Chapter 23

  I sighed knowing that deep down inside I knew it would happen, but hoped it wouldn't and I could just go shopping peacefully. I felt a hand grab my wrist in attempt to stop me and face him. I snatched my wrist back forcefully and huddled back so I was behind Niall again. I silently pleaded that I wouldn't see them again and could just enjoy the rest of my day, but it seems as though it just wasn't my day. I felt another hand grab ahold of my wrist forcefully spinning me around. I gasped in shock as his grip tightened when I met his eyes. They were a cold, dark brown that seemed to stare straight into my soul. An unnerving chill ran down my spine when he opened his mouth and spoke. "Don't just ignore me, sweet pea. I wanna talk to you." I rolled my eyes, clenching my teeth. "Let go." I stated firmly, yet calmly. He shook his head with a smirk gracing his stone cold features. "No can do, sweet pea." 

  "Let me go." I growled through my clenched teeth and attempted to pull my wrist back, but failed epically. Somewhere, down deep inside, I prayed that maybe Niall would come to my rescue like he has already done so many times in the past three days.

  He chuckled deeply without a hint of humor in it and started dragging me over to his table of friends. He sat down, keeping his hand around my small wrist firmly causing me to wince at the painful force.

  "Belle?" I heard a familiar voice shout out frantically. I looked around trying to catch a glimpse of him. I saw the oh so familiar green SnapBack jogging towards me with anger etching his features. I looked at him pleadingly before being yanked again to put my attention back on the group. It felt as though my shoulder would be pulled out of socket with anymore force.

  "What's your name, sweet pea?" I stayed silent, glaring around at the group and his grip continued to get tighter and tighter. "Belle." I squeaked out in pain. He smiled cockily and I turned around to see no sign of Niall. I frowned slightly before looking around the table at the group of men staring at me hungrily.

  "What are you doing with my girl?" I heard a deep growl from right behind me making me jump in surprise. My heart fluttered a little at him saying I'm his girl and I don't know why, when I would probably never even date a guy like him. He's not my type hardly at all. I met his eyes that were staring angrily at the boy who had ahold of my wrist. The man swallowed nervously and started loosening his hold ever so slightly, but not enough for me to snatch it back. 

  "Um. We d-didn't k-kn-know." He stuttered out, never meeting Niall's eyes. "Even if you did, it would never give you a reason to hurt a girl." He smacked his arm away from my wrist, pulling me behind his back. I rubbed my wrist, wincing in pain. Red fingertips were apparent around it and I knew that a bruise would most likely form later. "S-so-sorry." They all stuttered out, looking back and forth between Niall and I. "Now leave, before things get messy." Niall growled, taking a step forward to intimidate them. They all jumped up and ran to the exit not daring to look back. I giggled slightly at how frightened they were.

  "You okay?" I nodded with a grateful smile, looking deep into his icy blue orbs. "Shall we?" I nodded and walked directly beside him this time until we reached Forever 21.
