2- Crazy Town

Kyeom pov.

"Do you ever believe that there are people that can cross universe?" I asked as I continued to write in my paper. This idea has been running in and out of my mind for the past 2 hours as we were working on our paper.

"Like aliens?" Hoshi asked nonchalantly.

"Are you guys still on about that? Just be happy he's talking to you like buddies now. Unlike last time where you just try to catch his attention all the freaking time. Honestly it was pretty embarrassing and cringy" Jeonghan said as he rolled his eyes at me. Understandably because I have been talking about this for the past hour or so.

"You guys should just shut up before the teacher gets angry." Wonu warned us and we did. I decided to just let it go for a while and let the group work swallow my mind.

few minutes later....

"Hey! Kyeomie can I join your group?" A very familiar sexy voice said behind my back.

"Uhmmm... no thanks were fine." I said without thinking and everyone looked at me and I even heard one girl gasped behind me. Over dramatic much?

"Dude..." Hoshi said while shaking his head In disbelief.

"Oh... I see.. next time then." He said as he asked another group of people to work with him and I just sat there knowing full well my friends and classmates are judging what just happened.

"What the hell was that?!?! Are you crazy?" Asked Cheol.

"I don't wanna work with an imposter!" I told them and they all collectively rolled their eyes at me.

"I'm all up in your theory or whatever but you're forgetting one fact and the fact is that we are missing one member." Cheol said to me and I looked at him apologetically. I mean this is so freaking new.

"How about Mingi? He looks like a lost puppy" Asked Wonu.

"Better than no one right?" I suggested because I was the one that rejected Joshua. Wait! What A damn minute. I did just reject him right?!? I am really out of my mind here!

"What's wrong with him?" Asked Mingi as Wonu invited him over and saw my confused face.

"He's having an identity crisis... but then again it seemed more like a crush crisis." Jeonghan said adding sarcasm in the tone.

"Should I ask him?" I saw Mingi whispering to Wonu.

"You're probably safer not knowing." He replied to him.

"Hey! Mingi! Don't you think your friend there is strange? I mean stranger than usual?" I asked him. He just looked at me like I was the one being crazy.

"Aside from him disappearing on us the last fews days. Nothing more. He probably just had a new haircut." He said and I just rolled my eyes at him. Of course I would know if he had a haircut and he didn't. I'm sure. I would sooner believe that he had a brain transplant than he was normal.

"Everyone time is up please discuss with your group what other ideas you can gather and see you on the next meeting." Mr. Hao said. The project was about the history of tea. I mean it's pretty on brand because he likes tea so much.

Before we could all go. Mr. Hao said something.

"Oh and before you all go. Your class president here still has no group. And all of you have complete members already so he can just pick where he wants to go. Welcome him well guys" Mr. Hao said and then went out.

"That's great! Josh come with us." Mingi suddenly said before I could say anything. Joshua went towards us and smiled a little until he looked at my expression.

"Is it really alright? Kyeom seems not to want me here." He said and everyone looked at me.

"He does. He really does. He's just being cranky because he's hungry." Hoshi said before holding on to my mouth to stop me from complaining otherwise.

"Really? Great. I look forward to working with you guys." He said as he smiled.

While I was left there torn between my members wanting him to be with us and me thinking this all seems like a big prank.

"Kyeom?" Asked Joshua suddenly. This caught my attention and looked at him.

"U-uhm yes?" I almost stuttered.

"Can you please write my name there." He said as he pointed at the paper I was holding where we encode the names of the members as instructed by Mr. Hao.

"Oh right. Just a second." I said as I wrote his name. If this is how casual we were gonna be, I will really be having a hard time. Because to me he was someone I strive to be with but he keeps on making this all easy.  It's like he wants to be friends or something.

"And Kyeom, wait." He said as he walked towards me. In response to that I walked back a step.

"You have something in your hair." He said as he reached out to my head and grabbed a small leaf which was probably there from the start of the class. I was never this close to him where he initiated and my eyes were wide open.

Then all of a sudden he blows on my head and I was in shock! What the hell! Are you trying to give me a heart attack with that face card of yours?!??

"I got it thanks!" I said as I accidentally pushed him a little too hard. I mean he was nearer than I expected. He stepped back and collided with Mingi.

"Oh sorry." I said and he just smiled.

"It's fine sorry, I didn't know you were not a touchy person." He said as he smiled again. Why is he always smiling at me?! I don't feel good. This is bad for my heart. Now this feels like a new person.

"Dude you gotta be chill. It's embarrassing." Jeonghan whispered and I elbowed him to shut him up and he just chuckled with Cheol beside me. Great they enjoy how I am handling all this.

I was embarrassed as well so I grabbed Hoshi and told them we were getting lunch. He was confused at first because he was talking to Mingi about something but he just made me drag him no questions. 

Lunchtime rolled around and I was finally free. My schedule is wide open and I wanted to go home and just rest my head after thinking about Joshua the whole day.

