A Much Needed Talk

Warnings- slight cussing and bat violence

A day early you are welcome 🤗 Y/N is going to give Miguel a hard time for a bit before she figures things out :)

"Hmm." I stir awake to faint voices arguing out in the living room.

I flutter my eyes open and it takes a moment for me to come to my senses but as soon as my ears start to listen, I hear a screaming match but not by Miguel... It's a woman's voice.

OH FUCK LILLY

I scramble from my bed, almost falling off and eating shit along the way. I run into the living room and i find Lilly with a bat in her hands trying to swing at Miguel who's ducking.

I look over to Oscar who's giggling in his high chair watching them.

"Lilly stop!" I shout as i motion my hands in the air.

"ESTA LOCA CAME IN AND SAW ME AND SHE GOT THE BAT FROM THE CLOSET AND STARTED SWINGING." Miguel explains to me.

Translation- this crazy ass

"YOU'RE FUCKING RIGHT ESTA LOCA STARTED SWINGING. WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING HERE!" She frowns as she tries to swing again.

"Okay Lilly stop, put the bat down." I say as i take a step in front of her.

"Sure, after i beat his ass." She smirks.

"Lilliana Give me the bat." I now have a mother tone voice.

"Ugh." She groans and slowly gives me the bat.

"Y/N what is he doing here." She frowns.

"I live here." Miguel sasses behind me.

Lilly glares at me "We're co-parenting." I say in defense.

"That don't mean he gotta live here? Did he even give you a good reason why he left?!" She shouts.

"And i mean a good reason.. not a bullshit excuse." She glares at Miguel the whole time she says it.

Miguel scoffs and crosses his arms.

"He wants a relationship with Oscar." I say softly.

She looks over to the infant who has a smile on his face.

She groans "I-I don't know if this is a good idea Y/N." She says concerned.

I don't know if this is a good idea either, but i have to try for Oscar.

"No one asked you." Miguel scoffs.

Lilly scowls at him, I turn around "Miguel, you're not helping here, just go and sit next to Oscar." I scowl.

"She started it." He gives me lip.

"Miguel." I motion my eyes to Oscar's direction.

"Pinché loca." Miguel curses in Spanish under his breath as he walks over to Oscar.

Translation- fucking crazy ass

"Y/N, Do you think he deserves a chance?" She doesn't even try to lower her voice.

"I can hear you." Miguel growls as he feeds Oscar.

"GOOD." She flips him off.

Miguel does a bombastic side eye.

"I think he does, he deserves a chance to build a relationship with Oscar." I say.

"Just him?" She questions.

I start to get nervous as i know Miguel wants to know the answer too.

"Why don't we go in the other room to talk." I motion my eyes to Lilly.

"Alright." She nods.

We start to walk but she gives Miguel a warning "That Baby still better be here when i come out." She grits.

Miguel offendedly scoffs.

Criminal offense side eye

We sit on the edge of the bed "Y/N i love you with all my heart but you are being dumb as fuck right now." She says in a disappointing tone.

I sigh as i nod "Maybe but it wasn't his fault, He didn't have a choice." I say to her.

"And you believe him?"

"Yes."

"We're co-parenting, I told him there is no us, just him and Oscar."

"For now or for good?"

"Um i don't know." I look to the floor.

"Y/N, Even a blind person could see that you're still in love with him."

"I can't tell if that's offensive or racist.. or both?" I frown as i cross my arms.

"Just don't let him off the hook so easy.. make the bitch earn you.. let him grovel." She says slowly.

"Okay." I nod.

"I love you, i just worry he's going to break your heart again." She hugs me.

"I love you too." I hug her back.

"So... what about Brian?" She starts to smile.

"I-It's complicated." I sigh.

"Doesn't have to be." She says in a singy tone voice.

"You said you're only co-parenting with Spider bitch right? So you're single.. Brian is single and in love with you."

"Yes but i don't know what is going on with Brian and now with Miguel back, it's too messy. They hate each other, you should have seen them yesterday, I had to stop Miguel from ripping his neck off." I say and I'm already getting a migraine from yesterday's episode.

