Welcome to Orlando!

"Wake up! Wake up, wake up, wake up!" I hear Michael yell in my ear, disturbing my sleep.
"Rooooosseeeeee! Wake up! We're going to Disney World today!" I hear shuffling, then bouncing. I open my eyes to see Michael jumping on the bed, shouting "Disney! Disney! Disney!"
"Okay Michael, I'm up." I groan, stretching out my arms and legs. Michael stops jumping and plops down next to me, smiling from ear to ear.
"Are you excited? I couldn't sleep last night, I just kept thinking about the rides I'm going to go on, and the kids! Oh my goodness they're going to be so happy today! Come on get dressed already!" Michael rambles, and I noticed he's already dressed for today. I look at the clock and it's 4 am.
"Michael, let me get ready then we can go alright?"
"Okay." Michael gives me a kiss and skips out of my room, singing "We're going to Disney World." Over and over. I laugh to myself and get out of bed, yawning as I walk to the bathroom.
After I showered and got dressed I go out to the living room to see Michael holding my purse and jacket, eager to leave.
"How long have you been standing there?" I ask, turning around so he could put my jacket on for me.
"About 20 minutes." He pushes me towards the door, "Let's go!" We leave the hotel room and head down to the van that was waiting for us, and got in, with my Mother and Bill in tow.
"Are we ready?" John asks.
"YES!" Michael yells while the rest of us mumble, and we drive off, and all of us eventually dozed off on the 3 hour ride to Orlando.
3 Hours Later
*Michael*
"Wake up babe, we're here." Rose shakes me awake, I open my eyes and rub them, my vision going in and out.
"Where are we?" I yawn.
"Orlando silly. We're at the foster care." Rose smiles, and I easily found myself getting energetic again.
"Oh right! Where's the kids?" I beam, looking around the empty parking lot.
"They're inside. We thought you would like to greet them before we head to Disney, you know, get to know them."
"That's a great idea! What are we waiting for? Come on!" I hop out of the van, and squint my eyes. It's very bright outside. I put on my sunglasses and help Rose and Dalma out of the van. Bill leads us to the front entrance of the building and the director meets us.
"Hello Mr. Jackson and Miss Rose! It is such a honor to meet you guys! I'm Denise Scott, the director of the facility."
"Hello Denise." Rose says, shaking her hand. "This is my mother Dalma, and Michaels bodyguard Bill."
"Hello." Dalma and Bill wave, and Denise smiles back.
"Welcome. Well I'm sure you guys are eager to meet the kids, follow me." We follow her inside where the group of kids were sitting down at a table, and when they saw us, all we heard was gasps.
"Wow, I didn't think they would've actually shown up." I see a kid whisper to someone else.
"Kids, this is Michael and Rose, they're here to take you all to Disney World! Isn't that exciting?"
The kids erupt in cheers, obviously happy that they get to have a day of fun.
"Alright settle down now. We have to do roll call, then make sure everyone has their overnight bags." Denise says, and turns to us.
"If you guys want to, you can interact with them, they're very polite kids, since they are older, and you don't have to worry about them being rowdy or anything." She winks at us, and walks away, leaving us alone with the kids.
Rose goes and introduces herself to all the kids, giving them hugs and kisses all around. The great thing about her was that there was no paparazzi or media following her. This wasn't a publicity stunt, this was just, Rose being herself.
I go and say hi to everyone and they really were polite kids. This day was gonna be a breeze.
"Alright guys! Here's the plan." Denise says, holding a clipboard to her face. "We're all going together but when it comes to certain rides and whatnot you'll be split in groups. If you have a red card, you'll be with Michael. If you have a blue card, you're with Rose. We'll discuss all of that on the ride over there. Now who's ready to have some fun?"
The room cheers, smiles all around. We do a head count and load up the van and soon we're off on the road.
"How far is Disney from here?" Dalma asks.
"About 30 minutes away. It's actually in a city called Kissimmee." Denise says.
"Kiss-a-me?" Rose scrunches her nose, it was a weird name for a city.
One of the kids, Tommy, laughs. "No Miss Rose. It's pronounced Kiss-sim-me."
"Kiss-sim-me." Rose whispers to herself. "Huh, what a interesting name."
"Don't worry, it took me ten years to say it right." Tommy says, and Rose smiles at him.
While the kids are talking amongst themselves and to the other adults, I notice a girl sitting in front of me and she was awfully quiet. I lean forward and notice that she has a little handbook, filled with spectacular drawings.
I tap her on the shoulder and she quickly closes her book and hides it, looking embarrassed.