Hoshi offered to give me a ride since he wanted to go to my house to chill. He has all afternoon free as well and he wanted to see my mom. A short cut to him wanting to eat in my house, he really likes my mom's cooking. As Hoshi was driving I looked outside the window. Can this all be a dream?

I miss my stoic perfect husband. Am I crazy? I liked it better when he didn't talk to me.

"Yes you're crazy" Hoshi suddenly said.

"Wait am I thinking out loud again?" I asked him confused on how he knew what I was thinking.

"Dude we've been together since babies and that face screams the 'Am I crazy' look." He said and I pouted.

"Seriously this is crazy. Did you see what he did earlier?!?" I complained to him.

"Yup. And before you complain and rant about it. It's perfectly normal for people to help out another person like he did with you. Don't overhink it. You're being crazy. There I said it". He said and I frowned at him.

"He blew on my face!" I shouted.

"So!'???" He asked in Confusion.

"Does this mean he likes me?" I asked myself. And Hoshi just burst out laughing.

"How the hell did you come up with that conclusion. Your mind never misses to amaze me. Entertaining as hell". He jokes  and laughs at the same time and I glared at him.

"But he never even glanced my way. Now he even offered to be in our group." I reasoned out.

"He just had a change of heart and Mingi was the one that called him earlier after you rejected him so just suck it up." He said and I crossed my arms and pouted.

"Wait is that who I think it is?" I asked as I saw a car smoking in the middle of the road.

"Wow it's true about what people say. You talk about one person constantly and they appear right away." Hoshi said as he continued to drive his car.

"Why aren't you stopping?!?!" I asked.

"You told me you feel awkward around him. I was just gonna get some professional help." Hoshi reasoned out.

"Dude his car is broken! You don't wanna help?" I asked in a pretty are you kidding me voice. I was hesitant at first but then I saw his face! Damn he can be cute and pitiful at the same time. He hasn't realized we stopped for him yet and he was just focused on his car. Hoshi parked the car at the back and walked out right away saying his greetings to Joshua.

I stayed in the car and looked at both of them. Joshua saw Hoshi and smiled at him erasing the sad look on his face. Eventually I walked out as well.

"Hey! What happened?" Asked Hoshi as we both headed to Joshua's direction.

"I don't know this doesn't normally happen. I always check my car before and after I drive but then it broke while I was in the middle of the road." He said and I believed him. In my botes about him (yes I have notes) he always takes care of his own belongings. Only time he had a car problem was when his friend borrowed his car.

"I see.. something's wrong with the wirings in here. I'm not a mechanic but this looks wrong." Hoshi said as Joshua was explaining. Joshua also looked at his car and nodded agreeing with Hoshi then he looked at me.

"Oh sorry to trouble you guys and you Kyeom. You seem to be in a hurry?" Joshua said to me and I got shy. I didn't mean to give off that vibe. I was just still in my doubtful era.

"Oh no no. It's no problem at all. Hoshi wanted to help." I said in panic.

"And Kyeom's worried about you too." Hoshi joked and I almost remove my shoe and throw it at him.

"He's kidding!" I tried to reason. Why am I friend with him if he keeps on pushing me off the cliff.

"Oh.. it's actually touching thanks Kyeom." He said with a freaking perfect mother fudging smile. I wanna die kill me now. He seems different but he looks and sound just like me husband! I can't do this. My heart can't handle this! I just stood there frozen.

"Kyeom?" He asked but I was busy trying to contain my fluttering heart.

"Alright then.. you broke your car and my friend already let's go get some help." Hoshi said which brought me back to earth.

"Right he's right. I'll go ask my brother." I said because fortunately he's an expert in cars. Actually I was just trying to stall and run away from Joshua. My heart was in a very difficult situation.

"Hello? Chan?? Great. You're free." I said as my brother answered the phone.

"I'm not free! I'm super busy." He said and I rolled my eyes even if he can't see me.

"Yeah right. I called you and not even 2 rings you answer. That's a free man right there." I said and I could hear him curse in the other line.

"Alright alright what is it?!?" He said with an annoyed voice.

"We have some car problems. Need you here asap. I'll send you our location." I said and automatically hang up the phone so that he can't argue anymore. I know I'm using my eldest card but he's my younger brother, he needs to be my slave. Just kidding but yeah basically.

"You called chan?" Asked Hoshi.

"Yup. He's just lying around the house dancing to kpop songs anyways." I said and Joshua and Hoshi laughed.

We waited for him and as soon as he arrived, he looked at me then looked at Joshua.

"Wait! Isn't this your long time husband—" before he could finish, I smacked his head to stop him from talking too much. He almost fell to the ground and I glared at him.

Hoshi laughed at him but Joshua helped him up. I mean, who wouldn't fall for someone like that?!??

"Is this your brother? He's cute." Joshua said and I cried inside. He called Chan cute! He never called me cute! How is this life fair! They just met!!!

