Chapter 6

New Amends

It was the day where Sasuke was going on his first mission with his squad. Putting on his shoes, Kotomi was putting on her shoes at the same time. "Good luck on your first mission, Onii-san!"

"Thanks. I'll tell you how it goes."

Kotomi's eyes sparkled. "Please do! I'm so curious!"

Letting out a sigh, Sasuke gave her a small smile. "You won't be disappointed."

Walking out together, the siblings parted ways. Sasuke was going to wait in front of Konoha's main gate while Kotomi was on her way to the academy.

On her way there, she started hearing a voice down a fenced alleyway. Curious, Kotomi started following the voice.

It ended up taking her to a man with white hair, leaning his back against the wooden fence. He had his mask down, revealing his face. Thinking he looked really handsome, a slight blush appeared on her face. The man put his mask back up, closing his eyes while letting out a sigh.

Lifting his back from the wall, he started to walk towards her direction, noticing that Kotomi was there. He blinked at her, not expecting to see a young girl there. "Who are you?"

Kotomi just blinked, starting to panic internally. "I'm... A student at the academy."

The man sweatdropped. "That's obvious enough. I meant what's your name?"

"My name is Kotomi."

"I'm Kakashi-sensei. It's nice to meet you."

Kotomi grunted. "You're my brother's sensei!"

"Brother?" Kakashi was taking a good look at her, realizing who she was. "Ah... You're Sasuke's little sister, aren't you?"

Kotomi nodded. "That's right!" She then realized the time. "It looks like I have to go or else I'll be late! And I shouldn't keep you any longer since my brother and his teammates are waiting for you."

"Right, right. Before we part ways, can you not tell my students what you just saw?"

"You mean your face?"

Kakashi nodded. "Yeah. I like to keep things private about myself."

Not understanding what he meant, Kotomi nodded. "I won't tell them." It's not like she was already holding in a deep secret or anything.

"Thanks, I owe you one. Later." With that, Kakashi disappeared from sight.

Blinking in sight, Kotomi continued walking towards the academy. She was happy that her brother had a strong looking sensei. It put her mind at ease.

At the academy, the students were outside, sparring one on one. Kotomi was watching one of her good friends, Tsubaki, fighting a boy with long brown hair tied into a low ponytail and gray eyes. They were naked neck, mirroring each other's moves. The match was over as Tsubaki fell to the ground.

Once the match was over, Tsubaki went over to Kotomi, rubbing the back of his head in pain. "That guy sure is tough..."

Kotomi's sight was on the guy Tsubaki sparred with, and then her gaze went on Tsubaki. "His movements were faster than the average ninja."

"I bet you could take him if you ever got a chance to spar with him."

"You flatter me too much, Tsubaki."

The instructor, Iruka-sensei, was about to announce who was sparring next. "Kotomi Uchiha and Konohamaru Saratobi. Please step forward."

The two kept their distance, waiting for their teacher to start the match. Konohamaru was just staring at her, looking a bit flustered. "I heard Naruto-niichan talk about you when him and I first met."

Kotomi looked surprised about that. "He talked about me?"

"Yeah. He said you're one of his first friends, and that you're really strong."

Kotomi remembered that he wanted to see what she could do. Naruto suggested that they spar each other, but it put him in shock to see that a little girl could beat him so easily. "I wouldn't say that..."

Konohamaru smiled widely. "I'll just have to see for myself!"

Iruka cleared his throat. "Begin!"

Konohamaru made the first move as he started charging towards Kotomi. She easily dodged him, both blocking each other's attacks. He was fast, but she was faster. He couldn't even land a hit on her while she was able to hit him several times.

With the final blow, Kotomi knocked him on the ground, her fist stopping right in front of his face. Iruka raised his hand. "The match goes to Kotomi Uchiha!"

Kotomi's fist unfolded, waiting for him to take her hand so she could pull him up. "Good match."

Looking somewhat flustered, Konohamaru took her hand as she helped him up. Now being close to each other, he was a couple inches shorter than her. "Yeah... I guess so..."

Kotomi gave him a smile. "I know you will grow stronger. Just like Naruto."

A blush appeared on his face, turning away from her shyly. "T-Thanks..." Tsubaki was watching the whole thing, feeling a hint of jealousy.

After the academy, Kotomi was walking home by herself. She knew that Sasuke wouldn't be home, knowing that he would stay about a few days on the mission. She didn't know what to do with all this free time.

"Um... Kotomi?" Snapping out of her thoughts, she saw three of her classmates behind her.

