Christmas

Sabrina's povI woke up to Puck , Daphne and Red jumping on my bed shouting " ITS CHRISTMAS! ITS CHRISTMAS! WAKE UP SO WE CAN OPEN PRESENTS!" But I wasn't mad. It reminded me that today is the day that we open all those gifts and spend all day together.I sprung out of bed and ran to the bathroom. I quickly brushed my teeth. Letting the minty taste wash away all the terrible morning breath. Then I brushed my hair and put it in a side fish tail braid. After I was done , I ran into my room, grabbed my robe and slippers and ran down stairs.

I didn't bother going onto the living room so that I can have the surprise of the sight and walked into the dining room and sat in my usual spot across from Puck. We were becoming great friends. But my sister and Uncle thought it was more than just friends and hung mistle tow everywhere.

But we were one step ahead and when they left us alone in the house, we each took a different floor ( so we wouldn't get caught under one together) and put them all in trash bags then burned them. So ha ha.Pinocchio came down stairs and yawned." Merry Christmas!" He said. " Merry Christmas!!" Everyone else shouted. Uncle Jake ,  Mom and dad walked down stairs.Then Uncle Jake pulled out his wand , waved it, and food appeared on our plates.We each had bacon, scrambled eggs with ketchup, two large mint chocolate chip pancakes and a large glass of hot coco to wash it down. " Whoa.." We all said. my mouth was watering. " Dig in! I didn't want to waste time cooking so we can get to them presents faster!" He said, winking.

We didn't want to waste time either and started scarfing it down. My mouth was watering, no wait, crying at how delicious it was. Us kids finished within five minutes. But we had to sit there and wait another ten minutes for the adults to finish.

After mom finished cleaning basil, we all headed into the living room. Well, us kids mostly bounced into the living room. I mean, like, even though Puck, Red, Pinocchio and I were a little old to be this excited, we still were. I mean come on,presents!

Once, we were all comfortable, we started handing out presents oldest to youngest. Granny went first. " Here you go, here you go, here you go, here you go, here you go, here you go, here you go, and here you guys go." She said, handing me, Puck, Daphne, Red, Pinocchio, Basil, Jake, And my mom and dad our presents.

I tore the paper to shreds like every one else to find a record of all the mysteries we've solved in a frame. It was amazing to see how many we've solved. Daphne got the same thing. Red got a vanilla scented candle for her meditating, Pinocchio got a sweater with a P on it, Jake got a coffee cup that said ' Magic' , Puck got a can of green silly string, and mom and dad got a photo album of everything we did with granny while they were asleep.Next, mom and dad went. They handed us our presents and we opened them. I got color changing alarm clock,Red and Daphne got a friendship bracelet kit, Puck got shampoo, Uncle Jake got a calendar,  Basil got a toy car set , Pinocchio got a robe and Granny got a bottle of squid ink and some rose petals." Jake, its your turn." said my dad. " Okay, lets make this simple. I got everyone a chocolate bar." He said. We all laughed. " No, I'm serious. " He said. He handed us each a Hershey's chocolate bar." Thanks." We all said." Okay! My turn!" I said. I ran to the tree and grabbed all the presents I bought for them.  I handed them each they're present and sat down to watch them open them. " Okay, ready, set, GO!" I shouted and they all started tearing into their presents.

" Thanks Sabrina!" Every one shouted but Puck. He shouted ' thanks Grimm!' . " Your welcome!" I shouted back. I watched as Daphne and Red put their necklaces on and mom put her braclet on. I loved seeing Granny in something other than sunflower too." I've been needing one of these, and look! Its rain proof too." Jake said, marveling at his new coat. Dad was already trying too open the box of the model airplane set. Mom had just finished opening the box and getting the barney toy out for Basil. He was giggling so hard.

" Wow Sabrina, thanks for the puzzle." said Pinocchio. " Your welcome." I said. " I wonder if I could fit Marsh-mellow in here and shoot her at ya Grimm." Said Puck, slowly looking at Daphne. " No, you can't Puck." I said. I saw Daphne sigh with relief.

