Jennie just twirls in her swivel chair while taking a phone call in her office while giggling. She's on the phone with Taehyung.

"So, what are you doing right now?" Jennie asked.

"I'm in the restroom. I think I can't do it, Jen." Taehyung answered nervously. "Baby, you can! Just think about how great and cool you are for becoming a judge. Do this for me and Archie too." Jennie said. Well, and for a little baby inside her tummy too which is still a secret.

"I can't believe you're making me do this. How can I get intrigued by it anyway?" Taehyung still disbelieves himself.

Jennie chuckled, "Well, you're drunk and I convinced you to apply for it. I sent the email on behalf of you while you said all the words you wanted to say to them." Jennie explained. "I wasn't saying anything bad or wrong, right?"

"I guess you're not, baby. I tried to create an appropriate sentence while you dictated to me." She said she still can hear Taehyung groaning.

Two days ago Jennie and Taehyung decided to have a movie night. Taehyung opens the bottle of their expensive wine while watching it. But, Jennie still declined to drink it. It's been a week since she kept her pregnancy to herself. After that movie night, Taehyung already got drunk. Jennie puts him into bed but he still doesn't want to be sleeping, so Taehyung accompanies Jennie to do her work on her laptop in their bed before going to sleep.

Taehyung kept talking about his job and his frustration about his work. Jennie got annoyed by his talk so she took a chance to open his email from her laptop and wrote an email to New York District Court for Taehyung to join the selection.

Jennie got permission from a drunken Taehyung and he said he wanted to put the words by himself, so Jennie just typed it for him. After that, Taehyung went crazy until today he got called for an interview in the courthouse.

"How much time left will you be getting a call to go in?" Jennie asked. "Fifteen minutes." Taehyung replied. "Baby, you have my support, and i already called your mom, she's so happy that you decided to take her path too. We all support you one hundred percent." Jennie keeps assuring him.

"Jen." Ashley suddenly popped out from the doorway. Jennie turned around to face her and raised her eyebrows. "What?" she whispered.

"Namjoon is getting us a new deal with Cinzel Pharma, he's on his way to their office right now. They're taking him to lunch." She informed Jennie. She just gives Ashley a thumbs up since she's still on the phone with Taehyung, she can't hang up on him until he gets a call for his first interview.

But, something's happened right now.

Bang Bang Bang

Ashley widens her eyes and goes into Jennie's office immediately. Jennie was taken aback by the loud sound.

"Jen? What's going on?" Taehyung from the other line can hear the bang sound.

Ashley and Jennie can hear sudden screaming around their office and Ashley takes a peek from Jennie's office window. She can see everyone is running in panic to find a safe spot.

"Jen, someone is barging our office with a gun!" Ashley warned her.

"JENNIE! WHAT'S GOING ON? TELL ME NOW!" Taehyung from the other line suddenly screamed at her.

Jennie's heartbeat stops. Her hands are trembling and she can't utter any words when Taehyung keeps shouting at her to tell the situation right now.

"Ta-tae, there's a gunshot at my office." She stuttered. Jennie is really scared right now.

Bang Bang Bang

Another gunshots can be heard again. Ashley dug from the office window when Jennie just sat there while holding her phone still in her ear.

"Tae, there's a gunman here. What should i do?!" Jennie panicked.

Meanwhile, Taehyung already left the courthouse as soon as he heard the first gunshot. He ran to his car where the driver was waiting for him.

"Hey, Jay! Give me your phone now! I need to call 911!" He shouted, and the driver gave it right away. Taehyung couldn't be calm if he took his car to Jennie's office. So, he ran to her office located fifteen minutes away from the courthouse.

He dial 911 with another phone he takes while running to her office.

"Jen, don't hang up, okay! Find a hiding place! I'm on my way, I already called 911. Jen, stay with me!" Jennie is still getting silent, but he can hear her loud breath. She gets a panic attack.

"Tae. . it's Fai. He's here." Taehyung widens his eyes. He decided to go with another plan.

Taehyung guessed right away that something must've happened with Fai that made him mad at Jennie and planned this. He still wants to ruin their lives. "Tae, please come, I'm scared."

"Baby, I'm on my way. Police are on their way." But, Taehyung has other plans. He calls his guy too from the NYPD to bring a sniper.

In Jennie's office, Ashley and Jennie got stuck at her office.

"Ms. Jennie Kim, you better show yourself before you take other people's lives here. You don't want to hurt your employee, right?" Fai suddenly spoke loudly from outside.

