chapter 21

this chapter is kind of brutal so i'm sorry.

everything will get better in the end but drama keeps the story flowing

you woke up the next morning, checking the time and date.

you panic.

your heart starts beating fast.

in one sudden thought, it hits you.

it's the make out scene with finn today.

you couldn't get by it.

the duffer brothers had tried so hard to to tell both you and finn but you had made sure they were fully blocked or couldn't get a word out about the topic. they had to put it back for so long but today, today you were told it was gonna happen whether you like it or not. and you...

you were stressed.

you were stressed because what happens after this, he might not like you anymore? what happens if he doesn't want you like he used to? what happens if he knew? well, he couldn't that was for sure. there was no way he would know this scene was going to happen today.

you grab your phone and text millie and sadie.

y/n - oh my god! its happening today!

you frantically go on instagram to check your messenges to detox your brain from everything. you were so scared, you just felt you couldn't trust finn. or maybe you were just nervous about having a MAKE OUT SESSION ON CAMERA! your mind was clogging up with thoughts.

you see a notification from you, sadie and millie's groupchat.

sadie - everything will be okay. just hope finn is eating mints ;)

you laugh at sadies reply as you see millie typing

millie - don't worry girly! get here pronto so we can talk about it!

you jump out of bed and quickly do your usual morning routine, prepared to start the day.

you get out of your mums car, as she drives away as you wave. you take one deep breath. you were so nervous, just being at the filming grounds, just made every bit of you tingle. you felt goosebumps up your back as you go into your trailer, grabbing out the new script from your closet. you go to the page and read it once again. you read the same line over and over.

it was your first big kiss. you had never had a boyfriend and were no where close to having your first big make out session. you didn't even know if finn wanted to kiss you. he didn't even know about the new script since the duffer brothers never got to talk about it. you hear your trailer door open as you quickly stuff the script back into its drawer. you look up as you see finn walk in.

"hey beautiful." he says as you giggle, looking down.

"hi." you answer shyly, blushing towards him.

"so, we filming a scene today aren't we. i would love to know whats the change in it if you hadn't been so rude to the duffer brothers every-time they were to speak about it." he says as you take a deep breathe. you felt it was time to tell finn about it. about the big kiss. he had a right to know and it wasn't fair you had to know about it but not him. you take a deep breath as his eyes grow concerned.

"you okay?" he asks as you look down.

"no. well i will be, i just, i need to tell you something." you say as finn sits down on the couch in the trailer as you sit beside him.

"what is it?" he asks, putting his hand on your legs.

"well...about our scene. the reason i haven't said anything is well..."

of course. as your about to finish, sadie and millie come barging in giggling loud to fill your ears. they look over at you and immediately shut up, as they notice finn sitting next to you. finn sighs as he sits back and gets up.

"talk to me later, alright?" he says as you nod, as finn leaves. he waves to millie and sadie as they start smirking towards you. you roll your eyes as they sit beside you.

"WHY WAS HE HERE? HUH?" millie says as you giggle.

"he just came, and i was about to tell him about the scene. ya know, that scene." you linger on as sadie and millie nod.

"did you finish or did we interrupt?" sadie asks as you look over at her with your eyebrows lift.

"what do you think?" you ask as she giggles.

"well, the duffer brothers can tell him. now come on, we need to make sure you look great." millie says as you laugh. they get up from the seat as sadie takes one arm of yours whilst millie takes the other. you laugh as they pull you up, you lazily not helping them. they walk over to your trailer door to walk over to the main makeup section. you drag behind them as they laugh.

you get out of the trailer as finn waits outside, his back towards you with his head looking down at his phone. you look at sadie and millie as their eyes widen.

"oh. my. gosh. you look hot." millie says as finn immediately looks up and turns towards you. his eyes widen as he looks you up and down. he is speechless as you walk down, your face warming up.

"you like it? i kind of think they did over done on the eyes but i-"

"you look absolutely breath-taking." he says as you giggle.

"aw, thanks finn." you say as his eyes look at you softly, his lips curving into a smile.

"shall we go beautiful?" he says as you laugh.

"why yes of course mike, lets go." you say, as he laughs at your comment. you link arms with him as you walk down together, your hair blowing in the wind. you look at finn as you catch him staring at you as you blush. you never saw yourself as beautiful until finn reminded you every single day. it made you feel great. it really, honestly did.

you look at him again, looking up, as you see his freckles and his hair, the same you did when you saw him at his house. it was just so beautiful in your eyes, you were so attracted to him in so many different ways. he made your heart thump in every direction it possibly could.

you were really falling for him.

"FINN AND Y/N, WE NEED YOU HERE PRONTO!" you hear your walkie talkie go off as you and finn look at each other, before sprinting to set. you arrived in a dash, with one sweat just slowly falling down your face. you walk towards the duffer brothers as they sigh in relief.

"we were scared for a minute." matt says as you laugh.

"nope, never later sir." you answer as matt laughs.

