( Chapter Fifteen )

I felt my heart stop beating with every word Camila said. I understood her eagerness to stay with Shawn.

CAMILA POV

I finally opened up to Lauren about why I couldn't just leave Shawn, Not only because of me but I had my mom and Sofi to think of. When my dad died Shawn was there for me unconditionally and for that I was eternally grateful but also he knew where my family came from and our status in this country, that is why we got married in the first place.

Yes we were in love at first but he also wanted to help me and my family out. My parents came to this country illegally from Cuba trying to escape it's poverty and for me to ultimately have a better future. The only option I had to be legal in this country was to marry Shawn so he could get me papers. Was it fucked up? Yes, I felt bad that at this point that's all I wanted from him.

His only condition was that we had to be married for at least three years to make sure I was with him for love and not just a piece of paper. But, now that seemed impossible I couldn't stay with Shawn for two more years but I wasn't only risking my stay here but also my mothers. We were illegal here and on one of Shawn's drunken nights he threaten me to call immigration on me and my mom.

I was scared that we would be deported and that we would be sent back to Cuba, I couldn't allow that. Thankfully Sofi was born here but her being a minor she would have to come with us and I just couldn't see my sister living in such a poor controlled life if we ever went back.

As I explained all of this to Lauren tears kept streaming down her face making my heart ache but she had to know my only reason for staying with Shawn.

"I don't know what to say" I heard Lauren's broken voice say minutes later.

"You don't have to say anything, I just wanted you to know everything. Every detail about me, every reason for everything I do or don't. I just want to be honest with you, but Lauren I am willing to give up on everything, for you" Now I was the one crying. I couldn't hold it in anymore I was so In love with this woman I was willing to risk everything for her.

"I would never ask you to risk your families stay here, for me Camila. I just can't and won't allow that. I mean, You've been married for almost two years, we can just wait right?" Lauren said trying to wipe her tears off her face, her expression sad and just broken.

"I can't stay with Shawn babe, I just can't. Not when I can be with you" I whispered staring into those beautiful green eyes that I just couldn't be without.

We stayed quiet for a few minutes until she embraced me in a hug. Feeling her arms around me made me feel so safe like nothing or anyone could hurt me. They were my safe place.

"Lets go home" Laurens raspy voice said.

"BAAABBBBEEEEEEEEEEEE" I heard someone yell from the kitchen rudely waking me up from my sleep. Shawn was coming back in two days and Lauren had plan a date day today with Normani and Dinah. It had been a few days since my talk with Lauren and we hadn't touched the subject ever since, we decided to just enjoy this days together and talk about the inevitable on our last night.

"WHAAAT?!" I yelled back laughing I could already see Normani's and Dinah's annoyed faces from their room. Dinah had finally moved in last week making their relationship more than official. I was so happy for them, Dinah had never looked more blissful in her life. Ally stopped by once in a while she left for Europe yesterday with Will her boyfriend and wasn't coming back for a few months. She said that she would get Dinah and Normani married as soon as she came back, making the couple blush because a wedding was not even on their plans, for now.

I didn't hear an answer back, I proceeded to do my morning routine brushing my teeth and changing to more comfortable clothes. When I exit Lauren's room I saw rose pedals all over the floor and bouquets of sunflowers spread all over the living room.

"Good morning princess" I saw Lauren grinning from ear to ear.

"What is this?" I asked giving her a peck on her lips, my arms around her neck.

"Breakfast babe" that's all she said giving my forehead a kiss and telling me to take a seat on the floor, I looked at her with a confused face until I saw what she had done.

There was a colorful rug on the floor and a kotatsu table that can only be seen in Japanese homes. It had pedals all around and a few candles on top, the table was filled with different types of food.

I could see bananas, waffles, eggs, bacon, apple juice, and of course some Cuban dishes prepared by my favorite Cuban girl.

"I love this, thank you baby" I said as Lauren took a seat next to me.

"I love you Camila, Never forget that" She gave me a kiss filled with all the love in the world.

"I love you too Jauregui" I said back, My cheeks hurt already from all the smiling. "Hey where's Mani and Dinah?" I asked, with all this food Dinah would be out here by now.

"They went out on a morning date as well, They'll be here later. Don't worry."

We ate, talked and laughed non stop. It was barely nine in the morning and this day was already perfect, We finished eating the amazing breakfast my girlfriend had prepared for us as she guided me back to her room.

"Now for dessert" Lauren said her voice sounding raspier and sexier than usual, I saw her get completely undressed as I sat on the edge of her bed. She was the most aesthetic masterpiece I had ever laid eyes on.

"Dang Mila you've been asking since 30 min ago, Shut up already. We'll be there soon" Dinah whined from the front seat as Normani drove and I sat next to Lauren holding her hand.

"Disney?" I asked as I started seeing the signs, Lauren's smile grew so big.

"Yes babe, We have a date in Disney" She leaned forward kissing my lips with so much affection, God, I loved this girl more than life itself.

"Yasss Camren" Is all I heard Dinah yell from the front seat. " We should take a selfie" She suggested.

"You know we can't" Lauren replied, Knowing there couldn't be proof of me dating Lauren, At least not for now.

