4: Baguettes

"Hello?" I answered as my phone rang, from her contact. "Hi pretty girl, how are you?" She asked as I smiled hearing her voice."I'm okay baby, how are you doing?" I asked as she let a small sigh out. "I could be better, but life is moving so you know how that goes, she said as I nodded, understanding one hundred percent."Thank you for that sweet message and checking in on me though. I seriously appreciate you so much and I def needed to see that the other day," she said as I nodded."Of course. And I meant it babe," I said."So, are you busy tonight" she asked as I shook my head as if she could see, before responding."Nah proposal just chilling at home with my sister. Why what's up love?" I asked as Judea looked up, silently questioning who I was talking to. I waved her off as Reneé spoke again. "Oh okay. Well if your not too busy, I'm having my LA show today, and I would love to have you present, and possibly take you out for dinner," she offered as I smiled. "That sounds like a great plan love. Send me details and I'll be there," I said as she cheered lightly. "Yay! Okay I'll see you later babe," she said before hanging up. "Y/n what time are you leaving?" Juju asked as I shrugged. "Probably in like fifteen minutes. Her concert venue is only ten minutes from us," I said as I placed some mascara on and looked over my face. I decided to put on a more simple outfit today, not knowing what I would get into after Reneé's concert."I still can't believe you're basically going on a date with a famous singer. Make sure you see if you can get me tickets to the next concert," she said as I laughed. "I can see if I can bring you today Ju?" I offered."Nah I don't wanna intrude on your date. But the next one I'm all in. Plus I'm supposed to be going to study with Jacobi," she said as my eye brow rose."Hmm. Wrap it up, I don't want niece or nephew miss Skies," I teased as she rolled her eyes."I don't do those things miss Angel," She said back calling me by my middle name as well. I laughed and kissed her cheeks before grabbing my bag and setting it on our entryway table. "Wait, can you take my picture please? I have to post today for this hair," I said running my hands through the silky texture. She snapped a few before I posted them on standard and then headed out towards the venue.

"Okay Ju I'm leaving, lock the door behind me," I said as I kissed my little sister's head and walked out the door. I decided to drive today, instead of ubering since I had no plans on drinking tonight. I pulled up to the arena and called Reneé,  it knowing where I was supposed to park at."Hello?" I said as she answered. I heard some chatter in the background before hearing her voice. "Hey baby, what's up?" She spoked as I couldn't help the blush that crept onto my face. "Hey I'm here, where am I supposed to park at?" I asked sweetly as she chuckled. "Come around where the blue arrows are baby. There will be a sign that says 'Conroe eight' that's where you'll park. Just tell them your name I have it on a list," she said as I did as I was told. When I made it to that entrance the guy gestured for me to roll my window down. "This area isn't open for parking ma'am," he said as I nodded."I'm permitted to park here. Y/n Murray," I said as he looked at his clip board before nodding and telling the other guy to let em through "You good y/n?" Reneé asked as I forgot she was on the phone. "Yeah I'm okay love. I'm parking now. I'll see you in a bit," I said as I hung up. I gathered all of my things before locking my car and dropping my keys into my bag. When I made it tot he door, the same San from her Houston show was standing there. He looked me over before nodding, indicating that he must have remembered me. "Have a good night Ms. Rapp," he said lowly, confusing me. "Excuse me?"'inaksed but he stayed facing the opposite way. I shook it off and walked Deon the hall, following the sound of laughter. I peeked inside the room and saw Reneé, Towa, and some other guys in there. I walked in quietly, and made eye contact with Towa immediately. I smiled at her, before wrapping my arms around Reneé who jumped, timidly. "Holy shit you scared the hell out of me. Hi baby, how are you?" She asked, now hugging me back. I laughed a bit at her shocked mess."I'm good lovey, are you excited?" I asked as she nodded, smiling."Definitely now that I'll have you in the crowd. Everything went smooth? I don't need to fire any parking attendants do I?" She said making me smile."No, your security did have a really interesting nickname for em though," I said with a smirk as she