part 2
08:15, 4 September 2025Later that night, Boom returned to his penthouse. The city glittered outside his glass walls, but unease twisted in his chest. Aou's words echoed in his mind-an alliance wasn't just business. It was war disguised as partnership.
Boom loosened his tie, pouring himself another drink when his phone buzzed. An anonymous message flashed across the screen:
Nice view from up here. Be careful, CEO. Not all enemies knock on your door.
Boom froze. Slowly, he turned toward the balcony-only to find a single white rose lying on the table outside, glistening with dew.
His pulse quickened. He hadn't heard anyone come in.And yet, the message was clear.
Aou wasn't asking. He was already inside his world.
The city never slept, but Boom Tharatorn did not expect his sleepless nights to be haunted by a name-Aou Thanaboon.
After that meeting in the private lounge, Boom thought it would end there. A bold proposal, a dangerous man, and nothing more. But Aou wasn't the kind of person who disappeared after one rejection. He was a storm-and Boom had just stepped into its path.
For days, Boom's world felt... shifted. His security team reported unusual shadows around his offices. Competitors suddenly backed off projects without reason. Rumors spread through the business world that Boom was under mafia protection-a lie he hadn't agreed to.
One night, after a long board meeting, Boom returned to his penthouse, expecting silence. Instead, he found a bottle of wine on his dining table. Expensive. Unopened. And beside it, a note.
Consider this a peace offering. Drink it when you're ready to listen.
Boom's jaw clenched. "Arrogant bastard," he muttered under his breath. He knew exactly who left it.
And yet, against his better judgment, he didn't throw it away.
Meanwhile, Aou sat in the back of a sleek black car, watching the city lights blur past. His men were silent, waiting for orders. But Aou wasn't thinking about business, or rivals, or blood tonight. He was thinking about Boom-the only man who'd dared look him in the eye without fear.
"He'll come around," Aou murmured, smirking to himself. "They always do."
But deep inside, he knew Boom was different. Not easily bought, not easily threatened. And that's exactly why Aou wanted him more.
Weeks passed. Boom fought hard to ignore the mafia's shadow hovering around him. But the line between rejection and obsession blurred when one evening, his car brakes failed on a highway. The vehicle spun out of control, crashing against the railing with a deafening screech.
Shaken but alive, Boom crawled out of the wreckage-only to see another car stop nearby. From it, Aou emerged, calm as ever, hands in his pockets.
"Careless, Mr. Tharatorn," Aou said smoothly, stepping closer. "Good thing I was nearby."
Boom's eyes burned with fury. "Did you do this?!"
Aou's smirk faded, replaced with something sharper. "If I wanted you dead, CEO, you wouldn't be standing here. I saved you."
Boom's chest heaved. He hated the way his heart pounded-not from fear, but from the dangerous thrill of Aou's presence.
"Why me?" Boom demanded. "Why are you so interested?"
For the first time, Aou didn't smile. His gaze softened, though it held the same intensity."Because power recognizes power. And because..." He leaned closer, his voice a whisper against the chaos of the night. "...you make me want something I can't control."
Boom's breath caught. For a man who built his empire on control, that admission was far more dangerous than any gun.
The war between them had officially begun. Not one of bullets or contracts-but of desire, pride, and the risk of surrender.
And in this war, only one could win.Or perhaps... both could fall.
