Chapter 17 – I like you

I was sitting on my bed, a lollipop in my mouth and a blanket wrapped around me. I looked at the clock and tried to read the time, even though it was dark and I could barely see anything. 4. a.m.

I couldn't sleep. Well, how could I sleep? After what had happened with Jonghyun, there was no way I could sleep and every time I thought about it, the scene kept replaying in my mind.

"But don't worry, you should know that I am all yours"

And then, he kissed me.

Soft and gentle. Passionate and aggressive. I could feel everything. My eyes widened and my face probably looked like a tomato right now.

Ten seconds. It probably lasted ten seconds. Then the wagon stopped and he parted away from me. "I hope you enjoyed the ride, have a nice day," the worker said as she opened the door and we excited.

Hana and Oliver were already at the exit, along with Hyorin, who was eying me suspiciously; she had probably figured out that something must have happened after seeing my face expression.

Suddenly, Jonghyun's phone rang and he excused himself. He was standing at the corner but I could hear what he was saying. "I'll be right there," he said.

"Sorry guys but my agency has called me for an emergency meeting; I have to go," he said. "It is fine, hurry and go," Oliver said and Jonghyun waved his hand at us and we walked away.

"Soo Min!" I heard from the back. I turned around and saw Jonghyun who was calling out my name. "Meet me at the usual place tomorrow at 6.p.m," he said with a smile and walked away.

Did that smile mean something? I don't know.

But now, let's get back to reality. It's 4.a.m. and I don't know what will happen today. And what did that kiss mean? Is it normal for idols to go around and kiss random people?

By now, I was chewing on the stick from the lollipop which had been finished ages ago. What can you do when you can't sleep at night? Exactly, continue writing your novel. I took my laptop and started writing.

I wrote and wrote and didn't realize that it was already morning. "For today, let's go shopping," Hana said as she barged into my room. "I like the idea. Let's go" I said and we got ready. After taking a shower and eating breakfast we all four said goodbye to my parents.

As we opened the door, we saw Sulli and Jaejoong waiting in front of our doorway. "What are you doing here?" Hyorin asked shocked. "Missed me?" Jaejoong said and put his arm around Hyorin's shoulder. "Of course not," she said and tried to remove his arms.

"What are you guys doing here?" I asked Sulli. "I heard that you guys are going shopping today, we wanted to come along," she said. "How did you know?" I asked curiously. "I told her," Jaejoong said. "And how did you find out?" Hyorin asked.

"I got my ways," he said mischievously. Hana and Oliver were just listening to our conversation and probably wondering who they are. "You are just a stalker," Hyorin remarked and Sulli and I laughed. "Anyway, you guys can join us but there is a problem: the people from the mall will recognize you," I said.

"That's not a problem. We will be going to a mall which is owned by a member of my band. I called him beforehand and he will make sure that we are not disturbed by the public" Jaejoong said. "Which band member?" I asked. "His name is Junsu"

"He sure is rich to own a mall," Oliver said. We went to Jaejoong's car, after introducing them to Oliver and Hana, and in a short period of time, we arrived at the mall. After shopping for three hours, I had bought some new shirts and a new jacket. We had decided to visit one last store before going for lunch.

"Soo Min, you should buy this dress for your date," Hana said and giggled. "First of all, it's February. I'd be crazy if I wore it in this weather. And secondly, I am not going on any date" I said. "Why are you trying to deny that you are going on a date? Jonghyun really had the guts to ask you out in front of everybody, I still dislike him though" Hyorin said and sighed.

"Jonghyun asked out Soo Min? Guys, that's big news" Sulli said in an amused tone. "He didn't ask me on a date! He just asked me to meet him" I pointed out. "Which means going out on a date," Hana said.

"Are you girls done talking?" Jaejoong asked. We turned around and saw Jaejoong having a bored look on his face and Oliver looking like he could punch somebody. What is wrong with him? "Yes, we are," I said and made our way to the exit. "Girl talks," Jaejoong said and shook his head.

After lunch, we went back to Jaejoong's car and drove back home. By the time we had arrived, Hyorin, who was sitting in the passenger seat, had fallen asleep. This girl surely can sleep anywhere at any time. We all went out, except for the sleeping Hyorin and Jaejoong, who was sitting in the driver's seat.

I went to the door from the passenger seat and tried to open it so that I can wake up Hyorin, but it didn't open. Suddenly, the window got opened up by Jaejoong and I was wondering why he had locked the door. "Open the door," I said.

"Sorry, I will borrow her for a while," he said. After that, he smiled, waved his hand at me, closed the window and drove off. "What happened right now?" I asked bluffed.

"Jaejoong just kidnapped a sleeping Hyorin" Oliver answered. "How am I supposed to go home now?" Sulli asked and Hana just laughed. "You can spend some time at our house" I suggested. "Fine," she said and we all went inside of our house.

We went to the living room and saw Kyungsoo, who was watching TV. "Hey Oliver, want to go to the sauna? Just us guys" he said and Oliver agreed. Shortly after, both of them left.

"Your date is in two hours, let's get you ready," Hana said. "I told you, it's not a date," I said annoyed but Hana and Sulli just smiled and dragged me upstairs, to my room.

1 hour and 25 minutes later, I looked at myself in the mirror. "Guys, what is this? Where am I going? At a party?" I asked. "You look great! Stop complaining." Hana said and I just sighed.

I looked at the mirror again and saw the black dress I was wearing. I certainly did not like it. "I am changing into clothes which I like," I said and went back to my room. It took me another 15 minutes to change again. "Better," I said after I got ready.

After that, I left for the park. The whole time, my heart was pounding fast. How will he react after he sees me? Will he do as if nothing happened? Is he regretting having done that? While being lost in my thoughts, I hadn't even realized that I was at the park already.

I looked up and saw Jonghyun standing about 15 meters (about 50 feet) away from me, talking on his phone. He looked way too good.

He ended the call, saw me and smiled at me. Only if he knew how much my heart is pounding just because of a smile. "Hey," he said as he came towards me.

"Hi," I said nervously. "Your new hair color looks nice" I complimented. "We are preparing for a comeback, so I decided to show something new," he said and I nodded.

"Listen, about yesterday-"we both said in unison. We both laughed and a small silence came in between of us. "You first," I said and he nodded. "Yesterday, I didn't get the chance to ask you. What do you prefer: a date at the restaurant or something new and fresh? I wanted to do something new and exciting but my band members advised me to do something normal" he said.

"A date? With whom?" I asked disappointedly. Ah, I see. He chose to ignore it and do as if nothing happened. In fact, he is even asking me what he should do with another girl he wants to go out with

"With you, you dummy. Who else"

"Me?" I asked shocked. "Don't tell me..." he said and his eyes widened. "You didn't get it, right?" he asked and sighed. "Get what?" I asked confused.

"I thought we were going out," he said straightforward.

"Who do you kiss?" he asked. "People you like?" I answered even though it sounded more like a question. "So that means?" he asked. "That means ... you ... me..."

"Soo Min, will you go out with me?"

Guys, IT'S JONGHYUN'S BIRTHDAY. I wanted to write a birthday chapter so much, but  it's currently February in my story and a birthday chapter wouldn't fit in the situation.  I don't know if it's still the 8th april from where you are reading, but it's from where I am writing.

Anyway, adding pictures is really an advantage for me, you don't need to discribe clothes anymore.