The one who spoke to her was a girl with light brown hair named Moegi. A boy with brown hair and a runny nose, Udon. And of course the boy she sparred with earlier... Konohamaru. For some reason, he was blushing while avoiding her gaze.

Kotomi's gaze was on Moegi, smiling. "Did you need anything?"

"Well..." Moegi was scratching her finger on her face. "We were wondering if you would like to hang out with us today."

Kotomi blinked, not expecting to be hanging out with her classmates she didn't really talk to. But it was a great opportunity to get to know them she thought. "Sure. I can hang out for a bit."

Moegi smiled cheerfully, grabbing both of Kotomi's hands. "It makes me so happy! We... Um, actually... Konohamaru here wanted to show you a jutsu that he learned from Naruto. Right, Konohamaru?"

Konohamaru nodded shyly. "Yeah... Only if she wants to see it."

Wondering why he was acting like that, Kotomi arched an eyebrow. "Are you alright? You don't look so good."

Konohamaru's face turned entirely red. He shook his head vigorously. "I-I'm good! A-Anyway! I'll show you the greatest jutsu ever! Are you ready?"

Kotomi snorted at his sudden attitude change. "Sure. Go ahead."

"Transform!" A puff of smoke covered him for a slight second. Once the smoke cleared, Konohamaru didn't look like himself but a... Really busty woman. "Sexy jutsu!"

Kotomi had a shocked expression, not believing her eyes. "What in the world?!"

"Isn't it great?!" Moegi asked with enthusiasm.

Shaking her head, Kotomi let out a sigh. "I'm going to have to talk with Naruto when he gets back from his mission."

Konohomaru transformed back into himself. "Why?! What's wrong with it?!"

"Where do I even start..?"

He started to pout. "I thought you would be impressed by it."

Kotomi sweatdropped. "What made you think that..?"

A blush appeared on his face, turning away from her. "It's nothing..." Raising an eyebrow, Kotomi just shrugged it off. She really wished Naruto was here so she could give him a piece of her mind.

About a few days passed, Kotomi was waiting by the main gate. She heard that her brother's squad was finally coming back from their mission.

Seeing four people walking towards her, Kotomi recognized her brother right away. "Onii-san!" Running up to him, she rushed in to give him a hug. "Welcome back!"

Slightly blushing in embarrassment, Sasuke quietly whispered this to her. "Not in front of them!"

"Sorry!" Letting him go, she noticed that he had a bunch of bandages all over his body. "What happened?!"

"I'll tell you later."

"Kotomi-chan! Good to see you!" Naruto said.

Kotomi smiled at him. "Good to see you too!" Her smile soon disappeared. "Question... Why did you teach Konohamaru and his friends that... Inappropriate jutsu?"

"You mean the sexy jutsu? It works like a charm!"

"Yeah the hell right!" The pink haired girl hit him hard on the head. "Don't teach younger kids that, you idiot!"

Naruto rubbed his head in pain. "Why'd you do that for..?"

Kotomi recognized this girl. Though it's been a while, she remembered her when she was waiting to pick up her brother, and became friends with Naruto that day. "Hello there."

The girl looked over to her, giving her a cheerful smile. "Hello! It's been a while, Kotomi-chan!"

Kotomi smiled back. "It has. I never got your name that time, but I've heard it from my brother. Sakura, right?"

Sakura nodded. "That's right! You're so adorable! You really do look like Sasuke's sister, seeing the two of you standing next to each other!"

Sasuke didn't say anything, Kotomi giggled in response. "We get that a lot. Do you want to be friends?"

"Of course!" Sakura looked really happy at that moment.

"Oh, Kotomi. Long time, no see." Kakashi said.

Kotomi went along with his sense of humor. "Long time, no see Kakashi-sensei."

Sasuke arched an eyebrow. "When did you meet him?"

"On the day when you were about to go on your mission. I bumped into him when he was on his way here. We introduced ourselves and that was that."

Sasuke let out a sigh. "Now you know who's all in my squad."

"I say that you're in good hands, Onii-san."

"I beat more enemies than that teme!" Naruto laughed.

"Shut up, usuratonkachi!" Not wanting to be there for any longer, Sasuke started walking away. "I'm going home."

Kotomi waved at the three. "It was nice seeing you!" With that, she started to follow Sasuke home. She couldn't wait to hear what happened on her brother's mission. But more importantly, she was glad that he was doing well in his squad. Even though he doesn't show it, she could tell that he enjoyed being with the people in his squad.

A/N: Kotomi officially met the whole squad 7! And she saw Kakashi's face before anyone did! There's an obvious love triangle between her and a couple of her classmates. Who will win her heart?
