Chapter 4

Percy

It's Freezing.

You know what I love more than stuffing food in my mouth and hanging out with great friends.

Blue!

I LOVE BLUE!

Blue food.   Blue candy

Blue clothing. 

Blue pokemon.

EVERYTHING Blue.

Except water. To be more exact pool water.  I know what your going to say. 'Pffft Percy water isn't blue it just to fool your eyes. Water is clear.' 

Well my eyes are fooled and it's Blue. My favorite color. Why does the one thing I love mix with the one thing I hate.

Blue water.

Especially when this water has alot of Chlorine. If I didn't hate water so much. I would prefer to swim in the ocean. (Without being eaten ofcourse)

I shiver as the cold water Pierces through my  body. I make a noisy sound. Zack tries hard not to laugh. Zack jumps in the pool splashing more cold water on me. Which didn't make it any better. I Hate waking up in the morning at 5:00am during the weekend to sneak into the school, and practice swimming but hey that's what Zack asked me to do.  I mean I could have easily said no but . . . . . .

Day: SaturdayTime: FREAKING 4:00 AM! In the morningStartus of me: Sleeping in bed. UNTIL INTEEUPTED!

(Now on to the flash back)

Phone: RING RING RING

I groan

Phone*rings lounder*

Without looking up I tiridly move my hand towards the table searching for my phone. Once i feel the Vibration of my phone I pick it up.

Me : *in a tirdly voice* "Hello"

The phone still rings. I look up at my phone. Forgetting to click the green phone button!

Me : *in a tirdly voice* Hello.

Zack: PERCY MY MAN! GOOD MORNING!!

I pull the phone away from my ear so that I would not be deaf

Me: "Zack?" I say in a confused voice.

Zack: dude Why are still asleep.

I look at the time.

Me: "What do you mean why am I still Asleep. It's Freaking 4 AM!"

Zack: Well  you know what sofia the first always says.

Zack takes in a Deep breath Zack: IT'S TIME TO RISE AND SHINE! WAKE UP AND MAKE THE DAY MINE!

I pull the phone away from my ear again. I groan tirdly.

Me: "Really Sofia The first how old are you again."

Zack: 17. and hey I'm not the only guilty one here   I bet your Cuddling with Clover right now.

I pulled the stuffed animal away from me and tossed it on the floor.

Me: "Nah. I'm not a Kid anymore. Why in the world would I sleep with a kidy  stuffed  animal. I gave it to my younger sister a long time ago!"

Zack: Sure buddy Sure.

I cleared my throat.

Me: "So uh? Why did you call me at 4:00 am in the moring?" I say changing the subject

Zack: Oh yeah about that! Wanna go swimming.

Me: "In the morning"

Zack: yeah

Me: "righy now?"

Zack: yeah

Me: "Again?"

Zack: yup.

Me: "At school where nobody is there and we are trespassing?"

Zack: Duh! Obviously!

Me: "You know know that if they find out what we are doing-"

Zack:  - we get kicked  off the team, can ruin our scholarship, and getting suspened bluh bluh bluh! Thanks Percy meet you there bye!

Me: "Wait!"

Zack hangs up on me. I slump on my bed. If he wants to go swimming in the morning and do something illegal, then something is on his mind.

Guess I've got no choiceI get out of my bed and head over to the bathroom I brush my teeth and and get dressed  my swim pants under My jeans and t-shirt.  I grab my gym bag and put all the stuff I need  including my phone and a towel, I get some clothes and put it on my bed covering it up with my blanket making it look like I was asleep!

Works Every time!  I open my window. Which is on the second floor. I toss the rope down then slide down. My feet touching the grass as I leave my house and vanish into the humid night! (Or morning)

Zack comes from underwater, his hand on the raling.

"You owe me bro"I say.

Zack smiles at me. "Fine"It was quiet for a little while, it was just me and him in the school. We sneaked through the back of the school and tinkerd with the lock.  When Zack asks me to do the craziest things, he is stressed out about something. I just go along with it cause I know that he might need somone to talk too. (Not worrying about the consqenses untill the very end.)

"Hey Zack-"

"Wanna Race" he interrupts me. So he is trying to avoid The talk eh? I guess i'll just play along for now.

"Big mistake, Zack.  challengeing me"

We got in our swimming position.

"Best two out of three" he says.

"Your on" I smile.

(Time SKIP!! DEDICATED TO BLUE FOOD! by yours trully percy jackson)

"I WIN!!" I smile. Zack took his googles of his face and set it on the side.

"How am I going to ever beat you?" He says out of breath. We both lean on the edge of the pool.

"Hard work and Determination" I say. He looked at me.

"But you don't work hard, and your not determined either." he says.

"I just said what my mom always says!" I say

I pause

"If this helps'Never give up till the very end' I got that from Pokemon"

He sinks down in the water. "Thanks"

It was quiet. The lights were out. Except for the moon light the glisten through the windows. "So tell me the real reason why you asked me to  come here"

Zack just sighed.

"Let me guess. It has to do with your step dad?"

Zack dosen't answer which meant that he did not want to talk about it."He is treating my Mom and sisters  worse." He says after a long silence

" Disrespecting them and treating them like trash. He is abusing us. I can't do anything about it except get smacked in the face and beaten up."

It wasn't dark so I saw the bruises on  his face and scars on his back. He must have been through Alot of pain.

"Why don't you tell the authorities" I ask after anothor quiet silence.

"They won't listen. My step dad is a fake around them. His house smells like beer and booze and stuff."

When I realized that Zack's step Dad was abusing them I wanted to smack him in the face. I felt a Pang in my heart. Like as If I knew how he was feeling.

"Hey Percy. Could you not tell anyone about this I don't want you to get involved"

It hurt that I had to keep my mouth shut. Infact I'm not usually invinted to his house becasue of how bad it is. I bit my lip. "Always."  I say.

After the last silence I say. "You feeling better?"

"Yeah"  he smiles

I looked at the time.

6:30

"Lets get put of here before-"

Suddenly lights Flashed on our faces.

"Hey!! What are you boys doing Here!!"

Qiznack.

CLIFF HANGER!! YAY!!! I LOVED DOINF THIS CHAPTER IT WAZ FUN!! I ENJOINED IT!! I hope you liked it too. School has started. And sadly summer Vacay is over*tears of sadness* and on top of that I just started highschool * tears* [i am so lonely I got nobody! XD] so I will try to update once a week!!!