playfully rolled her eyes." I don't knowing what you're talking about," she said in a dirty voice. I giggled before Towa cleared her throat. "Uh Nae, you're still on live," she mumbled, making me pull away immediately. Reneé shrugged and pulled me back to her. She walked closer into the camera, and now we could both be seen. "Okay babes listen. This is one of my favorite people, in the whole world. Yall probably already recognize her Gorgeous, gorgeous face. But this is my Y/n/n,""Hey yall," I said waving a bit. The comments came in fast and mostly seemed to be full of love."Bigheartgoodtits said who is she to you and is she single. Well Miss. Y/N are you?" She said making a fake mic with her hand and holding it towards me. I giggled at the goofiness of Reneé before responding. "I am absolutely single," I said as Towa scoffed. I looked back at her and she side eyed Reneé making me laugh. "Well folks, that's all I'm gonna hear to sound check, but I love love love yall. Go stream the Snow Angel album or your Homophobic," she said before ending her live. "Homophobic?" I asked laughing. "Single?" She responded back and it seemed like that was the cue for everyone to leave the room as they all began to disperse. "Mmhm," I answered back as she sat next to me, crossing her arms across her chest and I couldn't help but stare into her enticing eyes. "Not for long. Anyways, what song do you wanna hear first pretty girl?" She asked changing the subject. I laughed and thought for a while. "Mm, well 23 is definitely my favorite, but I feel like starting off with an oldie would be so good," I started as she smiled nodding. "Oh yeah, like Tattoos or In the kitchen?" She pondered as I shook my head."Ya know I was thinking more like...Baguettes," I said smirking as she gasped before falling into a pit of laughter. "Yo no way you know about that song!" She said shocked as I nodded."I told you, I'm a HUGE Reneé MJ fan baby," I teased as she blushed hard. "Oh my gosh is Reneé blushingggg," I cooed, as I pinched her cheek. She smacked my hand away before playfully rolling her eyes; something I've noticed she does a lot. "Yeah yeah. Can't help in when there this much beauty infront of me," she flirted back. I leaned in closer, before speaking up. "So as much as I am excited to see you perform again, I have to ask, where is it you want to get dinner tonight?" I asked as she shook her head smiling. "That's a surprise baby. And You're dressed perfectly before you start worrying that pretty little head of yours," she said negating the exact thought that ran through my head. I smiled and nodded. The door opened and Towa peaked their head in. "Hey, Adam said they need you out to get wired in five," Reneé nodded and stood up, before pasing me a lanyard. "Here baby, out this on so no one tries to kick you out," she said as I nodded. I placed the lanyard on and stood up, following her out the room. When we made it out Reneé went to go do whatever singers do before they perform, and I walked with Towa, who showed me where family and friends watched the show. When we entered the special section I saw Mel's friend, Scarlett and smiled. "Hey gorgeous. Damn Nae wastes no time," she said as I giggled."Hey girly. Yeah, I live here in Cali and I kind of owe her a date after accidentally blowing her off in Houston," I explained as she smirked nodded."So you are lesbian. Cool, Cass had like an ongoing discussion that may have ended in a bet. So thanks for winning me a night to Top, babe," she said holding her hand out as I laughed and shook it. "Yeah I am definitely as gay as they come. I thought my little lesbian flag tattoo gave that away. I'll have to find a different way to broadcast that hm," I said more to myself as she laughed. Soon the show started, and I could hear familiar cords playing. Scarlett immediately jumped up from her seat as Nae's voice came through the venue's sound system. "You think you know me," I gasped before covering my face. "Diamond cuts with Baguettes, don't forget Boy," Than the song stopped and her fans started booing making me laugh."Haha, I love yall, but I had to entertain that for a special somebody, y'all get me?" She asked them before the music started up again, but this time Gemini Moon started. Scarlett immediately reached over and tapped me."What the hell did you do with Reneé Mary-Jane Rapp. You got her to sing Baguettes Live?" She said just as in shock."She told me no, I'm so surprised," I responded as she shook her head."I give yall three days. And that's me being generous," she spoke as I shook my head still smiling ear to ear.
