✮⋆˙ Slurred words
14:21, 31 August 2025★ SATURDAY 22nd JANUARY ★
DANNY WAS NOWHERE TO BE FOUND, normally after she wins - which she did tonight - she spends majority of the rest of the night making my life a living hell for losing against her
So where was she?
I had waited for her on the dance floor, expecting her to pop up anytime soon with a mischievous smirk. But she never did
I had also waited for her at the bar, I had asked Jerry if he had seen her and he directed me to the bathrooms where he thought he saw her go to
I didn't have an answer as to why I was looking for her, it definitely wasn't going to work out in my favour. Once I had found her she would probably tease me endlessly for being worried in the first place
But fuck, I was worried
This wasn't normal, Danny always rubbed her wins in my face like clockwork. So where the bloody fuck was she? And I couldn't explain it but I had a really bad feeling settling into my gut that made me look for her even more urgently
"Move" I grumbled, shoving past a person who attempted to push me toward the dance floor. They ressponded with a curse before moving onto someone else
I scanned the hallway where the men's and women's toilets were, I obviously didn't go into the girls, i'm not a perv. But I stood outside them for a bit, waiting for Danny to emerge out of them
But, she never did
However something in the corner of my eye caught my attention, at the bottom of the crowded hallway someone had a girl over their shoulder, body unmoving
At first I thought it was just some random girl who had drunk too much and was being taken home, but then the lights caught on her hair, revealing the cherry red streaks mixed in with brunette
It was Danny
I didn't wait a second, urgency running through my veins, shoving people out of the way as I got closer to them. They disappeared around a bend but I was a few strides behind them
No way in fucking hell was I allowing Danny out of my sights
She was completely limp in his arms, her head bobbing side to side every time he took a heavy step. Her arms were by her head, moving along with every sway. This was wrong. This was all wrong
It didn't take a genius to figure out that Danny had been drugged, I knew it happened here, it was always a risk. I didn't have to worry about it that much because the girls were mostly spiked, not the men but I still was cautious
Fuck, fuck, fuck
Come on, Danny just punch him or some shit
I tried to mentally send over that message, but it wasn't transferring as Danny remained slack over his shoulder, head hitting his back
Rage bubbled inside me as they slipped out to the back stairs, I was ready to kill whoever this fucking sicko was. I couldn't even think about what he had planned for Danny without wanting to be physically ill
That was never going to happen, I wouldn't let that happen
"Oi!" I called out before the door shut, my voice drowned out from the blaring music
Adrenaline hit me like a punch
I shoved passed sweaty shoulders, and random elbows. My heartbeat roared in my ears, pounding louder than the music
Throwing open the back door with enough force for it to loudly bang against the wall like a gunshot. The man didn't turn back, ignoring the sound
"Oi" I shouted again, my voice sharp and threatening
He finally did turn, eyes widened slightly as he took me in. Eyes trailing over my tattoos, my thunderous expression and my clenched fists
But he quickly masked his worry with an annoyed scowl, hands holding tight to her legs, too close to where her black denim skirt had ridden up. Every protective instinct in me ignited as he palmed her skin
"She's with me" He said with a deep, gruff voice. His jaw ticked, no doubt pissed that I was interrupting him
Fucking sick and twisted prick
Danny finally stirred, mumbling something that couldn't even count as words. One of her leopard print heels slipped off her feet, hitting the floor, the bang echoing through the stairwell
"She's with me" I repeated, sneering as I made my way to them, taking two steps at a time "Now fuck off before I cut your dick off and feed it to you"
He stared me down, debating his options but he still didn't make any move to let her go. A second later, he dropped her on the floor, not even bothering to put her down gently
She landed in an awkward heap on the floor, the back of her head hitting the wall
I was already planning his murder in my head as I moved to her, cupping her face in my hands. She murmured something, but it sounded like gibberish to me as she slurred so bad as her lips could just about move
Gently as possible, I used my thumb to pull open one of her eye lids. They were blown wide and darted around frantically, the usual brown in her were nothing but a small sliver
"Look man, she asked for it. The drugs you know, I was just taking her somewhere to ride it out" The man lied, creating a shit excuse as he backed away from us, planning his exits
Quickly adjusting her leopard print bikini style top, I stood up slowly, rage taking over my body. My head turned to glare at him "You're fucking dead" I growl, my voice low and menacing
He backed up, hands up in defense as he stumbled backwards "I didn't know she was your girl, lad-"
I stepped forward, fists ready at my sides. A vicious calm washing over me, the violence I craved stood in the forefront of my mind as I continued to stalk up to him "Yeah she's fucking is, so who the fuck are you? Pathetic arse prick"
Danny obviously wasn't my girl, but I needed to get my point across. I couldn't dwell on how easy the words came out of my mouth, so naturally
"It was no harm done" He hissed out through from gritted teeth, offended by my words. Good "She's grand ain't she?"
I chuckled, dark and intimidating "Maybe, but you're fucking not" Before he could get another word out, I had already swung
My fists collided with his large nose, a satisfying crunch ricocheting off the walls. He went to defend himself but I was quicker, the next punch directed at his eye
It landed, of course. He wailed out in pain, clutching his nose tight as blood trickled through his fingers, bits of dropping on the floor. Crimson was sprayed over his face, staining his clothes
I gripped the back of his neck, fisting his collar with an unyielding force, tighter than I had held Jasons yesterday. He snapped his head back, trying to loosen the pressure but I didn't give him the satisfaction
Yanking him toward the stairs, I held him on the top one, his feet slipping, trying desperately to find a grip
"What did you give her!?" I snarled, hooking an arm around his neck, pulling him into a headlock
He choked, a gargled sound "K- K- Ketamine" The man forced out, the words almost intelligible but I managed to make them out
"Good bitch" Was all the warning he had before I suddenly released him, kicking at the back of his shins so he collapsed forward. His hands flailing as he tumbled down the stairs, each step tearing a new groan out of his throat
God, he was dramatic, it was only a small flight of stairs
I didn't watch him for long, Danny was now my main focus. When I turned she was still in the same position that bastard left her in. Her eyes were squinted, but open nonetheless, as if she was trying to adjust to the bright lights. When I came into her view, she tried to turn her face away in slight panic
"Hey, hey it's me" I murmured softly, trying not to spook her as I kneeled down in front of her. Something ugly twisted in my gut. Anger. Fear. Relief, all tangled together "You're alright, i've got ya"
The moment she heard my voice, all her worry melted away. She flopped her head into my lap, arms slipping around my waist, she mumbled something into my thigh, but I could't understand her
I brushed her hair, using gentle and hesitant hands. I debated what to do with her, I could take her back to mine but look how that turned out last time. Guess i'll have to take her back to hers then
Holding her up, I scooped Danny carefully into my arms, holding her bridal style. Her head lolled backwards, too heavy for her to hold up. Her body remained limp as we walked up the stairs, I was holding one of her high heels in my hands
"K... K- Kie" Danny mumbled, her words slurred and slow. My heart skipped a few beats at the nickname
Back when we tolerated each other, Danny had her own nickname for me, hers different from everybody else. Back then, it made me feel special. But once we decided we were better off as enemies, she stopped using it, and I stopped using hers
"Yeah, it's me Ells. You're okay now" I answered, holding her closer to my chest