Jennie is scared but she knows he will come for her. She looks at Ashley who keeps making a sign to hide but she just sits there quietly while still in panic inside her heart. She's frightened with the situation right now but soon Fai will come to her office anyway.

Then, she can hear the doorknob about to be open and Ashley runs to Jennie and hugs her.

"Well, well. Hello, Jennie Kim." Fai puts on his evil smile while he walks into her office.

Jennie can see a gun on his left hand. Ashley is about to cry while Jennie has to brace herself. Her hands are trembling but she has to put on a calm face to not let Fai get her easily.

"What do you want?" She said coldly. "You know what I want. You."

"I think my threat was enough for you to stay away from me and Taehyung, Fai. you don't want to be put in jail again." Jennie said sternly.

Fai takes a seat on her couch beside the door. He rests on it calmly while looking at Jennie who holds Ashley that is panicking too. Ashley starts crying because she is scared, she doesn't know Fai at all.

"Ms. Choi, could you sit on another chair? I couldn't see Jennie clearly if you kept hugging her like that. You don't want to get hurt too, right?" Jennie's eyes get wider. Is he going to kill her?

"Ashley, sit across from me, okay? Just face me. Take a deep breath, don't look at him." Jennie persuades Ashley who's trembling scared, she takes a slow step to sit on a chair across Jennie's desk. Her face was already covered in tears.

"Fai, stop this. You don't want to ruin your life even more, right?" Jennie asked again.

Fai, take a deep breath and sigh. "I already got ruined, Jennie. You ruined me, remember? But, you think I don't know your game?"

"I don't play a game with you, ever." Jennie replied. "You make them hurt my sisters." Fai started.

"Fai, anything related to them or your family isn't my thing. I only spread the news and I was never involved with your old boss." Jennie explained. Something must've happened with Fai's drug boss. Jennie guessed they were trying to hurt his family.

"You make them know I have sisters. I've been keeping them away from me to protect them, yet you expose them, make a headline on the news that they involve with me!" Fai's voice started getting high.

"They hurt my sisters because of you!" Fai suddenly stands up and Jennie stands up too and takes a step back.

"She's on the nineteenth floor, her window is third on the left." Taehyung said to the sniper while eavesdropping their conversation from the phone. He is still on call with her.

Taehyung gets help from an NYPD sniper to take down Fai from the other building across Jennie's office. They try to find the target at the rooftop. There's about three guys coming with Taehyung at the building.

Jennie's office is already secured with a bunch of police downstairs. There are multiple police coming to her floor from the emergency exit but they don't want to barge the floor or Fai will shoot someone right away. He could shoot Jennie right away.

"Jen, please be strong." Taehyung mumbled to himself. He can't believe this is happening again. Another family member involved with this kind of thing again. He starts to think he's getting cursed.

"The suspect was holding a gun two meters away from a woman. There's two women. One is sitting on a chair and another is standing at the edge of the window." The sniper said.

"Which one is Jennie, Tae?" Another policeman with a binocular asked him.

Taehyung guessed Jennie must be with Ashley. So, those two women will be Jennie and Ashley. "On the edge of the window is wearing a tweed jacket and black trousers with a ponytail." , "That's her!" Taehyung said it right away.

"It's not my fault, Fai–", "YES IT IS!" Fai shouted. Now, he's angry.

"I don't deserve this. I don't deserve a treat like this from you when in fact I brought you to that case." Fai said and suddenly there were tears in his eyes.

He was really frustrated because his involvement with a drug mafia in Mexico put his family in danger. It's his fault but he still blames Jennie for making it all ruined.

"You are who deserves this!" Fai shouted and put up his gun to her, Jennie widened her eyes. Suddenly, everything seems to happen in slow motion.

When Fai put up the gun, there's a gunshot coming from the window beside her and shot Fai on the shoulder near his chest. There's a second shot to his right leg.

"The suspect is down, I repeat, the suspect is down." The sniper called.

Fai lay on the ground, his gun got thrown away and slid to below Jennie's desk. She's in shock while her mouth hangs open. It's her first time witnessing someone getting shot. Blood coming from his left chest and right leg. Fai's eyes still open in shock while holding his chest.

Jennie feels a pang on her stomach, she holds it right away, still statue on where she stands.

A multiple armed NYPD police barged into Jennie's office and secured Fai right away. Other police take Ashley out and try to approach Jennie.