"Why did you close it? Those drawings are beautiful."
"Really?" She whispers, looking around to see if anyone else was listening. "The others don't think so."
"Nonsense. I like to draw too you know. You should show me some of your work during lunch."
The girl beams with excitement, and it was the first time I've seen her smile. "Seriously? That would be amazing."
"What's your name?"
"Tabitha."
"Well it's very nice to meet you Tabitha. You're an amazing artist, and don't let anyone else tell you different." I smile, and she grins. She looks around again to see if people were staring and pulls out her notebook. She rips off a piece of paper and hands it to me.
I look at the picture and gasp. It was a pen sketch of me performing in concert. It was amazing.
"I'm a huge fan of yours." Tabitha whispers, looking down embarrassed.
"Tabitha this is beautiful. You're an amazing artist." I look over to Rose, and she's deep into a conversation with Dalma and some kids about which Mac and cheese was better.
"Hey, can you do me a favor?" I ask Tabitha.
"Sure Mr. Jackson. Anything."
"You can call me Michael." I smile. "Could you draw me a picture of Rose?"
"Actually, I was in the process of making a picture of her. She's one of my idols also and I love that you two are together."
I grin, and blush. "I'm happy that you love us. You're a very sweet girl."
"You should adopt me then. I'm 15, and I'm awesome. Plus that means free art for life." She laughs, and I join her.
I ended up getting to know more about Tabitha throughout the ride over there and she was such a sweetheart. I notice that Rose was getting to know Tommy also. I take a moment to look at the two kids before I notice something.
"Tabitha." I lean towards her.
"Hmm?" She says, her attention on her notepad.
"Do you have a brother?"
She looks up and looks to Rose and Tommy, they were playing rock, paper, scissors. "Yep. Tommy."
"Oh wow. Are you guys twins?"
"No. He's older than me. He'll be 18 in December. Once he turns 18 he'll be out of foster care and gets to live his own life."
"I see. I'm assuming that he's going to take you with him?" I ask.
Tabitha shakes her head. "No. It doesn't work that way. It's a miracle that we got to be together here in the first place. They usually separate siblings in foster care. I have to wait until I'm 18 before I can leave here. The only other way is if I get a foster family or get adopted, but I highly doubt that's gunna happen. Nobody wants a 15 year old." She sighs, I can hear a tinge of sadness in her voice.
Before I could say anything, Denise spoke up.
"Alright guys! We're here!"
Everyone in the van started screaming, excited that we finally make it.
"Look! There's the entrance! It's so fancy." Dalma exclaims. I look to my right and notice the Disney sign, it was nice.
"Oh that's nothing, wait until you see the Magic Kingdom entrance." Denise says, and we keep driving along the road.
"Why are the roads so long to get there? It's not like an amusement park where everything's together?" Dalma asks, and Tabitha speaks up.
"No Miss Dalma. There's three parks, Epcot, Magic Kingdom, and MGM-Studios. They're still building MGM but it'll be open later next year. They're so huge that they have to make them separately, instead of bunching them all together."
"Wow, you really know your Disney girl." Rose says.
"Ah yes. Tabitha loves Disney, she wants to be a cartoonist for them one day." Denise says, and Tabitha blushes in embarrassment.
"Ah here we are! Welcome to Magic Kingdom!"
We park at the van drop off and we're greeted by a cast member, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck, and Goofy.
I try to control myself, because I was about to push these kids out the way and go hug Mickey.
"Contain yourself love." Rose whispers to me, squeezing my hand. I blush away from her.
"Welcome to Magic Kingdom! I'm sure you know who these guys are." The cast member points to the Disney characters behind him. "You all can place your bags in here, and they'll be escorted to our Polynesian Resort, which is where you'll be staying. The park is all yours for the day and every ride is open for your enjoyment. Have fun!"
We say thank you and walk through the ticket gates, and once we got into our groups we headed off to the rides. The first one we went on was Space Mountain.
"I'm a little scared of roller coasters."Tabitha says to me. She was in my group and I was glad.
"Why? They're awesome girl. Quit being a wuss." A kid named Julian tells her.
"Hey now, don't be mean now." Dalma says to him, and he puts his head down.
I look over to Tabitha and put my hand on her shoulder. "You'll be fine. You want to sit next to me on the ride? I promise nothing will happen."
Doubtful, Tabitha eventually nods her head and we go inside the ride. She had her eyes closed the entire time and clutched onto my arm for dear life but she was happy she got on it.
I spent time with the other kids so they wouldn't feel left out, but they didn't seem to mind. All they cared about was getting on all the rides.
