Chapter 7

Lucas p. O. V.

I got up earlier today.. Not because I wanted to..because cabel made me to..I Sat up on the bed.. My eyes still closed a sigh escaped my mouth in frustration ..

" caby don't you know how hard it was for me to sleep..? Why  the fuck did you wake me up.. So early.. Would you care to explain..?" I asked really pissed.

"I know I know I am sorry.. But please.. Only today.. I promised helly to take you with me to the church.. Get ready quickly.."

cabel pleaded to me .. I let out another sigh as I got up from the bed.. When I came out of the bathroom after shower..

" hurry up luu.. Athy and helena already left " cabel said this annoying jerk..

" wait .. Or else go on your own.. "

I said bored as I intentionally slowly opened my closet and took out a white shirt.. When I finally got ready.. cabel dragged me outside with him.

We reached the church on the corner of the street and entered.. Helly waved to us as she reserved seats for us . We walked towards and Sat beside her .

Huh.. Where is she..? I looked around for sia and helly smiled at me like she understood what I am doing...

"she is there.."

she whispered pointing at the side where she is sitting in front of the piano.

"wow she can play that..?" cabel asked

"wait and see.."

she said with a proud smile.. Then everyone went silent when the priest started the prayer.. I didn't closed my eyes while  everyone sincerely prayed.. I stared at everyone praying Sincerely.. When we were kids.. Cabel and I used to pray like them in the orphanage .. Pfft.. We ask God to give us good family.. But not now... I think I don't deserve to do that...my damn mind  rewinding  the memories I want to forgot.. When I felt irritated and stuffy thinking about my past years .. I heard her singing.. I swear I never heard a voice as sweet and mesmerising as her's.

I turned towards her direction and what I witnessed was.. Wow..!! If only she had wings.. She would be the example of how an angel looks .. The sunrays piercing  through the coloured glass panels fell inside the church beautifully .. She was sitting in front of the piano.. The soothing music she played.. Her magical voice.. I can't take my eye off her.. I felt like my heart is melting hearing her voice .

I took my eyes off her after trying hard and saw how everyone is looking at her with heart eyes and bright smile..i am sure everyone is happy.. Yeah who wouldn't..? after hearing such a voice.. Time fled and when she finished, everyone got up from their seats.. She also came down and her eyes wided when she saw me .. In  surprise I think ..?

" athyy.. That's amazing..!!" caby shouted as soon as she walked towards us and she giggled.

"thank you.." she said and smiled.

She turned and stared at me.. whenever she look at me like this.. With that look.. which I don't know what it means... I lost to it..not  knowing  what to say or do I  just stare back at her.. Why she is always looking at me like this..? What's this  weird thing I am feeling in my heart..? '

"wow.. Wow.. Look at the tension in the air between them... Why I am getting flustered looking at them..?" Helly whispered as she is fanning herself and cabel smirked..

" I have this feeling.. That they will end up together for real.." he whispered back and they both giggled.

Athy and lucas turned back and looked at them confused as why they are giggling..

"oh my... Athy dear.. Who is this handsome guy..?" an old lady asked as she walked towards them.

They saw a bunch of middle and old aged women along with helly's mother standing before them..

"good morning.. Are you all doing well..?" athy said with a bright smile.. And they started a talking to her..

" so he is your boyfriend..?" a lady asked as she glanced at him from head to toe.. Cabel nudged lucas and they both bowed and greeted them.

" hello I am lucas nice to meet you all. "

He said and smiled.. Suddenly the group shifted towards lucas from athy and he stood their dazed.. Athy looked at him with a sorry face.. She managed to release him from them and lucas sighed in relief.

" look here young man... Take care of our athy well.. If you made her sad then I won't spare you.."

One of the ladies said with a stern face.. And lucas nodded his head like a scared child.

" those aunties are scary.. " lucas whispered and helena giggled.

" they aren't lucas.. It's because they like athy so much.. Most of them  wanted to marry her to thier sons.. May be That's why they are harsh to you..pfft.."

helena said and continued giggling .. Lucas stared at them talking to athy for a while

" Are they 'We love athy' fanclub..or what..? "

lucas asked in a serious tone still staring at them. Helena and cabel burst out laughing.

Finally athy escaped from them and they walked out of the church..

"guys.. Let's hang out since it's Sunday.. I am so bored.."

helena said and they dragged athy and lucas with them.

They had breakfast on the nearby restaurant and went shopping together.. Lucas face screamed ' leave me alone' when helly and cabel kept dragging him from floor to floor and athy patted his back consoling him as she walked with them.

"helly we will wait here.. Come back when you are done.."

athy said. She and lucas Sat on the waiting area, lucas gave her a bright smile.

" huh..why..? OK then I will be back.." she said and dragged cabel with her.

"haah.. Now I can breath well.." lucas said as he leaned back and let out a big sigh..

"I am exhausted..." he said .

"me too..here.. " athy said and handed him a chocolate milkshake

"wow.. Love you.." he said with a finger heart smiling and sipped his drink leaving a happy moan.. Athy stared at him

' he is saying  that may be out of habit but.. My stupid heart skipped a beat.. ' she thought as she sipped hers .. Both Sat there drinking thier milkshake .. Looking around in silence..

" when will she come back..?".athy said in a bored tone..

" shall we go first ..?" lucas asked.

