Ava's POV

So far a lot of things have happened, I've gotten to level 43, I saved this guild's butt and now they're treating me to a drink.

Honestly, I have no idea how I got here.

"Cheers!" They beamed at the same time.

"Um, I'm sorry, but how did I get here again?" I question.

"Ava, can I call you Ava?" The brunette, cheery girl asked.

"Uh yeah, that's my name..."

"Here's the thing Ava I couldn't help but noticing while I was looking through your character page..."

"I thought I had that set to private." I stated.

"That you are not apart of any guilds. So the gang and I (I call them the gang by the way) we were thinking that you should join our guild. You know, to thank you for saving us." She smiles.

"Yeah I'm sorry, I'm not gonna do that-" I was cut off.

Okay. Rude.

"Now I know what your thinking. Are you really worthy to join us amazing dudes?"

"I literally have never thought that about anybody in my life..."

"But let me assure you that we would be honored to have you in our guild. Plus, we could use someone like you. So powerful..." She sighed dreamily about who knows what.

"Hey, yo! Come back to earth pretty girl." I said waving my hand in her face.

"Right, right, so what do you say Avel?Can I call you Avel?" She asked."Wait, that sounds more like a boy's name.."

What the...?

"God no!"

"Hm I see so what if I put on this hat?" She giggles, opening her menu and putting on the accessory.

Are you serious?

"Oh don't be ridiculous-" I said thinking I pressed the no button when I actually pressed the yes button. "What did I just do?" I asked myself.

"To Ava! The newest member of the Red Rose Fighters~!" The brunette cheered.

DAMN IT !I thought in my head but sighed in the outside.

"So let me introduce you to the gang (I call them the gang by the way)-" She said.

"So I've heard." I mumbled.

"Him over there is Hiroki." She introduced me, putting her hand on the boy's head. He had light blue sliver hair with dark blue eyes. He stared at me but then blushed looking away.

He's kinda cute...

"That's Mao." She said pointing to the black headed girl with brown eyes.

"And that's Naoko." She told me. She had long brown hair that reach her waist and green eyes. She smiled at me.

"I'm Kaiya. The leader of this guild."She said proudly as the rest moaned.

"Please don't kill me." Mao mumbled.

"Wait what?" I asked her.

Why would I?..

"Uh yeah, Mao almost died five days ago so now she keeps thinking everything is gonna kill her and we're all gonna die." She said in a surprisingly cheerful tone.

"Okay....well I'm sure I'm not going to kill you." I usher her.

She stared at me for a really really really long while before answering back.

"How do you know that?" She asked.

"I'm don't know how to talk to you." I say from under my breath.

"It's fine. We'll do the talking. The one you need to worry about is Hiroki." Naoko chuckled, while pointing to him.

"Hey, I can socialize! I'm not that weak!" He defended himself. Everyone laughed. He got angry but then started laughing with them.

"We don't think your weak Hiroki, we just think your a very good shield." Kaiya laughed as she slapped him on the back.

HARD.

Then they both started Glitching.

"Sweet mother of Hera what the fuck?!"I screamed watching them as they stopped.

"Hey, hey, hey, it's okay!" Naoko calmed me down.

"Hiroki has a very beat up NerveGear so that's happens when you it him hard or if he falls. Or just randomly." She informed me.

God, that scared me.

"Hey let's try that again!" Kaiya cheered as she tried to hit him.

"Wait no-" He said and they both started Glitching.

"Oh god it's spreading! Everyone run for your lives!" The most stupidest person shouted and everyone started panicking.

Well that was awful as fuck but we made it out of there alive! People are very stupid. But as time went on I learned to act with my guild and actually enjoy them. There not the best fighters but they are kinda good. And for once in my life, I really had friends. I just realized how sad that sounded but oh well. Hiroki doesn't really like fighting and hates this world but he hopes to be able to see the real world again. I could relate to this guy. I like him. He's adorable in a scaredy type. We have much in common. Kaiya is crazy but cool. She's like that insane girl who is very social. She also really likes that hat. Mao still thinks I'm gonna kill her. Shes ah a little......what the word....quiet? I don't know. But today is my day off and I want to enjoy it.With no mortals bothering me.