Afterr a few minutes of my brother examining his car he shook his head.

"Yeah this car is done. You need a new one". He said and all of us were speechless. That's it??? Is he trying to embarrass me???? I even called him expert in this!

"Really?" Asked Joshua.

"Yup. I think this model is quite old and see this?? The meter is already at its end. How long have you had this car anyway! It may look new but it's old as-fu—-" then this time it was Hoshi that smacked his head. Did my brother just throw away the filter of his mouth?!?! Seriously he's too much.

"Sorry about him. He's young nag he talks a little too much" Hoshi apologized in behalf of my idiot brother.

"No no, he's right. I have this care since I was in highschool and it's also second hand from my.. from my mom." He said but there was a little sadness in his voice. Wait now that I think about it, he has no record in my notes about his mom or mom-side.

"Don't worry we can drop you off at your house." Hoshi offered.

"No!" He suddenly burst out. It left all of us shook.

"Dude relax you don't need to shout—" and I smacked my brother once again. He doesn't even read the room or in this case the road.

"I mean.. I don't wanna go home right now." He clarifies.

"Ohhh.. uhmmm alright then wanna hang with us?" Hoshi suddenly said and this time I was the one stunned.

"What?" He asked.

"Yeah! What?" I asked in panic too.

"He said he didn't wanna go home. And you and I are free and we'll be chilling in your house. So it's fine to invite a friend. I mean we are friends right?" He asked and Joshua nodded.

Then I pulled Hoshi away from the group and pulled him aside .

"Dud you're forgetting that you're inviting him into my house. MY HOUSE." I said in a whisper.

"No big deal. It's just a little hang out session what's wrong with that?" He asked and I face palmed myself .

"Dude my room is full of his face!" I half shouted.

"Oh right hey... let's just hang out at the living room." He said and I just wanted to cry at this point.

30 minutes later......

"Here we are!!! Let's go inside." Hoshi said. Sometimes I just wanna smack this guy right here.

"Mom's inside by the way." Chan saif casually as he walked inside the house. Then all of a sudden he grabbed my arm as I was leading them inside.

"Wait.. I don't have a gift for your mom." He said but my head was just focused on his hands touching mine right now. 

"Don't worry Auntie is cool! She's gonna make us some food." Hoshi said and went inside right away. I expertly grabbed my hand back and walked towards the door even more faster.

I'm never washing this hands ever again.

"Mom! We're here. I brought uhmm a friend". I said and she looked at the three of us.

"Hi auntieee!!! Pound it!" Hoshi said as he gave my mom a fist bump. Seriously it's like their just the same age.

"Hoshi glad you're here. I made some pizza. Oh? Is this a new friend?" She said as she noticed Joshua.

"Good evening ma'am my name's Joshua." He said as he extended his arms for a handshake.

"Ohh.. ma'am? call me auntie instead!" She said and I just smiled.

"Auntie your house is amazing." He complimented her.

"I like this guy. And he's handsome too. Kyeomie bring him here often" my mom said with a wink. As expected from my mother. This is what happens when he keeps on watching BLs at home! He knows who Joshua is and she's scheming I just know it. I'm pretty much open to my mother so she knows I like Joshua. Plus she already saw my room, I'm an open book to her.

"Mom stop it." I said and Joshua giggled. Oh he enjoys this?

"Alright alright let me whip up some snacks for you guys. Just watch some tv or something." She said and we did. I told them to wait in the couch as I fixed my things upstairs.

As I started to fix my room, I noticed the door opening. I looked at the direction but there was no person in there. I didn't mind it too much and thought that I was hearing things.

Then I stood up and walked towards the door. Before I could close the door entirely I saw Joshua standing in front of me.

"Uhm... is that me?" He asked and I was beyond terrified! He just saw my freaking room! He just looked at me and I was not moving. I froze and closed the door behind me in response. Why did I have a freaking portrait of him my freaking room?!!!! I am beyond embarrassed.

"Dude— that's not the bathroom— oh sorry Kyeom" Hoshi said when he saw Joshua and my face. Then without waiting for my response he ran away probably going to my mom.

"Joshua.. let me explain." I said trying to think of a better explanation than I'm obsessed with him. He just stayed silent as if he was thinking about something really important.

But before I could ramble on a freaking excuse he said something that shook me.

"No. It's fine. This is perfect." He suddenly said. I looked at him in confusion then he walked 1 step towards me closing the space between us and making me bump my back into the closed door.

"Uh—'m Josh.. Joshua what are you doing?" I asked still trying my best to be strong in the knees. I mean his face is inches away from me. Then he lowered his head and I closed my eyes imagining all the things that will happen and the fact that I was not ready for all of this. My face was hot and I feel cold at the same time. Is this what a stroke feels like?

Then when I felt like his face was close I moved my face to the side. Just then he whispered something to me.

"I'm so glad that I approached you first." He then said. I was confused and lost what the hell? What does he freaking mean?!?
