Chapter 13: What a night

After their duet Uraraka and Deku sat back in their seats at their table. They'd held hands the whole way there everybody congratulating them on their new relationship and patting them on the back as they made their way back to their seats. Of course everybody also had questions so once the duet round had finished every now and then somebody would come over and ask them how long they'd been going out and if that was their first kiss etc.

"I knew you saw it as a date when I set you two up!" Ashido screamed as she snook up behind Uraraka hugging her tightly from behind.

"Yeah well we were going to go home but Deku convinced me to stay as a friend and in the end we both decided it could still be a date" she said smiling at her boyfriend.

"So why'd you lie about it?" Ashido asked a little offended over the matter.

"Because I know what you're like Ashido you would've asked so many embarrassing questions and we weren't a couple at that point" Uraraka replied glaring at her pink friend as if she didn't know the answer.

"Yeah not to mention Kirishima, Kaminari and Sero were there too who would've done the same to me and we just wanted to avoid the embarrassment and all the questions" Deku added.

"I suppose that's fair enough. I'm just so happy for you guys you're so cute!" She screamed.

"Thank you" they said in unison. Ashido bid them farewell and walked to the bar to get herself another drink. As she did Mineta walked over to them.

"What do you want Mineta?" Deku eyed him up knowing full well why he was here.

"I just want to ask a question" the tiny teen replied.

"Is it tasteful?" Uraraka asked.

"...no" he replied trying to hide his grin.

"Mineta...fuck off" Deku said not wanting to hear whatever perverted question he had.

"Ok" he said quickly running away seeing the threatening look in Deku and Uraraka's eyes.

"I'm so glad he didn't ask us anything" Uraraka said letting out a breath of relief.

"Same here" Deku replied. Just then Bakugo slammed his hand on the table next to Deku letting off a small explosion causing Deku to jump a little in surprise.

"DEKU!" he screamed in the poor boy's face. Deku turned to face him trying to be brave and stand up to him.

"What?" he said surprisingly confident and in an annoyed tone. Hearing this Bakugo hesitated for a second. Deku didn't seem bothered or afraid of him and he was glaring at him.

"I... I...YOU THINK YOU'RE BETTER THAN ME DON'T YOU!?" he screamed regaining his composure. Deku stood squaring up to Bakugo as he did with the same glare keeping up his act. However it wasn't an act anymore. Deku wasn't afraid of him.

"No I don't Kacchan" he said without missing a beat. Bakugo was stunned. He didn't know what to do. He realised his hesitation was making him look weak so he quickly made his point.

"You think you're so much better than me just because you've got a girlfriend now. Couldn't do any better than round face though could you?" he grinned knowing what he was doing.

"Why you little-" Uraraka jumped out of her seat but Deku put an arm out in front of her to stop her.

"Oh you're finally fighting your own battles instead of letting your girlfriend do it for you" Bakugo said still grinning getting into his flow now.

"Yeah that's right I am. I'm not afraid of you Kacchan" Deku said with a determined look in his eyes. Uraraka looked at Deku's face and saw that he was oozing confidence. He was doing it. He was really standing up to Bakugo.

God he's so sexy right now. I'm gonna have to kiss him again when he's done with this jerk.

"I don't believe you. Come on I know you're too weak to fight me yourself just let her off her chain or does your boyfriend tell you what you can and can't do now?" Bakugo said with somewhat less confidence than before doing his best to get under their skin. Uraraka glared at him and pushed against Deku's arm a little itching for a fight now.

"Deku just say the word and I'll beat his ass so hard he'll have to leave UA for being too weak" Uraraka said trying to get under Bakugo's skin now and it was working.

"The fuck did you just say?" Bakugo said staring at her itching to fight her now.

"No Uraraka you're not fighting him. Neither am I" Deku said keeping his girlfriend back but appreciating her support.

"What?" Bakugo asked confused.

"I'm not going to fight you Kacchan" Deku said again keeping his eye contact with the blonde and staring him down.

"Ha! I knew it you really are afraid of me" Bakugo said laughing. Seeing this Deku grinned and started to chuckle causing Bakugo to stop laughing.

"What the fuck is so funny you damn nerd?" Bakugo questioned getting annoyed. Hearing this Deku burst out laughing in his face.

"HEY WHAT'S SO FUCKING FUNNY!?" Bakugo demanded an answer grabbing Deku by his shirt again and lifting his other hand threatening to punch him. As soon as he did this Deku stopped laughing and glared back at him again a terrifying look in his eyes.

"Do I look like I'm scared of you?" Deku said with fire in his heart. Bakugo was shocked and let go of his shirt.

"Exactly. Now go sit back down before you embarrass yourself even more" Deku said to him before offering his hand to Uraraka. She looked at it for a moment confused.

"Deku?" She asked.

"I feel like dancing. Care to join me?" He asked still bursting with confidence. Uraraka saw the look in his eyes as they made eye contact.

When did he become so sexy? I've gotta make out with him later.

"Don't mind if I do handsome" she said taking his hand. They were really playing it up in Bakugo's face just to rub it in further that they'd beaten him. They walked towards the dancefloor hand in hand leaving Bakugo stood frozen in shock.

"Dammit. The nerd really isn't afraid of me" Bakugo mumbled to himself before returning to his seat to sulk. Meanwhile Deku and Uraraka were happily slow dancing to the music gazing into each other's eyes.

"I can't believe you just did that" Uraraka said in disbelief.

"Me neither but it felt amazing to finally stand up to him" Deku said amazed by his own actions and how easily it came to him. She leaned in to whisper into his ear.

"I thought you were very sexy standing up to him the way you did" she whispered making him blush furiously.

"O-oh th-thanks" he stuttered making her burst out laughing. Seeing this Deku couldn't help but smile.

She has the most amazing laugh. And that smile is the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. How is it I was so confident just a few seconds ago and with one sentence she reduces me to this blushing, stuttering mess? The effect she has on me is incredible.

Deku leaned in and kissed her passionately holding it for a few moments before withdrawing. They both smiled at each other so happy to be together at last. Tonight was a night they would never forget. Uraraka turned her head to the side and rested it against Deku's chest. As she did this Deku leaned his head against hers resting it there.

"Hey Deku?" She whispered.

"Yes Uraraka?" He whispered back.

"This is a pretty strange thing to ask but... would you....would you maybe want to...want to come over tonight?" She asked hiding her blush and embarrassment burying her face into his chest. Deku a little taken aback by the question began to blush too before he squeezed her a little tighter and kissed her on the top of her head.

"I'd like that" he replied. Hearing this Uraraka couldn't stop smirking, Deku too. Suddenly the music stopped and the disco lights were switched off and replaced with the regular ones that had been off all night.

"Ok everybody it's 11pm which means it's time to go back to UA now so everyone get on the bus" Mr Aizawa said into the microphone. The party was over but Deku and Uraraka didn't mind. They'd enjoyed every moment of tonight. Besides it wasn't over yet. Deku was coming over to Uraraka's room for the night...
