4th Of July

Later in the afternoon, they had all got ready to go to a 4th of July thing that the town was having for everyone to go to.

Lenny had gotten a hay ride to take them there.

The kids plus June and Jackson were in the lake, "Okay, get into position." Greg told Andre

They had made a water catapult but blowing up an air matress, "I don't know, man. This thing looks crazy." Andre said wary

"It'll be fun. Come on, I spent all morning blowing that thing up." Greg told him climbing up the latter thing

"You should be alright." Donna told him as he crawled onto the air matress, "Should be?!"

Donna nodded, "Yeah." She smiled and climbed up with Greg

"Ready?" Greg called down to Andre. He nodded, "go!" Greg said and he and Donna jumped launching Andre in the air. He let out a scream, flailing his arms and legs. Before landing on this back in the water

"Oh, shit." June looked at the spot where he landed waiting for him to come back up. Andre came up and smiled, "Let's do that again!"

Later the group was eating when Dickie came over with his friends, "you really wanna do this, Bailey?" Lenny asked

"My five against your five." Dickie, "oh, boy, look at this. I see the boys stayed in shape, huh?" Lenny said

"Robideaux, good to see you." Lenny looked at him

"Lenny." Robideaux nodded "if you're looking at me, i don't know." Lenny joked. Robideaux laughed with them

"Look, fellas, we just wanna eat some watermelon and relax if you're alright with that." Lenny said

"Oh, no. It's not alright. You're not gonna weasel out of this one, Feder." Dickie told him, "Wiley snuck out of intensive care to see you finally get some justice."

"Yo! You best be getting to balling, Feder." Wiley called over to him. "hey, Wiley was the field goal good?" Lenny asked

"Yeah. First time I ever heard that one." Lenny laughed, "oh, uh, do you want me to get something off the top shelf? Heard that one alot too." Wiley said

"Okay, hold on, I'm confused," June out her food down on the plate, "you guys are mad because you suck at basketball and they don't?" June asked

Dickie glared at her, "Seriously, Dickie, let us just hang out with our families. We wanna relax." Lenny cut in before Dickie could say something back to her

"Yeah. They're afraid of us. That's what it is."

"We're afraid you might eat the ball before we even start the game." Marcus said

"Same old Higgins." Robideaux scoffed, "he can talk the talk but he can't...I forget the rest."

"Booyah!"

Lenny sighed, "We got Rob here with the bad foot. You can't do it, right, buddy?" Rob stood up "I think of the Buzzer was here, he'd want me to try. I think he's want us all to try."

"Was that William shatner?" lenny asked. Eric laughed, "alright, let's do this, then."

"It's on!" Wiley said and everyone cheered

The dads went and changed into matching outfits and the moms changed into cheer outfits.

The game quickly started and each team scored once.

"Hey, guys.  Motion '78." Rob said

Rob faked right and then passed the ball to Marcus on the left who caught it and circled the ball in the guys face before passing it the Eric who dribbled down the court and then passed it to Kurt.

The ball bounced off Kurt's head an Lenny caught the ball and shot it making the point.

"Hey, Y!" Marcus looked at Wiley, "where's M-C-A?" Everyone laughed. After a second Wiley laughed a little too.

After a while the men minus, Lenny and Dickie were tired and walked off the court.

"What do you say we, uh, bring my son and your son into this?" Lenny suggested

"Done." Dickie quickly agreed

"Greg." Lenny called him over

"Hey, Bailey." Dickie called his son over as well, "And, hey, somebody fill up that jug with some boss water, for the Hollywood kid."

"It's Voss, with a V." Greg corrected him

"Hey. Do you mind if I touch your belly?" Wiley looked at Deanne, "I love babies. I love to feel them kick."

"Yeah, go ahead." Deanne nodded "Thank you." Wiley said and bent over and rubbed her boob, "That's not my baby, that my boob." Deanne said

"Oh, I like to feel those too." Wiley smiled, "Hey." Eric said and stood up protectively, Wiley stood up and stumbled back from the body cast

The game continued. Lenny had hesitated before making the last shot before throwing the game for Dickie, letting him win.

Later that night, June and Jackson were cuddled up watching the fireworks.

"So, dad, did you really miss that shot? Or did you let them win?" Jackson asked.  Roxanne looked at him as well, "I just thought the Baileys needed to learn how to win every once in a while, and the feders needed to learn how to lose." Lenny said

"That was nice. I'm proud of you." Roxanne said and kissed him.

Marcus then ran over drunk, "Lenny. Hey, man. I know you're bummed about losing the game for us." Marcus said, his words slightly slurred

"And you're drunk?" Lenny laughed "No. yes." Marcus laughed "Hey, man, there's one thing they'll never beat us at."

"What that?" Lenny asked Marcus grabbed a bow and arrow, "Arrow roulette, baby."

"We are good at that." Lenny laughed

"Yeah. Alright everybody. Last one to stay in wins." Marcus said and pointed the arrow at the sky

Junes eyes widened. Marcus shot the arrow into the sky and Roxanne grabbed Becky and ran off.

"Dad!" June and Jackson grabbed their stuff and ran off along with everyone else except for Wiley who couldn't run.

"Serious, you're gonna leave me?" The arrow came down and landed in his foot "No!" He yelled "We win again." He said before passing out.
