Chapter 5

"Princess, are you sure about this?" Loke asked watching his master pack two backpacks.

"Yes Loke." She answered.

"Why don't we tell the master about this? Maybe he could help us."

"You know we can't do that. We can't reveal ourselves to them, what if it's just a rumor? We can't lose what we have here over that."

"And what if it isn't a rumor?! What if you're actually in danger? You can't put yourself and the kids at risk!"

Lucy looked up at him, she sighed. "I know there's a possibility that it's true. That's exactly why I have an emergency plan." She stated simply, avoiding the angry gaze of the lion spirit.

"A plan that involves you being bait!"

Lucy flinched at his tone. She knew he was only concerned for her wellbeing.

"It's fine. I'll only be holding them off long enough for the kids to escape. Then I'll escape and meet up with them."

Loke sighed listening to his stubborn master. He knew he could do nothing to change her mind. He knew Lucy thought this was the only way to keep her children safe. But it wasn't, she could have easily had the spirits fight in her place. But she refused to "use" them no matter how much they told her it was okay.

Seeing the doubtful expression on Loke's face she walked over to him. She took his hands in hers, "Remember we will only be using this as a last resort. It probably won't even come down to this so stop worrying." She said, smiling reassuringly.

Loke sighed, giving in. "Fine." He said lowly.

"Mama!" Two four year olds screamed running through the preschool gate. Lucy smiled as her children ran up to her wrapping their arms around her.

"Hey kids!" She greeted cheerfully. On lookers smiled seeing their interaction.

"How was school?" She asked her beaming children as they began their walk home.

"It was okay but we missed you so much mama." Luke answered gripping onto his mother's right hand. Nashi who was on Lucy's left nodded agreeing with her brother's statement.

"I missed you guys too. It was soooooo boring at home without my babies." She said feigning sadness, the twins giggled.

Nashi smiled at Lucy reminding her so much of Natsu. "It's okay mama, we're here now. No need to be sad." She said.

Lucy smiled down at them before bending down to their level. "You're right. And now that I have you with me I'm not letting you go." She said, she grabbed both of them pulling them closer. She placed kisses all over their faces. Their giggles echoed through the street.

They continued their walk home chatting excitedly. The twins were telling Lucy about all that happened at school and Lucy was listening attentively.

Once they got home Lucy began to prepare dinner while the twins played with their toys. They ate and then watched tv before Lucy gave them a bath.

It was 8: 30 when Lucy finished putting the twins to sleep. She sat on her couch with a glass of wine. She sipped as she switched from show to show until she decided to watch Ginny and Georgia.

She loved the show, she especially loved Georgia. Since she too was a mom who would do anything for her kids she related with her, aside from the murders. She didn't quite like Ginny's attitude.

The first episode had ended when Lucy got up to refill her glass. She grabbed the bottle and uncorked it, she froze with the bottle mid air. She tensed up, sensing a large amount of magical energy coming towards the house at an unimaginable speed.

"Shit!" She cursed dashing upstairs and into the twins bedroom.

She shook them awake and grabbed their emergency bags.

"Mama what's going on?" Nashi asked rubbing her eyes. Her hair spiking up in all directions just like her brother's.

"Alright mommy needs you to do something for her okay. I need you run to our spot in the forest alright? And if I'm not there within the next hour go to fairy tail."

Lucy placed her keys in Luke's bag. She placed the backpacks on the twins backs. She grabbed their shoes and quickly put it on them.

"I borrow the power of : Aries!" Lucy called out. Her body glowed as markings of the Aries sign appeared on her skin.

She opened the bedroom window and created a large wool bed on the ground below the window. She turned around and wrapped her arms around the twins giving them each a kiss.

"Mommy loves you. Remember that." She said before picking them up and chucking them out the window. She looked down seeing them bounce up and down on the wool before getting off and doing as they were told.

A loud crash sounded downstairs. She assumed that this was the front door being broken down.

She'd have to fight by herself. Her spirits wouldn't be happy about this in the slightest but she'd worry about that later.

"Star dress: Taurus!"

She ran downstairs and found 5 men searching through her house. "What do you want?!" She demanded calling the attention of the men.

