A New Dawn

As the two sat on the bench, surrounded by the tranquility of the green grass and the soft rustling of leaves, a comfortable silence settled between them. Alana glanced at Giselle, a smile tugging at the corners of her lips.

Alana: "Do you remember how we first met?"

Giselle chuckled softly, her eyes sparkling with the memory. "Of course, I do. It was through our friends—quite the unexpected meeting, wasn't it?"

Alana nodded, her mind drifting back to that day.

{FLASHBACK}

Mrs. Dela Peña: "So, are you excited for your first day at Benison?"

Giselle: "Not really. I'm feeling a bit anxious about starting at a new school."

Gigi:"You'll be fine, Giselle. Just give it time."

Mr. Dela Peña: "It's a big change, but it's a chance to make a fresh start. Remember, stay focused and make a good impression."

Giselle: "I'll try my best."

Gigi: "We'll get used to it together. Let's make the most of this opportunity."

As the first day of the semester unfolded, the classroom was filled with the usual buzz of students catching up and settling in. Giselle, a newcomer to the school, looked around with a mixture of curiosity and anticipation. She spotted Cali and Julianna and made her way over to them.

Cali greeted her warmly, "Hey, Giselle! Over here."

Giselle walked over and took a seat next to her childhood friend. Julianna, who was also part of Giselle's family, joined the conversation. "Hi, Giselle! It's good to see you. How's your first day going?"

Giselle, still acclimating to her new surroundings, replied, "It's a bit overwhelming, but I'm starting to get used to it. How about you?"

Julianna responded, "It's been busy, but I'm sure things will settle down."

Cali added, "Don't worry too much. We're here to help you out. It feels like old times, doesn't it?"

Giselle nodded, appreciating the familiar faces amidst the new environment.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the classroom, Alana, Mabel, Sage, and Scarlett were discussing the new student.

Mabel remarked, "So, we have a new student today. Her name's Giselle. Cali mentioned her earlier."

Scarlett asked, "What's she like?"

Mabel explained, "She's a bit reserved but plays volleyball. I think she'll fit in well once she gets to know everyone."

Sage added, "Sounds like she could use a friendly introduction. I'll make sure to say hi later."

Alana agreed, "It's always good to be welcoming to new students."

At that moment, Ms. Santos, the teacher, entered the classroom. The students quieted down as she began.

Ms. Santos addressed the class, "Good morning, everyone. I'm Ms. Santos, your teacher for this semester. Today, we'll start with introductions. Please stand up and tell us a bit about yourself."

The students began to introduce themselves one by one.

Mabel was the first to stand, "Hi, I'm Mabel Yvette Razon, the student council president. I enjoy organizing events and am excited for this year."

Scarlett followed, "I'm Scarlett Madelyn Sayson. I'm into dancing and love having fun."

Sage introduced herself next, "Hey, I'm Sage Athena Sayson. I'm Scarlett's twin sister and I have a love for pink."

Alana stood up and said, "Hi, I'm Alana Sienna Custodio. I'm passionate about medicine and looking forward to getting to know everyone."

Cali then introduced herself, "Hi, I'm Cali, also known as Calista Jade Vasquez. I'm a volleyball player and excited about this school year."

Julianna added, "I'm Julianna Cane Rodriguez. I enjoy arts and crafts. Nice to meet everyone!"

Giselle was the last to introduce herself, "Hi, I'm Giselle Faye Dela Peña. I just moved here from Los Angeles. I play volleyball and am eager to get to know everyone."

Ms. Santos concluded, "Thank you all. It's wonderful to meet you. Let's have a great semester together!"

Benison Institute of Education University - Courtyard

After class, the courtyard was bustling with students enjoying their break. Giselle, Cali, and Julianna met up with Hayami and Gigi. They were catching up and sharing experiences from their first day.

Gigi asked Giselle, "How was your first class?"

Giselle replied, "It was good, just a bit overwhelming. I'm sure I'll get used to it."

Hayami reassured her, "It's always hectic at first. You'll find your rhythm soon."

Mabel, Alana, Sage, and Scarlett approached the group. Mabel, taking the lead, greeted them.

Mabel said, "Hi, Cali! Julianna! Is this Giselle?"

Cali introduced Giselle, "Yes, this is Giselle. Giselle, meet Mabel, Alana, Sage, and Scarlett."

Mabel asked, "Hi, Giselle! We were just talking about you. Mind if we join you?"

Giselle welcomed them, "Not at all. Please, join us."

Alana sat down next to Giselle, "Hey, Giselle. How's your day been so far?"

Giselle responded, "It's been good. Thanks for the warm welcome."

Alana offered, "If you need anything or just want to hang out, let me know."

Scarlett added, "We're all here to help."

Sage said, "And we can always use another friend."

Giselle smiled and said, "I appreciate that. I'm sure I'll enjoy being here."

Mabel concluded, "Great! Let's all get to know each other better."

The group continued chatting and sharing stories, making Giselle feel more at home and easing her transition into her new school environment.