"okay well, we can finally talk about the new scene."

you take a deep breathe, as you look over at finn before looking over at the duffer brothers.

"so in this scene, we have made a big change that might affect you both but we feel it might be okay since we've seen your um," he coughs as he looks over at ross before continuing, "your chemistry lets say. so y/n, we have added a scene where you both will kiss. but not just kiss, you both will have to make-out on the couch." matt says as you nod. you look over at finn where surprisingly, his expression doesn't change.

"is that okay?" matt asks as you nod.

"fine. its just acting, right?" you say as finn looks at you, his expression suddenly changing.

"yeah. acting." he says coldly.

with finn's sudden change, you look at him weirdly as you look back at the duffer brothers.

"so here are your new scripts. and only the other cast mates knows about this." matt says as you nod. you grab the script as finn snatches it almost, as he walks away. you were shocked with his sudden switch in behaviour.

you go into position as their wasn't very much lines to rehearse. the only part that needed to be natural was the kissing. you take a deep breathe as you smile towards finn as he smiles, but yet it looks almost fake. you blow it off as you get into character.

"AND ACTION!"

start scene

mike and alex are talking on the couch about eleven and how to give her the energy she needs.

alex looks at mike hesitantly, as she gazes at his eyes then lips back and forth. alex wants to admit her feelings to mike as eleven and mike have just had a recent fight. mike keeps talking about eleven as he looks down and begins to slowly get angry.

"i don't get why she just doesn't get it. she just never get it!" he shouts as alex gets up and consoles him.

"shh, its okay." alex says as mike begins to cry.

"ALL I'M DOING IS PROTECTING HER AND WHAT DOES SHE DO! JUST TURN ME AWAY! HOW AM I SUPPOSE TO HELP HER WHEN ALL SHE DOES IS PUSH ME AWAY!" mike cries in alex's shoulder as she hugs him. as she hugs him, she kisses his forehead and as she does she realises what she has done. mike lets go of the embrace as they both look into each others eyes as alex quickly gets up.

alex quickly says goodbye to mike.

"i'll um...see you at school tomorrow yeah? everything will sort out." alex says as she goes to open the door.

"yeah...it will. thanks for being such a good...friend." mike emphasises the friend as alex feels her heart break, her expression dropping.

alex goes to walk out the door when suddenly mike shakes his head and walks up to her, pushing her against the door slamming it shut.

mike then looks at her lips then eyes before smashing his lips onto hers, as she kisses him back immediately as they begin their make-out session. mike pulls her on top of her as alex pulls into the kiss. but as she kisses him back, she immediately realises what she is doing.

she stops as they look into each others eyes, both panting with thrill filling their bodies. she gets off of mike and runs out the door.

end scene

as the scene ends, you were so shocked how smoothly it ended. finn almost knew everything to do, he was able to read and learn that script so fast since just seeing it. you had been looking at it there and then and were just able to remember it.

you walk back on set as you go up to the duffer brothers with finn.

"amazing guys! well done! i honestly don't think we have to do another take but we'll definitely double check, honestly incredible." they say as you laugh. you look at finn as he looks at you, before rolling his eyes.

"can i leave now?" finn says coldly, as matt shakes his head. finn storms off as you laugh.

"whats wrong with him, huh? i wasn't that bad at kissing." you say, as you giggle trying to blow over his unexplainable behaviour.

"when we told him about this scene about 2 weeks ago, he didn't want to do it. he might just not wanna kiss girls, probably not over kissing millie." matt says.

you freeze.

your whole body goes tense.

what. did. he. just. say.

"wait um..." you're shaking, your body is frozen, "finn knew about this 2 weeks ago?" you say as matt eyes widen.

"um...no, well. he was there when we discussing it so we just told him but he and the other castmates weren't suppose to tell you cause we didn't know how you would react-"

you couldn't even hear him anymore. you wanted to ball your eyes out. he was using you that entire time until today. he was completely playing you. he was completely and utterly playing with you.

you felt sick. as if you were about to puke.

"sorry um, i'll be right back." you say as you run over to finn. he was reading the script, sitting down on his chair with his name on it. tears fill your eyes.

"how could you." you say to him as he looks up at you.

"how could i what?" finn harshly says back, looking up at you before looking back down at his script.

"HOW COULD YOU!" you shout, almost everyone looking at you now.

"woah, easy there princess." he says as you roll your eyes, slamming your foot back.

"you disgusting, heartless, selfish, piece of shit. you played me this entire time didn't you? just for this? are you serious?" your heart breaks, each word that comes out your mouth almost spits towards finn.

"i didn't play you, i just needed you to be into it for the kiss. besides, isn't it 'just acting'." finn answers, rolling his eyes as a evil smirk on his face.

"fuck you, honestly. do you even care about me at all?" you ask as finn looks up. his eyes look up as you see the guilt in his eyes, but not in his face. he goes to say something before looking down.

"i don't think i do anymore."

your whole body breaks.

"good. all i wanted to know."

without anything else being said, you turn your head, tears streaming down your face before running out of the studio.