"A woman got shot. A woman got shot." The police said to his ear to inform the team. "A woman got shot." Taehyung was shocked when the police beside him informed.

"Who!? WHO IS IT?", "It's Jennie." Taehyung who is still on the phone with Jennie's phone tries to hear the conversation between Jennie and the police. He gets out from the rooftop and runs to the elevator to approach her.

He can hear Jennie's talking. "No-no, it-it's not a shot. I-i-i'm not getting a shot." Jennie said to them. "Ma'am there's blood, the paramedics are on their way, stay with us." Taehyung guesses Jennie must be in real shock that she didn't realize she got shot. Good thing, she is still talking. He thinks where's the shot she got.

"It's my-my stomach." What? Jennie got shot in the stomach?

"Let us check, ma'am." The police said they tried to help Jennie sit but she just stood there holding her stomach while bent down a little bit, holding the desk. "No-no, i-i'm pregnant. It's the baby, I think I had a miscarriage." She stuttered.

Jennie said and she finally fainted. Suddenly, Taehyung's world stops for a moment.

After everything happened, Taehyung runs to her quickly but the paramedic is already with her and she's on the gurney about to be put on the ambulance. Taehyung entered the ambulance immediately and held her hand.

Taehyung was about to cry when he looked at her face. They're pregnant. They were about to have another baby but this happened. Jennie must be trying to keep it as a secret to surprise him, he thought.

"How many hurt?" Taehyung talks to Ashley. "One security who tried to prevent Fai from entering the floor and one associate who tried to fight him to not go to Jennie's office. They got hurt in the leg and shoulder, but they're stable." Ashley informed me.

Taehyung sits on a bench outside Jennie's room. She's stable but apparently the baby doesn't make it.

"Ashley, do you know about this?" Ashley knows what he meant, so she sits beside Taehyung and comforts him. "I was the one who noticed it. She's scared you still do not agree with having another baby since you always said to Jennie that maybe she still is not ready with all her paranoia."

"It's my fault. If i didn't tell her that, i could've known sooner. I could make her just quit her job, and protect her." Taehyung facepalming himself.

"Tae, don't say that. Day by day she is so sure you'll be happy about the baby because she kept telling me that she is always hinting at you about the baby and finally you said you want one, she's trying to find the right and perfect way to surprise you with the news." Ashley tries to assure him.

Taehyung never leaves the room, he wants her to wake up by his side. Until at night, Jennie finally opened her eyes.

"Baby? Jennie? Princess? Hi, it's me Taehyung." he caressed her head when Jennie just adjusted her eyes to be completely open.

Jennie just gets silent and looks at him. She is still fazed and needs time to process what just happened and why she's in hospital right now. Taehyung gets worried so he brings her dinner to her bed.

"They already prepared a dinner for you, you need to eat, princess." Taehyung prepares the food while waiting for Jennie. For about twenty minutes she gathers herself until she is conscious and aware of everything around her, Taehyung helps her to sit for dinner.

Jennie is still silent when Taehyung helps her eat her food. She's looking so vulnerable and can't do anything. She doesn't want to hold the spoon so Taehyung is the one who holds it.

Taehyung is scared that if he nudges her to do something, she will be in distress so he just gets silent too while helping her eat. He doesn't even dare to look her in the eyes because her eyes just look hollow while looking at nothing. One part of her body that moves is only her mouth, she can't deny she's hungry but she is still in shock.

"Tae." she finally speaks. Taehyung was startled because for the entire time he felt nervous and didn't expect she would finally talk. "Yes, princess?"

"I'm sorry." she said but still with her flat reaction. Taehyung was surprised and released the spoon from his hand. He sat beside her while putting his arm around her shoulder. "Hey, hey, don't be like that. I'm the one who has to say sorry. I shouldn't have told you about my concern so many times that made you scared to tell me."

"But, I should have told you sooner. I should discuss my feelings with you about what I feel about what you thought about me." Jennie said.

One thing Taehyung has been wondering about is that Jennie didn't panic nor freak out about her miscarriage. But, Jennie finally mentions it.

"The baby didn't make it, right?" Jennie looked at Taehyung, still in a flat reaction. Taehyung worried why Jennie looks so calm. He frowned and shook his head. So, Jennie hugs him but to their surprise the one who's crying is Taehyung.

After Jennie was hospitalized for three days to be observed, they finally went home. The law firm gives her as long as she needs to recover. She is still in need of grief for what has been lost. Taehyung got two months maternity leave from his office for recovery of what had happened to his family.