"Aaaawwww...." He said loudly. " But, you can shoot real marsh-mellows!' I said , throwing him a bag. " Yes!" He shouted, opening the bag and pouring some into his mouth, then his gun. The next thing you knew, marsh-mellows were flying every where.

" Puck! Why don't you save your ammo?" Shouted Granny. " Good idea old lady." He said, sitting down. " Okay! Now us!" Said Daphne. " Yes, lets do it." Said Red. Together, they walked into the kitchen. We heard some whispering, and then they walked out. Daphne with a tray full of decorated gingerbread cookies, and Red with a tray full of non-decorated gingerbread cookies.

They each set down their trays and Daphne said, " We made each batch together." Then Red said, " Yes, the first batch, is a batch you can eat now. The second batch is the one that you get to decorate then eat.." Yum. " There is frosting ,  sprinkles, and candy on the table, all ready for you to start decorating." Said Daphne , handing Basil a decorated gingerbread cookie.

 He giggled and started to eat it. I took one and looked at the details. It had miniture gumdrops for eyes and a mouth and the buttons. A green frosting sweater vest, and chocolate brown frosting for the hair. I was really cute.

 I realized that they had made boy and girl gingerbread cookies. Instead of a cute little green sweater vest, it was a cute little green dress. I took a bite and looked around. Every one was eating a cookie and Red and Daphne had big, proud, goofy smiles on their faces. I took another bite, gosh, this is really good.

" Hey guys, this is really good." I said. Everyone nodded, still chewing. Their smiles grew wider, if that's even possible. " Thanks." They said together. " No. Thank you." Said mom. After we finished our cookies, Pinocchio spoke up. " Okay, for my Christmas present to all of you, I present you with these pictures of me burning all those marienetts." He said. We all cheered. Those things were creepy.

Now the only person left to hand out presents was Puck. We all slowly turned our heads to the munching Puck. It took him a few seconds to realize we were all looking at him. " Wha?" He said through a mouthful of cookie.

" Don't you have presents to give?" Asked Daphne. " What?" He said, swallowing. " Oh yeah! Yeah I do. Hang on." He said. He ran upstairs.We heard some thuds and some moving around. Then, with some horribly wrapped boxes, Puck came down the stairs again. " Sorry, I forgot to put them under the tree." He said, setting them down.

" Its okay Puck, I'm surprised you even got presents. I'm proud of you for thinking of others." Said Granny. " Yeah, yeah yeah, stop making it sound all mushy Old Lady. Your making me embbaresed." He said, blushing.

 " Are you.... Blushing?" I asked, smiling. " What does it look like Grimm?" He said hottley. " Ok, Ok, Sorry." I say. He nods his head. He starts to hand out the boxes, One by one. When he finished he said, " On the count to three. One... Two... THREE!!!" We all started to open our presents.

Granny got a coupon to Pizza Hut. " Old Lady, you cook too much. That's a break right there." He said. " Thank you Puck." She said. Hugging him. Jake got a miniture heat lamp. " Cool." He said. " Or should I say, warm." He said, elbowing Puck lightly.

Mom got a nice little bag full of cinnamon candy. " Ooooo, my favorite." She said, opening the bag and popping a piece in her mouth. Dad got a bag full of swedish fish candy. " Thank you." He said politley. Putting the bag in his pile of presents.

Daphne got what looked like one of his grenades. " Why did you give me a grenade?" She asked. " Its not a grenade. Its a coconut shell filled with Hot chocolate." He said. " COOL!!!" She shouted. Red got one too. They ran to the kitchen and came back with straws poked  in their coconuts.

Pinocchio got something funny. " Pinocchio, for your Christmas present, I'm giving you the gift of me not thinking your freaky anymore." He said, putting an arm around hi shoulder. " Thank you Puck. This makes me very happy." Pinocchio said, smiling.

I opened my heavy present. It was a note tied around a rock with a smiley face painted on it. I took the note off and read...

