16 - new roommate
13:14, 29 January 2022The last few weeks went by in a flash. Jieun came to Mark's apartment almost every day. Making sure that Finn is well fed and being taken care of.
Mark, who opposed the idea of having Finn around, started to warm up to him. What can I say? no one can deny the cuteness of a cat. Every now and then if he's free he'd join Jieun and have a mini playtime with him.
Mark finds it cute when Finn kneads on his pillows, or whenever he brushes his body against his legs, wanting his attention.
But whenever Jieun is around, all Finn's attention would be on her. Mark didn't know who he should be jealous of, wanting Jieun's attention or Finn's.
Finn is a real charmer, he knows how to get your attention and he loves doing it.
"god it really likes you" Mark said as he looked over to the two.
Jieun was laying on his bed, while Mark was on his desk doing his assignments. Jieun had Finn on the top of her chest, her fingers traced around and caressing the tom's face.
"of course, I'm his mom" Jieun smiled as she looked at the cat, those big glass eyes that she adores and could never get tired of.
As a sign of love and affection, cats likes to knead. Finn, who was on top of her, started to knead on Jieun's chest. Jieun started to feel the tickles and started to laugh along at how adorable Finn was.
"Look its baking biscuits on me!" Jieun chuckle as she continues to watch the cat bake and knead on her chest.
Mark quickly brought his attention to the two after hearing her chuckle. The male observed the girl's boobs moving round and round in the cat's motion. Her mounds were squashed and kneaded, like a soft stress ball.
Mark swallowed down his dry throat, the sight of her mounds being kneaded and played around turned him on, but he quickly brushed it off by joking,
"look at him, always stealing my place" Mark said, unsure if he should be jealous of the cat, getting to knead Jieun's chest.
"Oh my god, are you jealous?" She teased, eyes still on the cat.
Mark rolled his eyes in denial, but Jieun knew very well.
"Oh come on, you get to have me every other time" Jieun said still giggling at the cuteness of the cat, too busy to even notice that Mark was blushing at her comment.
The two had spent a lot of time together lately, and now with Finn being around, Jieun had even more of the reason why she was visiting Mark so constantly.
She was starting to think about whether or not she wanted to move in. Some parts of her think that it would be too much of a hassle and Mark would probably say no, thinking that it would be weird.
But some part of her is worried that no one could take care of Finn. Heck, who will take care of Mark? that boy can't even cook his own lunch, let alone have a cat with him.
Still drowning in her thoughts, Jieun decided it was best to let things go with the flow.
As long as there's a vacant in his apartment, she can always come over, right?
-
"That'll be $23.50, miss" The cashier said and Jieun politely handed him her card for the payment.
She watched as the cashier placed all the cat food and toys into the bag, before taking it and bidding the cashier goodbye.
Jieun stepped out of the pet store and decided to give Mark a dial,
"Hello~~" She chimed cutely as he picked up the phone, "what's up?" Mark asked.
"you free this Saturday?" Jieun asked through the phone. "Probably gonna stay at home, I have some work to do, why?" Mark replied.
"Perfect, I was thinking of coming over since I bought some new toys and a few treats for Finn. I wanna teach him some new tricks!" Jieun said getting excited from just the thought of seeing the two of her favourite boys.
"Why did you even bother calling, when you usually just show up when you want to?" He joked through the call and Jieun can hear him chuckle.
"My apartment welcomes you anytime Eun, you're like the most visited guest" He continued, "You can literally walk around my apartment blindfolded and still make your way out" He chuckled a little.
"it's as if you live here now" he said and his laughter went bigger and louder through the phone.
"Are you hinting something, Mr Lee?" Jieun raised a brow, her voice toying and playing with him.
"Maybe I am, Ms Park" He sneered through the call, Jieun could almost see his smirk that he always had on with this tone.
"I mean it's not really convenient for you to keep coming on and off just for Finn, plus I have a free room, which" he paused and continued, "I don't think my brother is coming home so soon"
"and," He emphasised, "it would be really nice to have some company around you know... someone to look over me when I'm not in my best state..." He trailed off waiting for her answer.
"Well, If you insist Mr Lee, we can talk about it this coming Saturday when I come over to see Finn" Jieun smiled,
"Just Finn? Isn't there someone else on your mind?" He mocked. "Maybe, maybe not" She chuckled teasing him, she can hear his laughter on the other side.
"Anyways bye see you!" She said and hung up.
-
Saturday afternoon, the streets were so busy and people were everywhere.
Jieun was dressed in her best clothes, wanting to show off the new coat that she had brought. Even though the streets were jam-packed, Jieun made it on time to Mark's apartment.
Excited that she could be finally moving in and setting down the deal with him.
Throughout the last few months, just like Jieun, Haechan on the other had been visiting Seolla every now and then. Coming over to have their so-called movie nights, but we all know that's not what really goes down.
Haechan came so often to the point he has started to build a small fort in her's and Seol's apartment. His clothes would end up in their laundry, his coffee mug that he uses every morning and even his shaver was there.