But, one thing he didn't expect is that Jennie just hid in Archie's baby room for days. She didn't speak to him that much, she just stared at the window blankly while sitting on a rocking chair with Archie. Sometimes she only played with Archie on his playpen, completely ignoring Taehyung.

At first, Taehyung felt that she's mad at Taehyung so one time he decided to talk about it with Jennie. At night, He check if Archie is in his crib sleeping and it turns out right. He's waiting on Archie's twin bed across the crib for Jennie to come out from the bathroom.

Jennie startled when Taehyung just sat there waiting for her. "Something's wrong?" She asked.

"No, I just need to talk with you. Sit." he tapped his side of the bed. Jennie just followed his order and sat. "You're not coming out from Archie's room for a week. You sleep in here, eat in here, and do nothing here. Are you mad at me for what's happening?" Jennie is taken aback by his words.

She shakes her head immediately and holds his hand. "No, baby, no. It's just, it's my fault. I drag you into this, with Fai. if i just kept my mouth shut and just left the case, we wouldn't be in this obstacle right now."

So, Jennie is feeling guilty for ruining a perfect blessing for their family. She can't face Taehyung and she feels sad too. She is scared Taehyung will blame her while she's grieving and completely break down for what has been lost.

"Jen, I never blame you for anything that happens. It's just what the universe somehow gives us, this obstacle. Don't you ever feel guilty." He caresses her head and gives her a peck.

"Let's go to bed, okay? I kinda miss you there." Taehyung offered but Jennie shook her head. "Can I stay here? I just feel so lost and I still imagine that baby Archie's presence really calms me down."

Taehyung didn't argue and agree with her, so he left the room and slept alone in their bedroom. It turns out longer than he's expecting, it happened for more than just two weeks. It's been a month and Taehyung is worried because Jennie is getting worse. She could scream from Archie's bedroom for having a nightmare, which leads to Archie crying because he's surprised. So, Jennie decided to sleep with him. But, she is still not doing anything in the apartment.

Taehyung did house chores, he did the laundry, vacuumed, and took care of Archie, he's now skilled in cooking and making dishes for them in the past two weeks.

Lisa, Jungkook, and Yoongi tried to visit them but Jennie declined anyone to visit the apartment, so Taehyung decided to meet them outside for lunch.

"She's in a bad place, really, really bad place." Taehyung said to them. "Have you ever been sleeping since that day? Your eyebags turn darker and your hair's a mess." Lisa said while checking him out from head to toe.

"I'm keeping my house stable. I feel like babysitting two babies, Archie and Jennie. She's so helpless and she literally can't do anything besides eat or play with Archie. I'm the one who helped her take a shower, she was completely lost." Taehyung told them, and they feel really bad for him. If ever they can help him but Jennie forbid anyone to be in their apartment. She hates pitiness.

"I guess we can't help you guys but I know something that maybe she can consider. I feel like she doesn't trust us to be on her side since she thinks we know nothing, but I know she believes in an expert. A couple therapy. I think it's best for both of you to find help from an expert, to help you guys define and fix what you feel." Yoongi suggested.

Lisa suddenly remembered something. "Oh yes! When her first miscarriage happened, Jennie went to therapy in Switzerland. She got really much helped from them, she really healed but not completely. At least, she's better and dares to go back home." Lisa said.

"I've been in therapy once. It really helps me too, but I never try couples therapy, I'm scared she will hide her feelings anyway and lie." Taehyung replied.

"At least you try. I guess a psychiatrist knows how to open up to someone, they call an expert for a reason." Jungkook added.

Taehyung considered it for a moment. When he got home, he searched for the best couple therapy in New York. For days he checked on many websites and found one. After that, his one hard task is to discuss it with Jennie. He was scared she would reject it.

When he printed the brochure in his study room, he heard a loud thud coming from outside and it's getting louder.

"Taehyung!" Jennie called him. She sounds out of breath. Taehyung immediately panics so he stands and grabs her shoulder immediately. "What? What? What's going on? Are you alright? Where's Archie?" He turned to a panic mode.

Jennie laughs and shakes her head. Taehyung was surprised. It's her first time to laugh in a while, she never shows any reaction to him.

"Uhm, actually. I take a case from Jungkook and Jin's old parents. I'm going to Washington with them in two days."

Taehyung just stares at her blankly. Suddenly, she's going to Washington after what happened to them? She's gonna leave him just like that?