As I was walking on my day off I got this message.I opened it.(Well no du what else I'm I gonna do with it).

"Hey Ava buddy my friend Hiroki kinda ran off and I have no idea where he is.Can you not be a jackass and track her down for me?Pretty please?I would help you but Mao is blocking the way saying if I go, I'll die.So yea."She asked.I snickered.

"Yea good luck with that Kaiya it's my day off."I scowled.

"And sense I know it your day off, I went ahead and added a little motivation pumpkin~."She says but I hear Mao in the distance yelling we're gonna die.

"Yea right.What could have you possibly done to do that?"I smirk but then realized I'm talking to myself.There was a button on the screen so I pressed it and it opened to detective mode and that......stupid hat!

"I hate that god damn hat!"I screamed.I ran off to find Hiroki.

-----A COUPLE MINUTES LATER-----

I found Hiroki under a bridge all alone, hugging his knees.

"Yo Hiro! Kaiya said you ran off-" I started saying but he cut me off.

"Jesus christ what wrong with you eyes?!" He screams looking wide-eyed at me.

"Oh right detective mode. One minute."I say opening my menu and turning it off. It......STARTED TO BURN LIKE CRAZY!

"That's brisk." I moaned.

"Is it supposed to hurt like that?"He asked as I sat next to him.

"I don't think so.Not if the game was made by a manic."I say.

"Well-"

"Yea I know."I sighed."So maybe I have like, I don't know, 4 minutes before I black out, So Hiro why did you run off?"I asked him.

"Because I'm afraid I might get everyone I loved kill."He cried. There was a long pause.

"Well shit I don't know how to mock that.Oh god that's never happened before!"

"Well maybe this isn't something you shouldn't mock."He said.

"Yea but then what's the point in other people if not to mock them?"I say in a matter of fact tone.

"I see why the guild think your a jackass."He mumbled.

"People think I'm a Jackass!?"I yell.

So I guess we just talked the whole night.Then I learned how I was being so mean to people, and we also talked about how he knows he's going to die.So I promised him he wouldn't.On my watch.

"Wow thanks Hiro.You opened my eyes.I've been such a jerk.Well not anymore!I'm a new person."I said proudly.

"So I guess now you go back to the guild."He said as I groaned.

"Hey didn't you say you were going to black out from the pain?"He pointed out.Oh yea....

"I guess I'm way tough that I thought-"I blacked out.

We got back to the guild where Kaiya had some news.

"Hey guys!I know we've been working really hard so I have some news.Bad and good."She scratched the back of her neck.

"The bad news is we're in dept. to the mob!The good news, there are none."She cheered.How can she be so happy?

"There's a mob in this game?"Hiro asked confused.

"Yea I may have took some money and now they want it back.So I have to take the money tomorrow and give it to them.But it's all of our money.So I need you guys to go to the 27 floor and get some money.But don't worry you have Ava on your side!And she's practically the best!"Kaiya said.

"Practically?"

"Ava-"Hiro warned.

"Sorry."I apologized.

"So what do you guys think?"Kaiya asked in a cheerful matter.Mao kept saying something about how we're gonna die.

"Well no offense but that's the most-"I looked at Hiro.He shook his head."wonderful plan ever!"I say forcefully.

"Thanks!It took me 5 minutes to think of it!"She smiled.

"See ya!"Kaiya said and teleported away.With that stupid hat.

"We really need to take that hat away from her."I sighed.

-----TIME LAPSE-----

"Wow we're not even close to having the money we did!"I groaned.

"Hey Ava did Kaiya even say the name of the mob?"Hiroki asked me.No.

"No.That daughter of a bitch didn't."I sighed.

Naoko opened a door and we see a chest inside.Who would fall for that?

"Cool!Free money!"Naoko cheered running inside.Really?