A dark haired one smirked upon seeing her, "Well if it isn't the celestial Princess herself. We spent quite some time looking for you." he said going closer to her. Lucy backed up instinctively placing her hand on her whip.

"What do you want with me?"

"We just need your power for a little....project." The smirk never left his face as he spoke.

Lucy scoffed, "As if I'd help you." she replied.

"We weren't asking."

Instantly they all attacked at once. Lucy expected this and used her whip to stop them. She then called forth the power of Aquarius and blasted them with water. Lucy was fighting well considering it was 5 against 1. Though she was outnumbered she overpowered them. It was in moments like these she was thankful she trained her agility and combat skills.

Suddenly she felt a presence behind her, one she hadn't felt before. A presence much more powerful than the others. She didn't have much time to react before everything went black.

Luke and Nashi ran through the woods at full speed (well as fast as their tiny legs could carry them) dodging branches and jumping over tree roots. By the time they got to their spot they were both panting.

They climbed the ladder leading up to their tree house. The spirits had built this for them as a birthday gift. It was like a small apartment, equipped with a kitchen, bathroom, living room and bedroom. They loved it here but didn't go often.

They waited and waited. Eventually they fell asleep. They woke up to the sun shining brightly in the sky. "Mama still isn't here yet." Nashi stated her eyes brimming with tears.

Luke pulled his sister into a hug as his eyes filled with tears as well. They sat there crying. With a puff of smoke Loke appeared looking frantic.

"What happened? I can't feel your mother's energy."

At the mention of their mother the twins began to sob heavily. A look of realization appeared on Loke's face.

"They took her didn't they?"

"M-Mama said she'd come back but she didn't."

Upon hearing Luke's broken voice his face softened. He scoped up the twins in his arms and sat down on the couch with them on his lap.

He let them rub their snotty faces in his suit as he rubbed their backs gently telling them that everything would be okay. Eventually their sobs turned into sniffles. Now that they calmed down some Loke asked them a question.

"Did your mom tell you anything before you left?"

They thought about the last words their mother said to them. Nashi looked up at her uncle, her eyes and nose red from all the crying. "She said to find Fairy Tail." She replied.

Loke nodded, "And that's exactly what we're gonna do but first we need to get you something to eat and change your clothes."  he said bringing them to the tiny kitchen and placing them on the counter.

As he began opening cupboards to find them something to eat Virgo appeared with a basket in hand. She hugged the children briefly. "I've brought food." She said in her usual monotone voice.

The children ate and Virgo changed their clothes. Loke and Virgo walked with the children to the train station. Once they got there Virgo went back to the spirit world and Loke bought three train tickets to Mongolia.

For the first hour of the train ride the children looked to be in deep thought so Loke didn't trouble them.

The children didn't know how to feel, they didn't want to go to Fairy Tail. Although it was the only way to save their mother they dreaded seeing their father who was probably gonna be there.

Lucy had told them all about Natsu and Fairy Tail. She told them how much she loved it there. She told them how much she loved their father. She made sure to tell them that she was the one that decided to leave and that their father didn't know about them.

Lucy made sure to tell them her reasons for leaving. She told them that it wasn't their fault she left her family and that it was what she thought was best.

"I'm sure if your father knew about you he'd love you both dearly" She had told them before.

Lucy didn't tell them much more after that and they felt like she was holding out on some information. They had gone to Loke and asked. The spirit's face had twisted in anger at the mention of their father's name. He proceeded to tell them that Natsu left Lucy for someone else before she could tell him she was pregnant. He mentioned how heartbroken Lucy was.

From that day the twins held resentment towards their father. They wanted nothing to do with him because he hurt their mother. They didn't get why their mom still loved him. She didn't say so , of course, but they saw it in her eyes whenever she spoke of him along with a sad look.

"Your father was the best thing that had happened to me, well second best after you two of course. He was loving, kind, loyal and strong. You're both gonna be strong just like him." She would tell them.

No matter how many good things their mother told them all the good things about Natsu they continued to hate the man.

Anyways, the twins fell asleep for majority of the train ride and woke up when the train stopped. It was night time so Loke decided to get a room at an inn and rent it for a week.

He got the kids something to eat before they went back to sleep. He stayed with them the entire night.

