Father forgive me
02:46, 25 February 2016*Michael*
I wake up the next morning and I notice I'm alone in Roses room. I stretch out and check the bathroom and the rest of the hotel room to see if she's around.
She's not.
I start to get a little worried when I notice on the kitchen counter there's a note with my name on it.
'Michael, I'm sorry you had to wake up without me today, but I was called into the office to go over some things before we leave for Boston. I'm going to try my hardest to convince them to let me bring you along with me. If you feel lonely just go to my mothers room. She'll be happy to see you.
I'll see you later tonight.
Love always, Rosie. '
I close the note and go back into the room, and hop in the shower and get ready for the day. When I'm all dressed and ready I leave the room, and Bill is the first one to greet me.
"Good morning sir. Any plans for today?"
"Actually no. I'll be spending the day with Roses mother. You can have the day off. Go relax." I pat his back and he smiles, walking the opposite direction. I walk over towards Dalmas room and I knock on the door.
"Who is it?"
"Chico."
The door swings open and Dalma greets me with a huge smile. "Chico baby! Good morning, how are you?" She looks around for Rose and frowns when she doesn't see her.
"Rose had to go to the office today. It was a last minute thing. She suggested I spent the day with you."
She claps her hands and let's me in the room. I sit down in the living room and look at the tv, she was watching Good Morning America.
"Where's Curt?" I ask, starting to get nervous.
"Ay that nigga is out there somewhere. He wanted to talk to me today about something." She rolled her eyes, and sat down next to me.
"I hung out with him for a while the other day." I mumble.
"Oh yeah? How did that go?"
"It went well. We just talked about Rose. And you of course. He still loves you."
"I know he does. I still love him also, but I could never forgive him for what he did to our daughter. I'll always love him for giving me my darling baby but I can never get back with him again..." She sighs, and gets back up. "You must be hungry. How about some room service?"
After we ate we just sat around watching cartoons and talking about life for a while. The phone rings and Dalma answers it.
"Yes? Mmhmm. Yeah that's correct. Yes you can send him up. Mmhmm. Bye bye." She hangs up the phone and rolls her eyes. "Curt is here. Supposedly it's really important. You don't mind do you?"
"No not at all." I say, thinking about how we're going to tell her the news. I was nervous to say the least.
There was a knock on the door and I offer to get it. I open the door and Curt smiles at me.
"How you doin' brother?" Curt says, patting me on the back.
"I'm alright man. You?"
"Ah you know, same old same old. Had a good Christmas?"
I nod my head and let him in, closing the door behind me.
"Dalma." Curt says.
"Curt."
"Um, I need to talk to you. Well actually Michael and I have to talk to you."
"Alright." Dalma says, giving us the side eye. Curt motions for her to take a seat on the couch, and I lean against the kitchen counter.
"Well? Are y'all gunna talk or just sit there and look stupid?"
I look at Curt and he nods his head.
Alright, here goes nothing.

I'm sitting at the office looking up at the ceiling. These fuckers called me at 7 in the goddamn morning to have me come in and it's almost 10 am. Nobody is here yet.
I start counting the holes in the ceiling and I had gotten to 156 when the door opened, and Jameson comes in with Bradley.
"About damn time y'all showed up." I scoff, drawing on the piece of paper in front of me. "Took y'all so long I could've slept in longer. What's the deal?"
"Rose, we just talked to your former agent Rodrigo and he plans on suing you." Bradley says.
"Oh yeah I know about that. I heard about that shit on the radio. By the way, somebody stole my song and played it on the radio twice without my permission. I need to find out who did that. That song was not made to be released."
Jameson looks up from his notepad. "What song?"
"It's called Faraway Eyes. I wrote it a couple of years ago after I broke up with my boyfriend. I recorded it because it was stuck in my head and I wanted to get it out. I thought I had the only copy but I guess somebody make another tape of it." I sighed, reliving the moments of the song. How the song came about, and the person responsible for it.
"Well we'll find out from the radio stations where they got the tapes from. It shouldn't be that hard. But we need to talk about this new lawsuit on your hands. He's trying to clean you out of your money. What do you want to do?" Jameson says, flipping through some papers.