She can't complain much though since the two were a couple and eventually if things work out the two had planned on renting a new apartment near campus, so the two can be more 'connected' or whatever that means.
The news obviously broke Jieun knowing that she would be left all alone, but she had no choice but to congratulate the couple on their new lease. After all, she was tired of constantly being the third wheel.
She would have moved in with Jay and Jake easily but knowing well that they live with other boys from the soccer team, she turn down the idea immediately. Not wanting to be the only girl in that apartment of theirs.
Which is why when Mark throw the hint of wanting her to move in with him, she was over the moon.
It didn't matter if they were dating or not, they were friends and all she needed was company. Mark was a good friend let alone a good friend to be fuck in bed.
Jieun nervously rang the doorbell. For the first time, instead of just barging into Mark's like she usually does.
Excited to see Mark and the good news, she made sure her hair was nicely done and she was in the best fit. If things goes well she might score a few moments of sexy time with him. But then again she had made plans to teach Finn some tricks.
The door swung open and to her dismay, it wasn't Mark.
There in front stood a beautiful girl around their age with brunette hair. Her eyes were large and round. Her figure was small and doll-like. She was the definition of cute.
Jieun froze at her spot. Mark didn't say that he was having any guests. Let alone such a beautiful lady in his apartment.
"Hi, how may I help you?" The girl smiled,
There's no way, was she at the wrong address? Her feet that was so used to the usual path that she took to his apartment, there's no way she's at the wrong house right?
"Oh you're here" a sigh of relief came once she heard Mark's voice at the back, seeing his face as he came towards the door, joining the two of them.
Jieun greeted the girl awkwardly before walking into the apartment.
Luggage, Bags and more bags.
Was the first thing she had noticed once she entered.
Finn came and greeted her too. He trailed his body around her calf, showing his love.
"Where are my manners, I forgot to introduce you guys!" Mark let out a chuckle, "Jieun this is Byeol, my childhood best friend!" Mark smiled at her.
"and Byeol this is Jieun, she's a friend of mine, we go to the same uni" He said.
Byeol of course, his ex, how can she forget? The ex who went overseas for her studies. Not to mention his childhood best friend.
Even afterall they've been through, all she remains is a friend who goes to the same uni as him. Ouch Mark, ouch.
The two exchange a hand shake and had a small little chit chat to introduce themselves. It was probably the most awkward chat Jieun has ever had. She was careful with her words not wanting to give off a bad impression.
"so what brings you to Seoul? I heard from Mark that you're studying in Canada" Jieun spoke nervously, obviously uncomfortable with the sudden visitor.
"Oh! so Mark told you about me?" She grinned as she looked over to Mark. Mark blushed shyly and looked away.
"of course, he did! you are his childhood friend afterall" Jieun gave a small smile, emphasizing the word childhood friend.
"Well, I'm returning to Seoul for my housemenship, and the first and only I could think of was Mark, so I got his address from his brother... wanting to give him a surprise you know..." She chuckled as she looked over to Mark and Mark did the same.
"Wow! so you're a doctor?" Jieun exclaimed, forcing a smile, trying her best to be happy for her.
"not quite yet, but you could say that I'm on the way" She smiled humbly, her eyes forming beautiful crescent moons.
She's beautiful.
"that's amazing!" Jieun gasped, "yeah I know right she's amazing" Mark smiled along.
Jieun felt her stomach drop. You can't deny the look on his face. He still likes her. and it pained Jieun seeing that sight.
"oh come on, don't act like you're not gonna be an engineer in the future yourself!"
Mark shyly charmed back at her reply.
"so, judging by the bags and lugguages, you're moving in?" Jieun asked.
"Yup! Mark had a free room, which his brother never really use anymore and this place is close to the hospital that I'm gonna be working at, so I figured why not?" She smiled.
Jieun was simply in awe of that. It was as if at that point for the first time, her extroverted ass didn't know what to say.
All she did was watched as the two catch up and talk about their lives.
She had nowhere to fit in, nowhere to join in that conversation of theirs. She didn't belong here, and she needed to leave, right now.
She felt out of place, her body felt limp, and she wanted to cry.
For whatever feelings she was going through, she just know that she wanted to leave this place and be alone.
"Hey if you guys don't mind I'm just gonna pick Finn up and go" Jieun forced a smile, trying her best to hold back her tears.
"Oh, I thought you wanted to teach Finn some tricks, Byeol loves cats too!" He smiled and looked over to Byeol.
Byeol, Byeol, Byeol.
"Nah, it's all good, something came up! I'll just bring Finn over to my place!" Jieun brushed it off and packed all her things, while her other arm carried Finn.
"That's alot of things, do you need a hand?" Byeol said looking over to Jieun who was in a hurry.
"It's okay!! I've got it!" Jieun smiled, "you guys catch up okay? I'll see you when I see you!" with that she left the apartment.
