Chapter 10

Olivia woke up one morning and got ready for the day.

"Morning Liv." Callie greeted.

"Good morning." Olivia returned the greeting. She changed into a blue plaid shirt, light jeans, and grey boots. She then braided her hair.

Once they finished getting dressed, Olivia and Callie headed downstairs.

"Morning girls." Stef greeted.

"Morning." Callie said. Olivia made herself a toasted bagel with cream cheese for breakfast.

"I have my first swim meet today after school." She typed.

"That's right." Lena said. "We'll be sure to be there."

Olivia finished her breakfast and put her dish in the sink.

"I'll see you guys at school." She typed, slinging her bag on her back. She went out to her bike and headed to school.

Erin and Adam met up with her.

"Hey Olivia Adam greeted her. Olivia waved to them.

"First swim meet today." Erin said.

"Are you nervous?" Olivia nodded, sheepishly.

"Don't be." Erin assured her. "You'll do great."

Olivia nodded. They headed to their first class together. The rest of the day went on like any other.

At the end of the day, Olivia made her way to the natatorium. She went into the girls locker room and got changed into her swim gear. She was feeling less nervous as she saw her family in the stands. Was it weird she was referring to them as her family. She hadn't been with the Adams Fosters for very long, but how else was she supposed to collectively refer to her foster parents, foster siblings, and biological siblings together?

"Ready?" Erin asked.

Olivia nodded. She was glad she wasn't one of the first people to go or one of the last to go. And she only had one event today.

After a couple people went, Olivia was up. She got into the starting position and dove into the water when the starting gun went off. Olivia pumped her arms as hard as she could, getting to the other side of the pool and going back. Olivia ended up in second compared to the other four swimmers. Which for her first meet, wasn't bad. Erin was one of the last people to go because she was one of the best swimmers on the team. When the meet ended, Erin came over to Olivia.

"You did great for your first meet." She said.

"Thanks." Olivia typed into her phone. Her family came over to her.

"That was awesome!" Mariana said. Callie and Jude hugged her.

"How about some ice cream to celebrate your first swim meet." Lena suggested.

"Can Erin and Adam join?" Olivia asked.

"Sure." Stef said. "The more the merrier."

"Let me let my brother know." Erin said.

Once Olivia changed out of her swim wear, they all went out for ice cream.