"I can't even deal with that right now. He is the least of my worries right now. What I'm worried about right now is this embezzlement case. Is there anything new?"
Bradley sighs and shakes his head. "Rose, the City of Boston called us a couple of days ago and we have to move the court date up."
I choke on my own spit as I replay the sentence he just said in my head. "The fuck you mean move the court date up?"
"Exactly what I said. Apparently they want this done and over with and they don't care what we have to say about it. You have to leave on the 30th."
"What? The day after Disney World? What about New Years? I was going to spend the day with Michael."
"That's the other thing, because of that we're allowing you to bring him, but he cannot be in the courtroom with you during the trial. We don't need anymore media frenzy as it is. We almost got killed just trying to get here, these paparazzi just won't quit." Jameson adds, clicking his pen.
"This is wild." I mumble. "When does court start?"
"Well after you fly up there on the 30th, you'll immediately be taken into the briefing room and have your preliminary hearing, then we have to fast track some other things during and after that, then on the 31st you'll be meeting with us so we can go over last minute details of the trial. You'll have the rest of the night to yourself but first thing on the new year, court begins." Bradley says, clearing his throat. "And we found out it'll be happening over the course of two weeks, maybe shorter than that, and after that... Well that's when we decide what your fate will be."
"I don't want to get your hopes up Rose but expect for the worst. These guys are really pressing for jail time. 20 minimum." Jameson says, for once looking sad for me.
I roll my eyes and rub my temples. God I need a drink.
"This is insane." I whisper to myself while Jameson and Bradley talk amongst themselves.
What else could go wrong?

I look at Dalma as she processes everything that we just told her. At first she wouldn't believe what Curt was saying. She thought he was bluffing but when he showed her the papers she was in disbelief.
"How are we gonna tell Rose? I mean she hates you, I don't even think I can get her to talk to you." She mumbles, running a shaky hand through her hair.
"I was thinking you and Michael could talk to her a little, and then I come in the room with all three of you guys. If she tries anything like leavin or something then one of y'all can make her stay. Once I tell her hopefully she'll want to talk to me. I just want to make things right again Dalma. I don't want any money, I just want her to understand me, and not make me regret anything." Curt says, his eyes rimming with tears.
Dalma sighs, and puts her hand on Curt's, making him look at her.
"I'll try my hardest to help you. She needs to know about this. But you can't get mad if she really does not want to talk to you." She looks over to me and smiles. "You'll help right Chico?"
I nod, and walk over to her. "Of course. I'll be right by your side."
"Great. Now here's what we should do.." Dalma starts.

John opens the car door and let's me out. I run into the hotel, trying to get away from the paparazzi and head into the elevator just before it closed.
I was standing in front of somebody and I didn't really care to know who it was until I heard them gasp in disgust. I turn around and I roll my eyes when I see who it is.
"Well, long time no see. How long has it been? 5 years?" I ask.
"Of course you're in the same hotel as me. Why aren't you in jail yet?"
"Why are you still trying to ride on your daddy's coattails? You have no talent anyways."
"Excuse me but I have plenty of talent you frou-frou no good bitch." She seethes.
I throw my head back in laughter. "You're just mad that you'll always be a nobody, and a slut, and I'll always be relevant no matter what." I look over her outfit and notice something different. "When's the baby due?"
She gasps, covering her belly. "How did you know?"
"I didn't, you just told me. I thought you were just getting fat." I smile, and the elevator dings, stopping on my floor. The door opens and I walk out.
I notice her looking at the ring Michael bought me and I smile, flashing it in her face. "You like it? Michael bought it for me."
"Michael?"
"Mmhmm. Michael Jackson? I'm sure you've heard of him, but you're always sucking someone's dick so you're probably not familiar with his work." I laugh, causing her mouth to drop.
"Always a pleasure seeing you Lisa Marie. Oh and close your mouth before flies go in there." I smirk, and waltz to my room.
I open the door and walk in to see my mom and Michael sitting on the couch.
"Hey guys." I sigh, taking off my coat and throwing it on the chair. "Have you guys eaten yet? I could go for some food and a drink right now, you couldn't not believe my day." I ramble, but I stop when I notice my mom is unusually quiet.
"Okay I'm used to Michael being silent but you? No. What's going on?" I demand, standing in front of them.
