An Au were everyone believes that Cale died a year after Jour died but actually he was taken from the Henituse territory by Choi Junggun who unknown to most gods had not died but became a god.

Choi Junggun may have considered Azrael(God of Death) but he didn't agree with most of his plans especially as God of Time, he knew what his friend planned and didn't like it one bit.

So he decided to mess with Azrael's plans and took Cale with him so he wouldn't have to suffer for a family that never realized his sacrifice and preferred to be hurt then ask for comfort.

Junggun raised Cale has his own while the TBOAH story progressed with a young man named Rok taking Cale's place on the narrative much sooner and being known as the child of Zed Crossman's late sister(Azrael made the deal with a dying Kim Rok Soo were he got to meet his hyungs again in the TBOAH world and then had him reincarnate as the missing nephew of Zed Crossman).

As Junggun watched Rok and the others travels, he decided to send Cale to meet Rok as he felt that the two would be able to help each other especially as Cale would be the guide for Rok to meet his reincarnated hyungs, Naru Von Ellejan(Choi Jungsoo) & Sui Khan(Lee Soohyuk).

Rok and Cale became close friends and Rok trusted the red haired but never asked him who he was and his backstory so he didn't know Cale was the late son of Deruth with his first wife until the war on the Henituse territory where Cale appeared to balance Rok's ancient powers(Cale is training to be the heir of God of Balance and has already some minor powers).

How everything else would go like people's reactions to Cale being alive, what ships will be there, etc is up to the writer(and yes, technically by what I wrote above, Rok met Naru and Shui Khan earlier then canon...maybe Junggun made them Cale's protectors or had Cale meet them as a kid?).