I look at my watch and notice it's time to go get lunch so we walk to the pavilion and met with the other group.
"Hey babe." Rose says to me. I look at her and she's covered in fake tattoos and has a huge lollipop in her hand. She looked so adorable, and happy.
"Hey yourself. You seem to be having fun."
She chuckles. "Oh yeah! We went on Splash Mountain like three times, and then we went to Fantasyland and went on Mr. Toads Wild Ride and we saw some shows, ugh! It's awesome here Michael." She pretends to faint into my arms. "Can we move in here?"
"Of course. We'll live in Cinderella's castle." I laugh. I haven't seen her this happy since we went to Neverland.
"Come on, let's eat." She pulls me inside and we sit down.
"We should go to Peter Pan's Flight after we eat, since we won't be in groups anymore." Rose says, stuffing her face with a cheeseburger.
"Yes! I can't wait." I kiss her cheek, and I hear two voices express their disgust behind us. I turn and see Tommy and Tabitha, and I motion for them to sit down.
"Michael this is Tommy. He's very smart, gets honor roll and wants to be a sound engineer." Rose introduces us.
"Hey Tommy, how are you?"
"I'm alright. Thanks for watching over my sister." He motions to Tabitha, who's blushing again.
"It's my pleasure. Your sister is a sweetheart. Rose, this is Tabitha, she's an amazing artist and wants to be a cartoonist when she grows up."
"Oh really? You should draw something for me one day Tabitha." Rose smiles, and I thought Tabitha was going to faint right then and there.
"Oh of course Miss Rose. That would be an honor." Tabitha says.
"Ah call me Rosie love, and trust me, it would be an honor to have a drawing by you."
Tabitha and Tommy smile, and they both excuse themselves to get some more food.
Rose turns to me and raises her eyebrow.
"What?"
"I know what you're thinking Jackson."
I chuckle. "Oh you do?"
"Mhm. And I think it's a wonderful idea. These kids are special and you should do everything in your power to help them. I honestly want to take them in but in my current situation, that's not likely." She sighs, and looks down. "Look, I'm not saying adopt them or foster them, but in the case that I might go away, take them to Neverland for a weekend. Have my mom come too. Shit, just have a field day. They need someone who cares for them. I barely know the kids and I want to keep them and call them my own. Don't lose contact with them. For me okay?"
I grab her hands and stroke them. "What if you don't go to jail though?"
"Then I'm going to adopt them and we're all going to live in Neverland and there's nothing you're going to do about it."
I open my mouth but she stops me. "Say another word," She leans into my ear. "And I'll rip your balls off." She kisses the side of my head.
"Love you!" She skips towards the candy section and grabs a candy bar.
I swear that girl is a trip. But I love her.

After being at Magic Kingdom for almost 12 hours we finally decided to call it a night. The people at Disney set up a beautiful dinner for us, and invited Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Goofy, Daisy, and Pluto along. The food was amazing and afterwards we took pictures with everyone.
Mickey gave Michael a rose, which he gave to me, and Minnie stole a kiss from Michael, in which him and Mickey play fought after Mickey got jealous.
We get to the resort and everyone went into their separate rooms. We said goodnight to Tommy and Tabitha then headed into our room. I was exhausted.
"Today was great!" Michael yells from the bathroom.
"Yeah, it was. But it's back to reality tomorrow." I frown, remembering that I have to fly to Boston tomorrow.
"Hey now, don't think about that. It's not 12 yet, so let's live in the now. Don't think about tomorrow. When it comes it comes." Michael pulls me up and kisses me, making me melt in his arms.
"You're right. I need to take a shower." I stretch. I was so sore and I needed sleep. "Wanna join me?"
"Rose! We are at Disney!"
"Okay? What's your point?"
Michael opened his mouth, then shut it.
"Exactly. Besides, I just want someone to be near. We won't do anything sexual. I promise."
"Mhm. Okay Rose."
And that's exactly what we did. Shower together. I was too sore and tired to try anything with him. When we got out we were talking about the rides that we went on and how my mom got mad because she didn't know Splash Mountain was a water ride, and got her curls wet.
When we checked the clock it was 12:30, and I knew I had to get some sleep.
"Goodnight Michael." I nuzzle myself into his chest.
"Goodnight Rosie." He kisses the top of my head, and I instantly knock out. I had little nightmares throughout the night about the trial and what to expect.
I was a nervous wreck but I didn't want anyone to know.
I had to be strong. For Michael, my parents, and most importantly, myself.
But for the first time in a long time, I wasn't feeling strong.