Before either one of them could say something somebody was knocking on the door.
"I'll get it." Michael jumps up, walking very fast towards the door.
"Mami? What's going on?" I look over to my mom and she's not even looking at me.
I hear someone clear their throat and I turn to see my father in the room.
"What do you want?" I roll my eyes. I can't be bothered by him right now.
"We need to talk. All of us." Curt says, placing his hat on the kitchen counter. I look over at my mom, then at Michael. They're both looking down at the ground.
"What is there to talk about? I don't have anything to say to you. You should've said something when you were controlling me a decade ago. I don't want to hear whatever it is you have to say." I calmly tell him, shocked that I was able to keep my cool.
"Rose. Just hear him out." Michael pleads, and I look at him sideways.
"Michael, I know you're not trying to be on his side are you? You don't know him from a lick of paint. There's nothing I want to hear, and that's final." I start walking towards my room but my mother stopped me.
"Rosalinda Racquel." Her voice was harsh, something I haven't heard in years. "You will listen to what your father has to say to you whether you like it or not. I don't give a fuck how old you are you will listen to me." She gets up and walks towards me, eventually coming face to face.
"Sit your ass down on this couch." She points. "Now."
Feeling like I'm 10 years old I stomp to the couch and plop down, not looking up towards the states by the three people in front of me.
"Do you need us to stay?" I hear my mom whisper.
"No. I can handle it from here." Curt says, and I hear my mom and Michael leave the living room and head into my room.
"It's nice being able to talk to you without there being lawyers present." Curt chuckles, and I just stare at him blankly.
He clears his throat, and pulls up a chair to sit down in.
"I know we haven't had the best relationship, and I'm sorry about how I treated you, especially after your mother went to jail. I should've been there more often, and I shouldn't have let Gisel treat you even worse. You know why I came back after all these years? Something was telling me to see you. I didn't know about this trial thing going on at the time, and I was going through some personal troubles myself. I still am to be honest." He sighs.
"So why are you here? What's the sole purpose of you being here?" I ask.
Curt takes a deep breath and looks me straight in the eye, something he's never done before. "Rose. I have lung cancer. I've had it for some time now, and the doctors thought it had went into remission but it didn't."
I sit up in my seat, slightly shocked about what he told me.
"It's more aggressive now, and they said that its terminal. I'm dying and I don't know how long I have left on here. But I don't want you to think I came here for your pity, or money because I don't want that. This is something I deserve for being so terrible to my only child. All I want is to go home knowing there's not bad blood between us. I love you so much and I'll have so much regret if I don't clear this with you. If you don't want to forgive me for this then I understand. I just wanted to resolve these issues with you, and I'll always be here for you. I'll be here when you go to trial also." He finishes, and we both had tears in our eyes.
I was speechless. All I could do was look at the ring Michael gave me. For some reason looking at the ring gave me a decision that I knew I had to make. I look up at my father and get up, and I give him a kiss on the cheek.
"Even though I could never forgive you for some of the things you've done, you made me the person I am today. I love you so much daddy, and we're going to get through this together. No matter what." I grab his hand, smiling.
He starts to cry and he picks me up, swinging me like a child. "You don't know how long I've waited to hear you say I love you." He puts me down and kisses my head. I look and notice my mom and Michael peeking outside the door, tears in both of their eyes.
"We can see you guys." I say, laughing. They come out and hug the both of us.
"Come on, Let's go eat. My treat." I offer, and we all leave the hotel room, as a family.
*Unknown*
"I don't give a shit what they say! I say she needs to be put in jail on counts of fraud, abuse, and harassment!" I yell on the phone.
"Whatever. Just make sure when she gets to Boston you do everything in your power to make it look like Rose is guilty. Yes, I have the forged documents, I'll send them off in the morning. I'll be flying back there as soon as this is over and she's put away. She'll be in jail for so long she'll think she's in another world." I snicker. The little bitch won't know what hit her when she gets tried. If all goes well she won't be out until 2012! By then everyone would've long forgotten about her.
It's all a matter of time before justice is served.

Yayyyyy Rose and her father are good again! I'm so happy lol. But boooo Unknown is back stirring up stupid shit. Ugh this story makes me so mad and I'm the one writing it!
