Chapter 14

Hinata's POV

"I- I think I owe you an apology." I said to Naruto full of regret after we stood up.

"It's fine, Hina, you don't have to say a thing. Remember I almost did the same to you a year ago." Naruto glanced at me with a sad smile.

"No, don't you ever say that again, you didn't! And I need to. I am sorry for not listening to you when all you did was trying to help and I am sorry for being so bad to you all the time." I spoke. "But mostly, I apologize for being selfish. I painted you in the blame and it's not okay. I never even gave it a thought about how you felt. I've never considered the possibility you were hurt like I was. 'Cause, after all, we both agreed on it but even so I held you responsible. And me...I let myself play the victim..."

"Quit apologizing already! We are at a party!" He grinned like he didn't hear a word.

"However" I continued. "I finally opened my eyes and now I see."

"Took you long enough." He smirked.

"Friends?" I smiled pulling out my little finger for a pinky promise.

"Friends." Naruto returned the smile but didn't make the pinky swear.

"Don't you know what this is?" I tilted my head.

"No, I know, but I don't think you do. Did you know that you have to cut off your pinky finger if you break the promise? I don't want that and my plans for the future don't end with 'just friends', milady." He winked. I opened my mouth and closed it a couple of times trying to find a good comeback. Damn, I hate when I'm left speechless.

"Whatever" I rolled my eyes in the end. "What're you doing here? I never knew you and Neji were that close that he would invite you to his new house. But then again, it's also Lee's, and you two are pretty good friends so it makes sense...What?! Is my make-up ruined..." I asked confused because he was staring at me with an amused look.

"You're in my house." He answered. I was staring at him speechless once again.

"No." I shook my head in disbelief. Actually, it makes sense. Neji and Lee could never be able to afford such a house and why would they? It's too big for only two people. And now that I think about it this most likely is the reason Sakura and Tenten were acting suspicious. "Oh my gosh, it is your house." I facepalmed myself after the quick analysis I made. Well played, Tenten, well played.

"Do you want me to take you home?" Naruto offered and his look suddenly got worried again.

"I-um...Can I stay here, I don't want to worry dad?" The truth was that I felt safe in Naruto's presence and I wasn't emotionally ready to leave.

"Of course you can. If you're too tired I can take you to the room you'll sleep in."

"And what if I'm not?" I made a step towards him. Where did this come from? God, the alcohol in my system is affecting me.

"You suggesting something, princess?" He smirked once again with a raised brow.

"I am, actually." I admitted. He was looking at me playfully and expectantly. "A movie night of course."

"Aren't you sc-" He began but realized that right now it may not be the best time to tease me about such a thing. But it was fine with me...only because it was him teasing me. I feel like if it was someone else I would fall apart again.

"Scared you will try to make a move on me?" I ended his sentence. "Why don't you try to find out?" The liquor in my blood was making me bolder than ever but I didn't mind.

"Brave, aren't we?" His glance was intense. "How much did you drink?" He asked amused.

"I'm not into drinking." I tried to deny it.

"So you're doing shows like the one in my kitchen even when you're completely sober? You never cease to amaze me, m'lady." He teased. "But I prefer to keep you all for myself." Naruto added.

"How much did you see?" I gasped face palming myself.

"Enough to tell you drank half the bottle of my whiskey by yourself." The blonde laughed. "You shouldn't have drunk that much if it was your first time doing it, baka." He took my hand and led me through the corridor to one of the rooms.

We entered a huge room and I started wandering around exploring. There were anime posters over the bed I was particularly interested in. There was also a guitar I played a few accords on. Skateboards were hanging on one of the walls and a basketball hoop on the wall opposite the bed. Under the floating bookshelf was standing a PlayStation and two bean bag chairs. There were two other rooms in the room. After I asked him Naruto explained that the mirrored door is leading to the closet and the other one to a bathroom.

"Isn't that a bit too much for a guest room?" I inquired after sitting on the bed to test its softness.

"It would be." He agreed.

"Would be?" I questioned.

"Put two and two together."

"Four? What does math have to do with the room?" I was confused and he was standing there laughing at me. "What?" I pouted.

"This is my room." He explained.

"So you really are trying to hit on me?" I teased him.

"Seems like you want me to." He teased me in return. "But you'll have to wait a little longer for that kind of pleasure, princess."

"It's not like you're the only boy."

"I'm just the only one you want." Naruto winked.

"Keep dreaming, foxy."

"Foxy?" He gave me a questioning look.

"You've always somehow reminded me of a fox. Foxy, hmm, I like that." I explained him and repeated his new nickname a few more times to taste it. My stomach suddenly started to hurt so bad and I hugged my legs in attempt to stop the pain and growled disgruntled. Naruto then walked somewhere but my vision was a bit blurry so I couldn't tell where he was going. "Where did you go, foxy? Hey, foxy, foxy. Hihi. Are you peeing right now? Oh, you may be pooping." My thoughts were coming out of my mouth with no filter and I couldn't stop them. "Gross, foxy. Ouch- my stomach...I think I will, oh-" I was going to vomit. I put my hands on my mouth trying to prevent myself from doing it on his bed. I made one step then another and then I couldn't hold it anymore.

"There, there, good girl." Naruto put a plastic basin under me and held my hair back.

Naruto stood there patting me on the head telling me everything was alright. Then with we went to the bathroom and he helped me clean myself up.

"You need something to change into, you're not sleeping with these clothes on." Naruto said.

"Hmm, some sweats and an oversized shirt would be fine." I suggested.

"There you are." He handed me his clothes after he exited the closet. "You can change in the bathroom if you want."

"I might change here. What do you think?" I smirked daringly.

"It's not like I haven't seen a naked girl before." Naruto shrugged his shoulders.

"But I was your first. And favorite."

"Keep on dreaming, m'lady."

"That's my line." I pouted.

"Go change already or I'll do it for you." He warned me.

"Fine, fine. We'll be naked another night." I widened my eyes after the last thing I said. I didn't mean to. "Fuck." No, this didn't sound good after the 'naked' sentence. I ran to the bathroom hearing his laugh in the background.

"How do I look?" I asked twirling.

"Better. Now come here." He was on laying on the bed with a laptop in his hands and patted the space next to him.

"You are treating me like a dog. First the 'good girl' and now this patting. What are we watching?" I questioned.

"I'll let you choose."

"That was so Libra of you." I rolled my eyes with a smile. "Let's watch...'Kimi no na wa'."

"Fine with me." He typed the name on his laptop.

"Now what, we're gonna cuddle watching anime like a couple?" I laughed.

"Of course not." He pushed 'play' and the anime began. "We're gonna cuddle watching anime like just friends."

"Fine with me." I yawned, it was a long night but in the end, I was home and safe in Naruto's embrace. "Thank you, Naruto." My eyes were heavy and sleep took over me.

"Goodnight, princess." Was the last thing I heard. I'm pretty sure Naruto kissed my hair but it may be just my imagination...
