Chapter 5

Percy

My eyes shot open, sweat tickling down my forehead. I gripped my head trying to remember what happend this morning after we got caught but I couldn't remember anything.  I got out of my bed.

Wait Bed? How the heck was I in bed. I looked at my surroundings and realized that I was in my room.  The window was locked.My phone was on my bed. I quickly tossed some clothes on. Then opened the door and ran downstairs. I slid into the kitchen where I saw my mom and Dad, Mom wearing her regular gym clothes and My dad in his work clothes. They were busy doing stuff. When they looked at me. I expected them to be angry at me for  sneaking out of the house and trespassing into the school, but they just greeted me  Like nothing happened which, I found weird.  Anna Ran downstairs in her school clothes.

"Mom, why is Anna wearing school clothes on a Saturday?" I ask.

My parents look at me confused.

"Percy? Saturday? Are you  your ok" mom asks.

I give her a confused look back.

"Ya, why"

"Percy it's Thursday." My dad says.  I was confused. Was it all a dream?  It felt so real. I headed over to my room and closed the door lying on my bed trying to comprehend if I was still awake or asleep. Or was I lucid dreaming. Yeah maybe I was. Cause I was positive it was a saturday anyway I was glad that It was just a dream, cause if I were caught, now that would be a nightmare.

I got dressed and ready for school. I went outside hopping to see zack there but he was not there. So I decided to walk to school by myself.

I'm pretty sure I'll see Zack at school, then I can tell him about the weridest dream I had.

Beeep

Beeep!

My alarm clock beeped for who know how long, but after bringing my self to getting out of bed and getting ready for school. I was late. By the time I reached Percy's house he already left for school. I ran to school and ended up meeting with Abbie. She had less makup today and looked more beautiful than ever. I just hope I wasn't drooling. She waved at me, and I waved back at her like a stupid idiot.  She walked up to me.

"Hey Zack" she smiled. Gosh her smile is beautiful.

"H-hi" I say shyly.

It was awkward at first.

"I want to ask you something"  she said.

"Yes."I say.

She looked at me confused. "No I meant Yes. You can ask me out. I mean yes you can ask me anything" I smile embarrassed my face feeling hot.

When she was about to ask me. The bell rang. It's like it was doing it on purpose. "I'll ask you at lunch! See you then."  Then she skipped away.

"I. Am. Such. An. IDOT!" I Groan.

I wonder what she wants to ask me about. Is she going to ask me about that? No. Proably not. She can't probably be into me. No! NOT possible! Get it together Zack. It'd probably about homework. Yeah homework.  I looked at the time.

11:30.

Augh! Why is Lunch so far away.

"Mr. Thomson" I looked at my teacher.

"Would you like to explain this problem in front of the class." He asked. Everybody was looking at him some chuckled.

Aww man.

****Finnaly Lunch!!

I ended up getting detention but I couldn't care less. I decided to look for Percy when a hand was wrapped around my arm. There stood Abbie.

"Hey Zack" she smiles.

"Hey Abbie"

She pulls me towards the court yard  away from the cafeteria. She smiles at me.

Our eyes meet for a moment I feel my face flush.

"So um. What did you want to ask me" I say. Abbie bit her lip debating wether to tell me.  she avoided eye contact and I just stood there like an awkward Potato.

Hmmm I wonder if Percy is waiting for us. Percy usually doesn't like going to lunch by himself so I  hope We don't take too long.

"I need your help" Abbie said breaking through my  thoughts

"Ya. Anything" I smile. Happy to be usefull. Abbie smiles.

"You and Percy look really close." The moment she mentioned Percy's name My heart sank like a ship and I knew what was going to come out of her mouth next.

"Can you help me ask Percy out?"

I was waiting for Abbie and Zack. When I saw them walk into the courtyard.  I decided to let them be and headed towards Lunch by myself. When I spotted two firmliar faces, they were waving at me.

Zoe and Luke were sitting. I grabbed my food the sat by them. "Good afternoon" They say. Luke and Zoe are my friends. They were the new kids a couple of months ago. I was in charge of showing them around.  Then soon we sort of just clicked. They are awesome. It feels as if I get along with them more than Zack or Abbie. Like I understand them more. Which is pretty weird. 

"So how was your 2 week Vacation. You told me you would be here yestersay." I asked.

"Traffic, we came back last night" Zoe said. They both looked at me as if they were studing me, trying to find something about me. Which I was confused Luke looked at me.  Then he looked at Zoe, as if there were having a conversation in their head. 

A freshman came up to me.

"Hey Percy looking foward to the next chapter  next Period, Love your reading man."  He smiles. Then he walks away.

They had more confused looks in their faces.

"Oh! I read to my class mates during reading Period"  I explain

"You do?" They say at the same time.

"But your Dyslexia! Don't you hate reading" Zoe asked. I shurg.

"Yeah my Dyslexia gets in the way most times but it dosen't mean I hate reading" I pause for a second. "Hey. How did you know I had dyslexia"  I eyed them. I never told them about ot expect for Abbie and Zack.

"We heard from Zack" Luke says.

"Oh. Ok."

Speaking of Zack I was hoping to tell him about the craziest dream I had last night. But I guess they are still talking. I'll see him next Period. The bell rang. Indicating lunch is over. I headed to class when  Zoe stopped me and said.

"Hey percy?"  I stopped she studied me for a second.

"Never mind. Just don't get into trouble" Then she walks away.

Trouble I'm am the least Person to get into to trouble why would she say that. I  walked into class. I saw Zack sitting on his desk with his head down. I sat next to him.

"Hey Zack" Zack looked up at me, with a tired expression.

"Hey" he said, then the conversation ended. Soon the class filed into the classroom. Everyone was chatting and talking.

*** 30 mintues went by and people were starting to wonder where the reading teacher Mr. Andy was. Complaing about how they wanted me to continue reading. Others just chatted or used there phones. 

The principle walked in.  Everyone went sileng

"Class I heard that Mr. Andy is not here for the whole day. Turns out he quit his job and left on a vacation. We have already found a new teacher and he will be comming into this classroom in 2 weeks as well as he is going to change the subject of this class and teach something else. We don't know what it will be, yet but will inform you when the time comes. In the mean time we will separate you into different classes untill he arrives. So you can go home early today."

Everyone cheered.  The principle cleared her throat and the class was  sileny again.

"I do not want the whole school to know about me giving you an unneeded early release. If word  goes out. You will all be answering to me"

Everyone noded their heads about the threat.

"Other than that  You are Dismised."  Then she left. I stood up.

"If you guys still want to listen to me read I can have a session during Lunch"

They all cheered. Then they left the classroom. Soon it was just me and Zack.

"Hey Zack wanna go to the Icecream store?" I asked.  I also wanted to tell him my dream.

He looked at me and shook his head.

"I'll head home and rest I have a headache"

"Ok, then see you tomorrow"  he smiles then leaves the classroom. I look at the Desk Mr. Andy always sat. Something just did not add up. If he was retiring then he would have said so yesterday.  I guess it has to do with family stuff. Though I still wonder?

Did Mr. Andy really quit his job?

***Done!! I feel as if this one was not the best like the others but I still enjoyed writting it!! It was relaxing! Just so you know this story is undergoing some editing. Anyway. I am so happy I made it to chapter 5. Because chapter 6 is going to be a blast I know it!! Any way!! Enough Blabering from me!!