The twins woke up around 10 in the morning. They got ready and headed out. Loke stopped at a cafe to get them breakfast before going to the guild. The twins gripped Loke's hand as they got closer to the large building. They stopped at the large front door.

Loke looked up at the building, noting that not much has changed about the guild hall. He sighed before kicking the doors open not letting go of the twins' hands.

The rambunctious guild members inside became silent. Most looked shocked to see Loke standing there. Nobody moved or said anything as the three walked inside.

The twins scanned the guildhall until their gaze landed on two bluenettes by the bar who hadn't noticed them. They pulled their hands out of Loke's grasp and ran towards the women.

"Auntie Levy! Auntie Juvia!" They shouted with glee. The two looked around in surprise at seeing them before picking them up and squeezing them. They placed kisses on them, causing them to giggle.

The two women looked down at the twins before looking up at Loke expectantly. "Where is she? Is she here?" Levy asked looking around.

'Who is she?' Guild members thought.

Luke opened his mouth to answer them but froze when he heard the voice of master mackarov.

"I'd like to know where she is as well. Where is she? What happened?" Master's serious tone caught the attention of everyone and made them even more confused.

Juvia, Levy and Master looked at Loke awaiting an explanation but it was Luke who answered. "They took mama." He said, his statement was barely audible, it's a shock that anyone heard him at all.

There were various emotions present on the faces of the three adults; anger,confusion and concern.

"What does he mean Loke?" Juvia asked, hoping that young boy structured his sentence wrong and meant to say something else.

"Maybe we should talk about this privately." Loke suggested looking at everyone listening in on their conversation.

It was only then that Master noticed the guild members listening quietly. Master nodded and led the way to his office, Loke followed behind him.

"Do you want to go with the other children or come with us?" Levy asked the twins.

"Where is Emmelia-Chan and the others?" Nashi asked looking around the building for her best friend.

"They're in the library." Juvia replied pointing to where the library was.

The twins wiggled out of their aunts' holds and ran to the library. Juvia and Levy giggled watching the two run excitedly.

Once the twins were out of sight they got up and headed upstairs to Master's office to find out what happened to their best friend.

"Does anyone know what's going on?" A confused guild member asked. No one answered him since they too were confused.

Gray and Gajeel wanted to know how their wives knew those children. They along with the rest of the guild wanted to know why Loke showed up. They wondered why the children looked and smelled (in Gajeels case) so familiar. And who was "she"? Everyone had questions.

"Lucy was what?!" Master, Juvia and Levy exclaimed in unison.

"Taken. Lucy was taken." The lion spirit repeated.

"How could this happen?" Levy asked in disbelief, slouching in her chair.

"Do you know who took her?" Master asked.

"The reapers. They're a dark guild. They aren't very big or well known but from what I know they're powerful."

"How do you know about them?"

"A few months back I heard of some dark guild looking for some powerful wizards to do some big. I did some more digging and found out they wanted a powerful celestial wizard and the zodiac keys-"

"Why didn't you tell us about this?!" Master interrupted.

"Lucy didn't want to bother you or make our location known for no reason if it turned out to be just a rumor. From what the kids told me Lucy woke them up and hastily got them out of the house telling them to find Fairy Tail if she doesn't come find them. She must have sensed them coming at that time. I hadn't sensed any sort of distress from her and then our connection seemed to break. I had no idea what was going on. I had first gone to the house and saw it ransacked then I went to the treehouse and found the kids crying. Then we came here."

Everyone stayed silent after Loke finished speaking, letting his words sink in.

"If they plan to do something drastic we need to stop them as soon as possible." Master commented.

Loke sighed, "Whatever they want to do they won't get to do it since Luke has Lucy's key. They'll probably torture her to find out where they are but they won't kill her since they need her."

"So what are we gonna do? I mean don't we need to save Lucy as soon as possible?" Levy inquired.

"I think we should tell the guild, that way we can have as much help as possible. And if they are as powerful as we think we are definitely going to need it." Juvia said.

They became quiet once more thinking of whether or not they should tell everyone.

"It's the best thing to do." Master said.

The four of them left Master's office and went downstairs. Just then the children came running out of the library.

