Chapter 1

Hi, my name is Kaylee. I've moved to London with my mum. You see her and my dad split up so we moved for a better life. We now live in London and I've moved schools. It's a bit shit moving in year 11 but it is what it is.

I have to go to school today which is shit because I just wanted to chill at home. It was also the middle of a term so it is going to be quite awkward because everyone already knows each other.

I got dressed into my school uniform and did my hair. I just straightened it a bit. I have long brown hair and it usually is straight it just gets a mess. I put on a bit of mascara and some lip gloss and went downstairs.

Me: Hiya mum, I'm ready for school

Mum: Alright, I'll drive you. I got a email saying you need to go to the principals office when the bell goes okay honey.

Me: Ok mum.

We get in the car and she drives me to the school. She parks up and the school was actually really big. I get out and walk into the school. There was a lot of people looking at me probably because I am new. I go to the front desk and ask where the head teachers office is. She points me to a room and I go over there.

I knock on the door and I hear a "Enter". I open it and see the head teacher sat by his desk.

Mr Carter: Hello you must be Kaylee. Take a seat, I'm Mr Carter. I shook his hand and took a seat.

Mr Carter: Right Kaylee, we have your records from your other school. You've gotten into a bit of trouble but not that much which is good. However it says here that you got excluded for a day. Can you tell me why?

Me: Self harming on the premises. They sent me home and told me to get help. It was just the people I was hanging around with.

Mr Carter: Right ok. We have someone coming down now actually to just guide you through the school so you don't get lost.

Me: Thank you.

I sat there in silence until I heard a knock on the door and it open. A guy walked in, he was pretty good looking.

Guy: Hey Sir, Miss sent new down to see you.

Mr Carter: Yes, Hello Tobi. This is Kaylee, can I ask you to show her around the school and be with her for the first week.

Tobi: Yes of course.

I stand up, thank the head teacher and walk out.

Me: Usually it's the girls looking after the girls.

Tobi: I guess our school does it differently. Anyways where'd you come from?

Me: Sheffield. My mum and dad split up so she wanted to move.

Tobi: Why didn't you stay with your dad?

Me: What are you trying to say?

Tobi: Well moving schools half way through year 11 must be annoying.

Me: Yeh I guess you're right. Anyways are you going to show me around or what.

I'm a very sarcastic person at times. Most people don't know if I'm being sarcastic at times or not. This guy seemed pretty cool. He shows me around all the different parts of the school and end up on the football pitch.

Me: Fancy a game?

Tobi: Alright, you can start.

I get the football and put it in front of the goal while Tobi stands in it. I take a run up and shoot for the top left corner. Tobi misses it and I laugh.

Me: You're terrible at this.

Tobi: Alright then, you get in the goal.

I get into the goal and Tobi runs up to the ball. He aims for the bottom left corner and I save it with my foot.

Me: Ha, beat that.

I laugh and then the bell rings.

Tobi: Come on we've got religious studies.

We walk to the actual school building and walk through the crowded hallways. We get to the class room and walk in. Everyone was already in there so they all stared at me. Tobi goes to sit down next to two other people. The tables were set out in 4's.

Guy 1: Hey Tobi who's your new girl? 

A guy behind us asks so I turn around to look at him.

Tobi: Guys this is Kaylee. She's new and recently moved from Sheffield. Kaylee this is Simon, Josh, JJ, Ethan, Vik and Harry.

Me: Hiya guys.

I smiled and they all looked at me like I wasn't on the Earth.

Teacher: Guys stop talking. Oh wait there's a new girl. Would you like to come up and introduce yourself? 

I get up and walk to the front of the class. I begin telling everyone my name and catch eyes with a guy. Simon I think his name was. I smile at him and carry on telling my story. I go and sit back down and then the teacher starts the lesson.

Me: Why do we have to sit through this?

I whisper to Tobi. He just gasps at me how I said that. I don't know why though. The lesson was on the first murder with Adam and Eve.

Teacher: Does anyone know the names of Adam and Eve's sons who were in the first murder.

Me: Cain and Abel. They both made a sacrifice to God but he took Abels offer so Cain murdered him and now he's somewhere wandering the Earth.

I shout out. It's annoying how these kids don't know nothing. Everyone then stares at me to I lie back in my chair.

Teacher: Are you a Christian?

Me: Yeh I am actually.

I say. The teacher carries on Teaching.

Tobi: I never knew you are a Christian.

Me: Well it was my decision. I needed help in life so I reached out to God.

He tells me his story about how he's a Christian. After he does and a bit of learning, the bell goes off. It was break time so I follow Tobi and his group of friends since I knew no one else.

Vik: So where about in Sheffield are you from?

Me: Im from Heeley, why?

Vik: Was just wondering. I used to live in Sheffield you see. Wait actually coming to think about it ain't you that girl the hooked up with a 17 year old when you were in year 7?

Oh fuck. My identity has been stolen. I thought everyone forgot about that. He didn't even go to my school so how does he know. I just face palm my head and the rest of the boys look at me.

Me: Yes that was me.

JJ: Pahaha nice one.

He gives my a fist bump. These guys seemed pretty cool.

Simon: Hey we're all going down to the pitch after school to play some football. You can come if you want.

Me: Yeh that sounds cool.

The bell rings and we go to the next lesson...