"You have to talk to Brian, it's only right." She says.

"Yea i know." I sigh.

"You're not going to have sex with Miguel right?" She arches an eyebrow.

"No of course not." I say offended.

"Okay good because that will break co-parenting and it could get messy, You have a son to think about now."

"I know." I whisper.

"Do you trust him around the baby?" She whispers.

"Yea that i know for certain, He won't try anything or do anything to hurt him. He really wants to try."

"Well i guess time will tell." She sighs.

I guess so

Lilly and i continued to talk, I told her everything that happened yesterday, Miguel and Brian's brawl, the reason why he left and the beautiful moment i caught of him and Oscar last night.

"Bye little guy." Lilly kisses and pinches Oscar's cheek as he giggles.

"Bye." I say to her as Oscar and i walk her out.

She waves bye to me, she looks over to Miguel in the kitchen and flips him off.

I chuckle as i close the door.

"She needs an evaluation check." Miguel huffs.

Probably

"She just wasn't expecting you to show up." I say.

"D-Did you?" He asks nervously.

My eyes fall sad to the floor "I had hope but it started to fade away." I whisper.

"You thought i would never come back?" He says hurt.

"Well no."

He looks away "Let's not talk about that right now." I change the subject.

He nods "Okay, can i make late breakfast or lunch?" He slightly smiles as he looks at the clock reading 1:20 P.M.

"Actually, i have plans but you and Oscar can take advantage and bond." I say as i walk into my bedroom and set Oscar down for a nap.

"O-Oh okay, Um thanks for giving me a chance and trusting me." He smiles.

"I won't be gone for more than an hour." I assure him.

"No it's fine take your time." He assures as he leans on the crib, playing with Oscar.

I walk into the bathroom and i wash up and get dressed.

I walk out and i find Miguel and Oscar practicing tummy time on my bed.

He looks over to me and smiles "You look pretty." He compliments.

"Thank you, Lilly will come after her shift to help you." I say as i give Oscar kisses.

Miguel groans as he rolls his eyes.

"I don't need her help." He deadpans.

"It's just you're not familiar with Oscar yet Miguel, she knows how to calm him down or what to do." I say as I fluff out Oscar's hair.

He looks down and sighs "Don't worry, you'll be one day." I say to make him feel better.

"Just please don't murder each other.. Oscar loves her." I say and he smirks.

"Okay esta bien pues." He shrugs his shoulders.

Translation- all right, fine

"Thanks, If you need me just call me, you have my cell, It shouldn't take me long to talk to Brian." I say and his whole expression changes.

"WAIT QUE QUE." His jaw drops.

Translation- what

"You're going to go see that cabron!" He says in disbelief.

Translation- Bastard

"Yes, I need to talk to him Miguel." I say as i grab my purse and i start to walk away.

"About what?" He says in panic as he and Oscar follow behind me.

I arch my eyebrow as i turn around "Miguel we're only co-parenting, There is no us, I can go places and talk to whoever i want and be friends with whoever i want and Brian is my friend. He's been there for me."

"I know but..

"There is not buts." I take his line from one year ago.

"Take this time to bond with Oscar, don't worry about me right now." I say and he sighs and curses under his breath.

He knows he can't afford to go further in the Dog House.

He's just going to have to bite the bullet.

"Can you at least tell me if it's a date?" He says in a jealous tone.

"No." I deadpan and i give Oscar one last kiss before i open the door.

"Alright fine, what time are you coming back?" He grows more frustrated.

"Goodbye Baby." I wave bye to Oscar, ignoring Miguel.

"Don't i even get a kiss goodbye or something?" He says desperate.

I pat miguel's head "Don't forget to give him a bath." I smile.

I close the door and i stay still for a moment.

"Coño." I hear Miguel cursing.

I'm not trying to be mean but i won't lie.. it's kind of fun to see Miguel squirm a bit.

I walk outside and i head to Mickey's Diner to go have my talk with Brian.