"yeah let's go.. I am so bored.." athy said getting up.. As they walked towards the car they remembered those two idiots inside may need that .

"shall we just walk around.. And take a cab home..?" lucas asked

" OK.. Let's just take the bus.. It's been a while I used one.." athy said and smiled.

"hmm.. Let's go.."

he said and they walked around the street looking around at  everything..when they entered a crowded place.. Lucas felt something and looked down as he is walking and saw athy walking  behind him tugging to his sleeve with one hand.. A small smile appeared on his face and he turned to see her walking behind him looking around at everything with curious eyes like a child. he took her hand that is tugging his sleeve and holded it gently .. She turned and stared at him and then on their holded hands up and down .. A small tint of red appeared on her face.

Lucas glanced at his side and sighed..

' he is following us for a while now..but I don't think he was  sent by that old man.. Who is he..? And why it feels like he is  following sia.. Not me..?'

he thought and his eyes landed on a phone booth..

' If that was the case I should check it out  right..?'

he thought and walked towards it..

"sia.. Wait here.. I am gonna make a quick call.." he said and entered the phone booth..

'why he needs to make a call on payphone  when he has his mobile phone..? Well.. It's none of my business.. He must have his reaons to do '

she thought as she stood out looking around.. Lucas was busy with his mobile as he was trying to figure out who is that guy following him..he checked on him by hacking the nearby cctvs

' yess..found him.. .' he hacked into his personal data.

' Huh.. It seems there is not much info about this guy .. Let's just try.. ' he thought and his hand reached the receiver of the payphone...and inserted his card

'shit..why my card isn't working on  this..? Should I try using coins.. Coins...' he opened the door and looked out at her.

" Sia...Do you have coins..?"

he asked in hurry.. She reached out to her bag and took out a small pouch and gave it to him. He grabbed it in hurry and was about to open it then chuckled..

' pfft.. Is she a child..? This kinda looks like her ... Anyway all her cute stuffs are somehow useful..'

he thought as he opened the pouch and took out a coin.. He made call dialling the number on his phone screen .. When the person on the other end attended the call lucas didn't even needed to talk since he started talking..

"hello.. .i am telling you.. I am still following that blonde girl.. She isn't alone.. So I am on standby.." he said everything he wanted and ended the call.

'is he dumb or what..? He told me everything Without even before knowing who I am .. He made my job easy.. So I am right about them following her.. But why...?' he thought as he came out and handed her pouch to her..

" sia.. Let's go home" he said as he hold her hand and walked fast..

' what now..? Haah.. I don't know.. I also want to go back quick.. 'she thought as she followed him.. Lucas saw that guy following them now a bit closer.

' tch.. He is so annoying.. ' he thought. he noticed there was a library nearby and smiled

"sia.. Can you wait for me there.. I will be back.. and pick you up.." he said pointing at the library..

"OK.." athy said staring at the library with stars in her eyes.

" look.. Don't ever leave this building..or talk with anyone you don't know OK..?" he said cupping her face..she slowly nodded her head as a yes.

' haah.. Why did he suddenly did that..? I got flustered .. Is my face red..?' she thought as she caressed her cheeks..

" come.." he said and dragged her to the entrance.. When he safely dropped her at  the library he turned and saw that guy was only ten steps away from him...

'now let's deal with this annoying bug .'

he thought and smirked at him.. That guy realised lucas saw him and started running.. He followed him but stopped when he saw two men beat the shit out of him then took him somewhere in a car .. He turned and saw a man who have same eyes as his girlfriend standing there emitting murderous aura.. And the red haired guy he saw on the photo was standing beside him.. Lucas sighed in relief

'so they are after sia because of her dad... I thought it's because of me.. If this is that old man' s doing.. I wanted to sent him to heaven..' He thought and walked back to the library..

' where is she..? 'he thought as he roamed around the library and found her sitting at  the corner of the table her eyes glued to a book with a pile of books  stacked beside her.

' found you.. ' he walked towards her but stopped when he saw every guys in the library is staring at her.. He Sat beside her and moved the book she piled beside her a bit further hiding her from others sight. Those guys turned thier eyes towards thier books when they saw lucas's deadly glare. He sighed and turned towards athy..

'look at you... You don't even realised I am sitting beside you or those bugs were gawking at you.. such a bibliophile aren't you...?' he thought as he leaned his face on his hand staring at her

She giggled reading something which bring a small  smile on his face.

"is it fun..?". He asked

"hmm.. so fun.." she replied her eyes still on her book. She looked up at him surprised then smiled

"when did you come back..?" she asked surprised.

" you were preoccupied  with  your book so you didn't even noticed me .." he shrugged.

" sorry.. Shall we get going..?" she asked closing the book.

" no sorry no thank you.. Don't forget that. And.. Read how much you want I will wait.. "

he said as he placed a hair strand behind her ear.

" no...let's go.. I am gonna borrow them .. I will read them later.. "she said pointing at the pile of books  lucas used as wall..

" huh.. What's happen to the books ..? "she asked tilting her head.

" nothing.. Just shielding you.. Let's go.. "he said getting up and taking all those books.

" huh..? Lucas careful.. Give me some.."

"it's not that heavy.. you go ahead.."

he said and followed her. She borrowed the books and they went out of the library.. As they were walking on the sideways they saw helly and cabel behind them and they get on the car and went home..
