Chapter 22

  I flipped the radio on and started nodding my head to the beat of the song, steadily tapping my fingers against my knee. I softly hummed the lyrics, staring out the window as we drove to the closest store.

  Niall didn't think it was a good idea to bring me, but he also didn't want me going to my house for my things. While we're out I'll pick some things up for Megan and Olivia since they didn't want to come. I know them well enough to know what they would like.

  All of a sudden the music shut off. I furrowed my brow in confusion, turning toward Niall in frustration as I huffed.  "That was my jam, man!" He lightly laughed and smiled. "We're here, darlin'." I rolled my eyes taking a deep breath so I didn't completely blow up at him. "Will you please stop calling me that." I lowly growled. "Nope." He replied popping the 'p'. I sighed in defeat, opening my door and stepping out into the crisp air.

  A chill ran down my spine causing me to rub my arms in an attempt to warm up slightly. I made my way around the car and met up with Niall on the other side. Niall pulled his coat around him tighter and shivered, and we began walking the distance to the entrance. I saw a few guys sitting on the brick wall in front of the mall complex staring at me. I honestly don't know why I attract so many perverts. I know I'm not the prettiest girl and I just don't understand. It frustrates me beyond belief and I wish it would stop. I rolled my eyes, unfortunately used to it and kept walking to the entrance. 

  I have got to get some warmer clothes with fall rolling in. Stupid tank top. At least I didn't have shorts on. I looked back up in hopes that Niall would maybe give me his jacket or something like a gentlemen, but no I can't always get what I want. I sighed and started shivering as we got closer and closer to the door. Niall reached the door before me and I was about to step through until he let go of it causing it to almost hit me in the face. I sighed and opened it, the warmth instantly soothing my chilled bones. I don't know why I expect him to be a gentleman. I guess I'm just a cliche romantic, a hopeless romantic, looking for Prince Charming. I know that someday I'll find a guy, but sometimes I feel that I never will. I know that he will have bits and pieces of what I want and honestly think I deserve, but he probably won't be all of what I dream and hope for.

  "Where to first, darlin'?" Niall spoke up, snapping me from my stupid thoughts before I stuttered, looking around at the closest stores. "Oh. Uh. Um. Forever 21?" He nodded in understanding and started walking away from me. Not knowing exactly what I should do, I followed behind him, keeping a slight distance between us. I felt as though someone was staring at me, burning holes into my back. A chill ran down my spine with the thought and I turned around to see if anyone really was. The same group of guys that were outside, were now sitting at a nearby table in the cafeteria staring at me with smirks on their faces.

  We passed by them and I kept my head low trying to avoid any contact, but failing.