"Mommy!" Emmelia shouted running up to her mother holding Luke's hand. Levy and Juvia smiled seeing them.

"What is it hun?"

"How long are Luke-kun and Nashi-Chan staying? Are they gonna stay at our house? Where is auntie Lucy?"

Levy and Julia's eyes widened at her last question.

"Auntie who?" Gajeel asked walking over to his wife with Gray beside him. They along with everyone else heard what the young girl said.

Emmelia clamped a hand over her mouth and muttered "Oops, sorry mommy.".

Levy sighed and looked over to Juvia. "We were gonna tell them anyways. Might as well do it now." The water mage said.

Levy nodded and claimed on a table near by. She cleared her throat, "These two children here are Luke and Nashi. Their mother is Lucy Heartfilia our beloved celestial mage!" she exclaimed before jumping off the table leaving everyone in a stunned silence.

"Levy, that's not all we wanted to tell them." Juvia whispered to the shorter woman. Levy's eyes widened once more "Oh shoot!" she exclaimed. She attempted to climb on the table again but was stopped by Erza.

"Why weren't we made known of this?! How long have you known?!" She demanded.

Levy shrunk back a bit. "Since Lucy left" She answered.

"Have you known where she was this entire time?!"

Levy and Juvia nodded.

"How could you not tell us? We've been worried sick about her!" Mirajane joined the conversation.

The bluenettes sighed, "She didn't want you to know, we're surprised she even told us where she was." Juvia answered.

"And if we told you she would have left again. And I wasn't about to lose my best friend a second time." Levy continued.

"Wait, was she pregnant when she left?"

Levy and Juvia nodded once more. Soon they were surrounded by guild members bombarding them with questions on the blonde mage. As their husbands were about to step in, Emmelia, Gale, Storm, Ur, Nashi and Luke surrounded the women.

They stood infront of them in a protective stance which the women found adorable.

Just then the guild doors opened and in walked Lisanna and Natsu. Natsu's eyes landed on Luke and Nashi. He wondered why they smelt and looked so familiar. Then he realized that they were the children he dreamt that he had with Lucy.

He went closer to the commotion. Lissana went to her sister's side. "Mira-nee what's going on? Who are those children?" She asked.

"Oh those are Lucy's kids, turns out Levy and Juvia knew where she was all along." The barmaid replied.

Lisanna stood frozen. She couldn't believe what she just heard. She couldn't care less that Juvia and Levy knew where she was. She cared more about the fact that she had children who looked a lot like her boyfriend.

"Who's their father?" Someone asked.

Gray laughed slightly, "Isn't obvious? They're pyros kids." he answered pointing at the fire surrounding both Luke and Nashi.

Lisanna's heart dropped. 'It can't be!' She screamed internally. 'I was supposed to give birth to Natsu's children not that slut!'.

Natsu was trying to process what he had just heard. 'They're mine?' He questioned himself. He felt happy but sad he had missed everything.

"Why didn't she tell me?" He questioned. Everyone froze, Loke who hadn't noticed his presence snapped towards him in anger.

Loke made his way over to him, his fists clenched. All the resentment he held towards the fire mage began to resurface. He lit his fist up, "Regulus: Impact!" He shouted punching the unsuspecting mage in the face sending him flying out the guild.

Everyone's eyes widened. Loke took a mini lacrima out of his pocket and tossed it to Luke, "I'll be back, not sure if I can stay here and not kill him." he said before disappearing to the spirit world.

Soon after Natsu came back inside rubbing his jaw.

"So they're really Natsu's kids?" Lisanna asked still having some hope that they were joking.

"We have no father!" Everyone turned to Luke and Nashi who looked angry.

They didn't expect this type of reaction from them. Natsu's heart sank upon hearing them.

"Alright! Settle down children! We have an important matter to discuss with you." Master shouted making everyone disperse and go back to their seats.

"The only reason my grand children are here today is because their mother, our beloved Lucy has been taken. I need each and every member to find as much information as possible on the dark guild "The Reapers" and what they plan to do with our dear celestial mage. We need to save her as soon as possible. Please make Luke and Nashi feel welcomed." He finished before heading back to his office leaving everyone to process what he said. Hell soon broke loose within the guild.