Grimm,

to get your present, meet me at my old throne in the woods at midnight to night. Do it secretly. Don't tell anyone and wear black. You'll probably want a flash light too.

Quickly , I put the note in my back pocket. " Uuuhhh... Thanks for the rock Puck." I said i a pretend annoyed voice. I looked at him and he winked. I winked back. " Your welcome. I painted it myself." He said, Putting on a smile.

" Oh joy." I said in a bored voice. " Okay, how about some cookie decorating?" Said Granny. " YAY!!!"  we all shouted and ran to the kitchen. I wonder what my present is.

---------------------8 hours later----------------------

( After lunch, cookie decorating, and playing with presents.)

I was eating my cookie and figuring out the puzzle with Pinocchio when I heard Granny talking on the phone. " Hi, I would like to order two large pizzas." She said. There was a pause. " Yes, one with Canadian bacon and pineapple and a supreme." Another pause. " Okay, my address is 235 Walter street." Another pause.

" Okay, thank you." And she hung up. I smiled. None of Granny's cooking for Christmas dinner. Thank you Puck! I took another bite as I fit another piece in. This is going to be a great Christmas dinner.

Twenty minutes later, the doorbell rings. " I got it!" Granny shouted. I heard the door open and some talking . Then I heard the door close. " Dinner!" She shouted. I got up and ran to the table. She was setting down two large, hot pizzas. My mouth was watering.

Instantly, everyone was in their seats and taking a piece. I grabbed a large slice of each and started sprinkling them with cheese. Oh god these look delichous. I took a bit of the pineapple pizza. It was like a little piece of heaven came down to the pizza and soaked into it. I savored every last bit. Then I did the same to the supreme.

After everyone had eaten. We ate some more of those amazing cookies. This was a pretty good Christmas. Great presents, amazing food, everyone happy. I love it. Now I'm just wondering what Pucks gonna give me.

Why do I have to go out in the woods? Why can't I tell any one? Why at fricken midnight in the winter? So many questions. Well, I guess I'll find out tonight.

------------6 hours later---------------

I'm in my room. Waiting for the perfect moment to go out. I have my black boots, skinny jeans, long sleeve shirt, jacket, gloves and beanie on. A flashlight, back-pack and can of hot chocolate too. Then, at 11:30 pm, I snuck out into the hallway. Quickly making my way down the stairs and out the door.

I made my way down the path tot the woods. I turned on the flash light and took a sip of hot chocolate. Hot chocolate, I'm jealous of you. Why do you have to be so warm while I'm so cold? In the light , I saw my breath.

I remember when I was little and used to pretend I was a dragon when I did that. I was fun. I'll do it now to pass the time. I took a deep deep breath and... I breathed out. Watching my breath. Its so cool.

 After pretending that I was a dragon, I found that I was already at the throne. I check my watch. It was 11: 56pm. No Puck. I sat down on the bed. Gosh its so cold. I looked at the old pool. It was iced over. Wow.

I check my watch again. 11:59pm. Still no Puck. So I listened. I heard the branches rustle in the wind and an owl somewhere in the distance. Then I heard a humming sound. The sound of his wings. I smiled. Finally.

" Hello Grimm." He said, landing softly on the ground. " Its about time. Its 12: 15." I said crossing my arms. " Sorry, I had to get a snack. " He said. " Okay. So whats my present?" I asked. " I thought we could look at the stars. You can always see them better on a cold night." He said , looking up.

Just as I was about to say some thing about his cheesy-ness , He cut me off. " And, a clue about that girl." He said, smiling. " Oh my gosh! Tell me!" I shouted, jumping on the bed. " Okay, okay, calm down." He said doing those calm down motions with his hands. I settled on the bed and looked at him.

" Her last name is Pine and she's 13. " He said. looking at me. I smiled. " That give us something to work with!" I shouted happily. " Yeah, now lets get to those stars. " He said. " Okay." I said. I smiled. Now that's a nice present.