"Hey Naoko I don't think we should open that-"Hiro tried to tell her but it was too late.The door shut and the room turned red.

"We're heading to our deaths at Record speed!"Mao screamed grabbing her weapon.A black dagger.

"It might no be a trap.We maybe won a prize."Hiro tried to cheer us up.

"Oh yea the prize for being the most stupid people ever!"I say sarcastically.

Monsters started popping up at every corner.

"Great!It must be my birthday!"I scream.

"I thought you we're gonna be nicer."Hiro cried.

"Baby steps!"I screamed at him and charged at the monsters.

"It's okay!We can just get a Crystal from Nao."Hiro said.

"There not working!''She screamed but then she got sliced at her chest and exploded into crystals.

"NAO!"I cried fighting my way to Hiro and the rest.

"Naoko pass me a health position!"Hiro yelled at her but when she tried to get it, a monster attacked her making her fall back and shattering into crystals.

"NAOKO!"Me and Hiro cried fighting our way to each other.

"We're gonna have to fight our way out!"I yell to Hiro as I tried to reach for him.

"Okay.I'm scared Ava but I trust you-"He started Glitching when he tried to reach my way but a monster goblin sliced at his back.

"HIROKI!NO!"I cried running his way.

"Ava.Its okay, this isn't you fault-"She said that over again and again until he shattered into crystals.

-----TIME LAPSE-----

It's been days sense my guild has died.I'm all alone.

-----FLASHBACK-----

"I'm so sorry Kaiya.I've failed, I could have saved them!"I cried falling to my knees hoping she would forgive me.She stood there in shock not knowing what to do.Then she finally mumbled something.

"There all dead.Mao.Naoko.Hiroki."She mumbled so low I could barely hear it.

"I'm so sorry Kaiya!"I sobbed even harder.Then she did something I would never think she would do.She threw herself on the building falling to her death.

-----FLASHBACK ENDING-----

I sit there not knowing what to do.I feel like dying.I shouldn't be here.Hiroki and the rest should be alive.Not me.I promise him.Nao was right.I did kill them.I grab my sword and hold it to my chest.I'm sorry Hiroki.Tears poor down my cheeks as I get ready to die.But then, I get a gift from.............HIROKI!I quickly drop my sword and open it.

"Hi Ava!If your hearing this it must be Christmas!And I must be dead.Oh well.I knew that was gonna happened.Even if you did tell me I would live, deep inside I knew I wouldn't.But that's okay.You gave me hope when I was ready to kill myself.And I thank you for that.Y-You are the most amazing girl I have ever seen in my life, you weren't afraid to die and that made you stronger that anyone.I'm glad I go to meet you Ava Moore.So sense it's Christmas I think I might have sing you a song.I was a choir at school so please don't judge.(Start song now)"His sweet voice said and then he started singing.I cried and sobbed.Not knowing what else to do.I cried.He stops singing and I listened.

"So yea hope you like it.Good bye Ava.Thank you.Farewell."He said and the gift stopped.Tears were still pouring off my cheeks.But then I hear a knock on my door.My eyes widen.I wanted to yell fuck off but that would be mean.I promised him.I take off the tears on my cheek and open the door.

Kirito!I haven't seen him in forever...He had tears in his eyes from crying.

"I'm sorry Ava.I had no where to go."He cried.I let him in.

"What happened?"I asked him as we sat on the bed.

"M-My guild died."He cried."Someone I really cared about died with them.A-And I promised her she wouldn't die."He sob as he told me.I really don't like hug but he needed it.His story is just like mine.

"I'm sorry Kirito."I told him."That's not fair."

He looked at me and then noticed my tear stains."W-What happened to you?"He asked.I froze.

"I-My-guild-my friends died."I mange to say.

"I'm sorry Ava.Its not your fault."He says.Your fault.You fault.Your fault.....

I started to cry silently but then I felt someone hug me.We started talking about what happened to both of us.We decided to stick together.I guess I won't kill myself just yet.