"Chill, We're all friends here. Why does it have to be romantic. C'mon" Dinah insisted. So we did, She pointed the camera to her and Normani in the front kissing and me and Lauren making a "Yuck" face with our fingers inside our mouths. It was a cute picture so Dinah posted it on the safest place no one would see it, Twitter. She posted the picture with the caption "Date with this Bae's #norminah #camren" making all of us smile. This day couldn't get any more perfect.

"Kay bitches lets go have some fun" Normani said getting out of the car.

We entered the park and I saw Dinah and Normani going their separate way.

"Wait I thought we were all hanging out?" I asked looking at Lauren confused.

"We are, Later though. I have a surprise for you" She said pulling me towards the castle in the middle of the park, She was pulling me to go inside the castle as we entered a secluded area I saw a table with two chairs and again filled with flowers.

"What is this?" I asked smiling like an idiot. "A date inside your castle princess" Lauren said placing a crown on my head.

"You or Dinah?" I asked laughing only getting her beautiful laugh back. We sat down and talked for hours not really paying attention to the time. I could listen to Lauren talk for an eternity she was so intelligent and her words just captivated you, you could never get bored with her.

"Oh shit we have to go" She said giving me a quick kiss as we entwined our hands. We met up with Normani and Dinah again as we waited for the fireworks.

"Look at you being all cute" I said to Dinah who hugged Normani from behind, they made such a beautiful couple.

"Shut up." She said back giving Normani a kiss on her cheek.

"So whipped" I laughed feeling Lauren behind me now as we saw the fireworks. I was so distracted that I didn't noticed what was starting to happen next to me. Lauren let go of me and I saw her take out her phone and start recording.

"Ever since I met you I just knew there would be no future without you in it. I fell in love since the first dance class we had, those moves girl. You had me at the first twerk" Dinah said laughing nervously. Normani was standing a shocked expression on her face and her eyes started to water. Lauren kept recording a huge smile on her face as she turned and looked at me the camera still focused on the couple.

"I know we had a rocky start but that was because I was afraid you would never feel the way I did. I'm not good with words or explaining how I feel or even romantic I joke around all the time, I'm also not even sure about what I'll have for breakfast tomorrow or if I'm going to have clean laundry for next week but one thing I am sure of is I want you by my side when I wake up and when I go to sleep. There's no one else I would rather fight with than with you, No one else I would sing my lungs out to Beyoncé than you." Dinah kept talking.

"So today in front of our two best friends, I want to ask you something Normani Kordei" Dinah kneeled and all the people around us let out a loud "Aww". Lauren handed her a box as Dinah took it and opened it up a big ring was shining bright inside it and Normani lost it, she had both her hands over her mouth as I started to tear up.

"Will you do me the honor and be my wife?" Dinah asked, Normani bent over pulling Dinah up and kissing her lovingly.

"There's no one I would rather blast Beyoncé to than you, Yes Dinah Jane I will gladly be your wife" Normani said as Dinah took the ring and put it on Normani's ring finger. Dinah lifted Normani's left arm and yelled as loud as she could "I liked it so I put a ring on it" Everyone clapped and snapped photos of the beautiful couple I couldn't help but cry.

Lauren stopped recording and embraced me in a hug.

" You okay babe?" she asked removing the tears from my face. "Yes I just didn't expect that at all. That was beautiful" I said before turning to the couple and hugging them congratulating them for this huge step.

"You know you're gonna be my maid of honor Mila" Dinah said lifting me up and twirling me around. "Yes I know" I laughed.

"You better take care of my girl" I said to Normani as I hugged her next. "Always" She said a huge smile on her face, We FaceTime Ally telling her the news and she lost her shit. Not believing Dinah would propose.

After a few hours I was again outside my house being dropped off by the love of my life probably one last time. After tonight maybe we could finally be together.

"What a night" she said turning off her engine.

"I know it was perfect, You'll probably hear those two have wild sex now" I said laughing knowing Dinah and Normani were alone right now doing the dirty.

"Probably." Lauren laughed. "So what's the plan now?" she asked. We had such a busy day we didn't get the chance to talk about how I would tell Shawn the news.

"Well, I'll just ask for a divorce. There's nothing more to it" I said back only getting a worried look from Lauren.

"Maybe you shouldn't" She said looking down.

"What do you mean Lauren? I have to. I can't be with him and you." I said back scared of where this conversation was heading.

"You don't have to" she said, her voice cracked and so did my heart. It had been an amazing day how are we here now?

"Wh-what do you mean? I asked my voice shaky.

"Maybe, You need to be with him Camila. You need to. I can't make you risk everything for me I just can't" she said without looking at me.

"Lauren I" is all I said before hearing a knock on the window I looked up and there he was.

Shawn.

What was he doing home early?

He opened the door and grabbed me by my arm.

"Honey I'm home" he said a huge smirk on his face as he pulled me up and kissed me, I had my eyes open and I could see the sadness on Laurens face.

"Thanks for bringing her home bud, I got it from here" he said taking my things from Lauren's car and slamming the door , he didn't even let me say goodbye as I saw Lauren drive away.

What would happen now? Lauren didn't want me to get a divorce but I did. Shawn was here and now I didn't know what to do.

Lauren or Shawn?
