Chapter 20 : Does He Like Me?

Jiyeon's POV

We kept looking at each other without uttering a single word. Our faces were so close to each other. I pushed myself up but he pulled me down again, one of his arm wrapped around me. I kept looking at him in confusion.

Then suddenly I heard the door being unlocked. I rolled away from him and sat at the edge of the bed. He too sat on the bed but away from me.

"Jiyeon-ah, let's go to the arcade–Uh? What are you doing here?" Wookyung said looking at Seonghwa.

"Uh..." He wasn't able to tell anything.

"But why do you both look awkward right now? Did something happen?" he questioned.

"No!" We both said at the same time. We looked at each other and then looked away nervously. I was going to explode then.

"Ah... I've to leave now," Seonghwa said and stood up.

"Uh... Okay..." I said, still awkward.

"I'll get going then." By saying that, Seonghwa left. I let out a deep sigh when he finally left.

"What were you two doing?" Wookyung asked, narrowing his eyes.

"Nothing..." He looked at me in disbelief. "It's really nothing. Now get out!" I shouted and pushed him out of the house.

"Yah! Yah!..." I slammed the door on his face.

"Yah, you little rascal! How dare you push me out?! You'll have to pay for it." He yelled from outside but soon he left. I could hear his footsteps fading away.

I leaned back on the door and sighed. I almost had a heart attack there.

"I kissed him..." I touched my lips. "And it was my first kiss too." I screamed and ruffled my hair.

I'm going crazy!...

"What are you thinking?" Jina said and sat beside me.

I came to the cafe but wasn't able to focus on work because of that incident.

"Just..." I wasn't able to say as I started blushing on recalling it.

"Why are you blushing?... You're blushing as if you kissed Seonghwa?"

I looked at her in shock. "How did you know?"

She gasped. "You really... KISSED HIM?!" 

"Yah, lower your voice!" I covered her mouth with my hand. "Someone might hear it."

She removed my hand. "Araseo, araseo...So what exactly happened?" She leaned towards me, looking all curious.

"Actually..."

She gasped dramatically after hearing the whole thing. "Am I watching a drama here?... And Seonghwa is your first kiss..." She smirked at me.

"I-It was just an accidental kiss."

"So what? It was your first kiss after all." I sighed and pouted. "I think... Maybe he has a crush on you."

"No way, it can't be. You're just making things up."

"Just think about it...Why did he gave his number to you? Why did he want to be friends with you? Do you know why?" I shook my head.

She sighed. "You're not even getting the hint. You're really so dense Jiyeon... Seonghwa likes you, pabo."

"Jina you're–"

"I know you'll not accept it now. Look, idols can also fall in love. They're also normal human beings like us. It's a normal thing to fall for someone, isn't it?"

I looked down, thinking about what she just said.

Does he like me? But why would he like me someone like me?

Then some costumers came in. "I'll get the orders, you prepare the drinks," she said and left to take the orders.

[Some days later...]

"Bye, Jina." I waved at her before parting our ways. I had to go somewhere else so I took a bus to go there.

"How have you been, mom and dad?" I said as I walked near the grave. "I also brought your favorite flowers."

I sat down on the grass, beside the grave. "Remember... when we used to go to grandma's house to pick them? I would keep crying if that flower didn't bloom that time." I chuckled. "I was so stubborn back then."

I looked at the sky. "Now when I think of those times, I want to live it once again. I want to go back to the time when we used to be a happy family. Mom, dad and me... It was so nice back then. But when you both left, I became all alone... I was so lonely and depressed..." I was becoming teary.

"That time Wookyung came to me and stayed by my side... How is Wookyung? He's doing fine. He always takes care of me. Now I only have him..."

I spent some more time there before going back home.
