Graduation

May 30th, graduation day!

Today was the day! We all after today would be high school graduates.

I put on a pretty sun dress and then got my gown and headed to school.

All of us girls met up and took pictures before the ceremony.

It was 30 minutes before the ceremony and everyone was here but Michael.....

"Drake do you know where he is? " I asked. Drake shook his head. I kept trying to call him but no answers. Time was going by and Michael still wasn't here.

5 minutes before we started he came in, rushing through the door.

He got in his spot really quick without even looking at me.

We all walked into the gym and sat down in our seats. I looked over to Michael and he seemed irritated.

I was the 1st called and walked across the stage to get my diploma. Everyone cheered and clapped.

The principal announced our class year. We all stood up and hollered throwing our hats.

We were dismissed and i went to Michael. I wrapped my arms around him, he smiled a bit. "Hey goregous. " He said.

"Whats up? I can see your not happy. " i said.

" I'm just kind of upset." He said.

"Why? " I asked.

"Can we talk about it later? I just want is to be happy right now. " He said sincerly.

"Of course baby." I smiled kissing him.

"Michael!Dre!" Janet hollered at us with Riley by her. Riley & Janey were the same age and went to the same school. They were friends.

We hugged them as they congratulated is.

"I can't believe my baby just graduated high school. It seem just like yesterday we lived in Gary and you were following my every movement like a shadow." Katherine reminisced wipping tears off of her face.

"Mom don't cry. " He laughed.

"I can't help it. My little boy is growing up!" She said. Michael hugged her. "Hey I'll be right back. I have to go find my parents. " I said running off.

My parents took pictures then Katherine wanted pictures of Michael and I.

Overall it was a good day! Wesley, Trey, Anna, Drake, Layla, michael and I went to the beach. Ally met us up there.

Michael and I were driving down there when I asked him why he was up set.

"So what's up? Why were you upset."

"Did you notice the only people who came to my graduation was mother and Janet." He said.

I gasped realizing basically none of his family came to celebrate his big day with him. " Babe I'm so sorry." I said grabbing his hand.

" I know i fucked up and disappointed everyone, but this day was a big special event. And even Joseph didn't show up. My own father!" He said mad. His eyes glossed over. "Babe I really am sorry. You know I'm always here for you." I said.

" I mean I understand Rebbie lives to far and she called me and told me. And so did Marlon but Jermaine? Tito? Jackie? LaToya? Even Randy, he fucking lives with me and didn't go. You know what. I don't even give a fuck. As long as i have you, that's all I need. " He said as a single tear fell. " I love you." I said softly. His jaw was clenched, i grabbed his hand and kissed it.

He pulled into the parking lot and sat there.

"I just don't get it. Jackie has a kid at 17 years old then cheats on his girlfriend and he got treated the same. Never got shunned, or anything. I get it. He needed help, he had a baby on the way so everyone helped, EVERYONE. I'm not asking for pitty or sympathy. But I really could use my family right now and they're not there. My own blood. I just want someone to talk to that can understand that lived in Gary and knew what it was like. I know you try do hard Dre but I could really use my brothers." He said. My heart was breaking for him. He need his family.

I crawled over into his lap. He looked so sad. "I'm just a fuck up." He said.

I grabbed his face , putting my forehead on his. "No, you are not. You messed up, okay? Some of the greatest people in the world have had drug addictions. We're gonna get through this. " I told. He hugged me tight, burying his face into my chest. I could feel his tears soaking my shirt. I held him as he finally let out his feelings. Katherine told me he's very sensitive but he trys to hide it.

"I'm sorry." He apologized as he still had his head on my chest. " Don't apologize baby, you needed to let that out. " I said playing with his curls.

I kissed him softly.

"Let's go have fun. Forget all this mess. " I said. He nodded, " are my eyes super red?" He asked. I can tell he doesn't want people to know he was crying. " they're a little red. I'm sure once we get out of this car, the fresh air will help. " I replied.

We all swam in the ocean and had fun. Everyone was taking pictures, wanting to cherish this moment of us all together.

We sat around the fire drinking beer or some type of fruity alcoholic drink.
