Chapter 7
06:16, 13 December 2014~Canada POV~
I woke up at the dawn and got right up to hop into the shower. I washed my hair and body and stepped out of the shower grabbing a towel hanging on the rack. I dried my hair the best I could and noticed my curl that wouldn't go down with the rest of my hair. It just stuck out of place like usual. I wondered if Gil was awake yet. I hope he didn't mind that I called him Gil. Oh yeah that's right, he had a nightmare last night, I hope he slept alright after.
I made my way down the stairs quietly as to not wake Gil. I had the urge to make pancakes so I grabbed some pancake mix from the cupboard and turned on the stove.
I was flipping the pancakes when I heard some footsteps coming down the stairs. It was Gil. He was stretching and yawning as he walked into the kitchen. His white hair was messy, but it looked cute. What am I thinking?
"Morning Birdie! You making pancakes?" "Yep I am. I had the urge to. I hope you like pancakes." "Ja, anything you make is probably delicious." I blushed when he said that, but looked away to hide it. "Are you ready to get your memories back today?"I turned around startled. I guess I do want my memories back. According to what I heard Arthur say when he was talking to Gil, I only lost partial memories. I guess that makes sense since I remembered Arthur and not Gil. "Yeah. I want to remember things. Mostly about you because I don't remember anything about you." I felt bad I didn't know much about Gil. From what it seems it's that we're close friends.

"Wow Birdie those pancakes were awesome! Not as awesome as me, but still awesome!" I smiled at his complement and grabbed our plates to put in the sink.
"Oh scheiße! There's a world meeting today! How could I be such a dummkopf and forget that!" Gil was rushing around like a mad man while I just watched him in confusion. "What are you talking about?" I asked quietly. "What am I going to do? They're all going to ask questions. Unless, they don't even notice." Gil was pacing back and forth rubbing a hand through his hair. "Gil calm down. What are you even going on about?" He paused to look at me. "U-um. Well... I have a meeting to go to and um you cant come." He stuttered. I could tell he was nervous about something.
"That's fine Gil I can stay here. I'll just clean around the house." "Alright thanks Birdie! I'm gonna go upstairs to get dressed and then head out." I nodded to him as he ran up the stairs.
~Prussia POV~
Once I was dressed and ready I ran downstairs and out the door. No one will even notice that Canada is gone. Poor thing is never noticed anyways.
I was driving at full speed to get to the world meeting as soon as possible. Even though I'm not a country anymore, I'm still required to go to the world meetings. I technically represent east Germany so I have to be there to hear all the world problems that I couldn't care less about.
I arrived at the meeting in record time thanks to my speeding. Walking in I saw that some countries were already here. I saw bruder along with Italy. There was Spain and Romano chatting while Romano was as red as a tomato. Japan was talking with Greece who looked like he wanted to fall asleep. China was talking with America and England while France was flirting with Seychelles. Some countries weren't here yet so the meeting hadn't started.
England noticed me and walked over to my direction. "How's um... you know?" I can't believe this guy doesn't even remember Canada's name. "If you mean Matthew, then he's fine. Still no memory, but he's determined to get it back." "Well that's good. I doubt anyone will notice his absence today so no need to worry." I was kinda angry when he said that. Mein Birdie deserves to be noticed.
The room started to get filled as more countries arrived at the meeting. Germany did a head count of all the countries. I thought to myself on why he counted. He never counts how many countries are here unless he had something important to say and wanted to make sure everyone knew.
Clearly he's going to realize someone isn't here.
"Someone isn't here. I really don't want to call off names, but I have some important news everyone must know. I guess I'll have to call off all the country names." His eye twitched in anger. I knew bruder didn't want to do this. Especially since there were so many countries to read off. Now they'll notice Canada isn't here. What should I do? Maybe play it off as if he forgot to come.
"America?""The hero is here!""England?""Here.""France?""Oui. I'm here.""China""Ai-ya. I'm here.""Russia?""Kolkolkol." I shuttered at that."Italy?""Pastaaaa~""Romano?""Potato bastard I'm right here!""Japan?""Hai.""Prussia?""The awesome me is here!""Canada?"
There was silence. Everyone looked around. "Canada bro are you here?" America looked around for his brother. No one seemed to know where the quiet country was. "Well we found out who didn't show up. Maybe he forgot about the meeting." Spain suggested. "No Canada wouldn't forget about a meeting! He's usually here early! I should know I always see him here early. He usually sneaks up behind me." America said loudly.
I slowly began to back out of the room when I bumped into someone behind me. I spun around to see Russia staring at me. Russia was the only country I was afraid of. I mean who wouldn't be? He was totally unawesome.
While everyone was discussing why Canada wasn't here Russia dragged me out of the room. I have to admit I was pretty terrified. I wouldn't say it out loud though. Russia looked at me and I couldn't stop thinking of my dream I had the night before. "Where is my sunflower?" He voice had so much venom in it as he spoke. Each word poisoning me. "W-why do you care? Y-you hurt him. D-don't you dare come anywhere close to him." I tried to sound brave but honestly it just came out as stutters.
"Kolkolkol. I won't hurt my sunflower again. I just wanted him to forget you. He belongs with me and I will get him." This guy was crazy! "Canada is with me and I will protect him. I will get his memory back somehow!" I stormed back into the meeting room where everyone was still arguing as to why Canada wasn't here. America was insisting that something happened to him and that's why he wasn't here. England was trying to convince him otherwise while France was being consoled by Seychelles because he worried for his little french country.
I was getting sick and tired of all the arguing so I decided to do something I didn't expect I would.
I jumped on the table and slammed my foot down on it hard causing everyone to jump at the sound. "EVERYONE SHUT UP!" I sounding just like Germany does when he is angry, mein gott. "Canada is at his house. No one needs to worry." "And how do you know that bruder?" Germany looked at me with questioning eyes. "I know this because I was the one who told him he couldn't come to the meeting." I heard various gasps when I said that. "Now listen I know it's hard to understand, but Canada lost partial memory." I looked over at Russia who gave me a death look that said don't you dare rat me out. I continued. "He hit his head and passed out. He's ok, but he doesn't remember that he's a country. He only remembers a few select people. One being England." I looked over at England with a pleading look asking for his assistance. "Well yes, Prussia speaks the truth. Canada did lose partial memory. He doesn't remember that I'm a country though. But he did remember my human name. My theory is that he only remembers the countries that he knows the human names of. So me, France, and America."
Everyone began muttering amongst themselves before I spoke up again.
"Ok no one needs to worry. I will get his memories back. I just need to find something to trigger them." "Maybe I can help you Prussia. I am his Papa after all." France suggested. I nodded to him. Maybe France could help. He knows about Canada's past so maybe he can think of something to trigger memories.
Everyone agrees that maybe France could help trigger some memories. America whined that he was the hero and how he wanted to save Canada.
I sighed as the meeting was over and everyone filed out of the room. The only ones that were left in the room were me and France. "You can come over now to see if Canada remembers you if you want." "Oui, I will. No promises that I can get his memories. But I do have the longest history with him. Honhonhon."
We both got in our separate cars and drove towards Canada's house. Now time to see if I can help get mein Birdie's memories back. ___________________________
