Chapter 60

"I ache!" I moaned as my alarm went off. "I don't so get up and shut up." Cody groaned at me. "It's your fault." "It means last night was good so shut up and stop moaning at me." I rolled my eyes and got up, I went to the bedroom and followed my usual daily routine.

"Morning!" I greeted my dad and Brad as I walked into the kitchen. "You're here early." I looked at him. "I brought Tommy over." "Why?" "We're looking after him today." Dad said, I nodded. "Well I'm not." "You will be when you get in from school." "I'm going out." I told him.

"Oh well, eat up and we'll take you to school." "We?" "Tommy, Lilly and I." He said, I nodded and carried on eating my pop tart. Once we got to school we all got out of the car. "Oh my gosh, that's Cody Simpson's little brother!" I heard someone, I put my arm around Tom's shoulders.

"This whole school is a freak show." I told him. Tommy laughed at me, I smiled and then left them as they walked into the building. "Hi dudes!" I greeted Jack, Paul and Dan. "Hey!" Jack and Paul said at the same time. "Hey, you wanna bunk Math again today?" I looked at Dan, he shrugged.

"What's up with you? You've been acting so strange all week." I looked at him, he avoided eye contact. "I'm just not in a good mood." "All week?" "Jheez Lauren! what does it matter?!" "Woah! Calm the hell down!" I defended myself.

"I'm not bunking today." "I guessed." I walked away from them. "Dude, you have to tell her." I heard Jack which made me stop walking. "I can't." "Before it's too late, you'll lose her if you don't." "Tell me what?" I turned around. "Not you." "Because you're talking about Mila Kunis.." I said sarcastically.

"You know, not everything is about you!" Dan raised his voice. "But this is and I know it." "You've changed, you're so stuck up just because you performed at an award show. You're nothing special, Lauren. You're an average person, you're nothing extra-ordinary." He said. That hurt. I haven't even done anything wrong, why is he saying this?

"Your boyfriend might be famous but you sure as hell ain't!" "I never said I was! I never said I was special and if you've even listened to me talk over the last week, you'd know I'm not enjoying being treated differently. I'm a teenage girl trying to get to where I wanna be in life. Thanks for supporting me, I thought you were my friend. My best friend. But I guess I was wrong." I turned around again.

"Lauren.." Dan sighed, I turned around again. The bell went just as he opened his mouth to talk, people rushed around to get inside. "Let's go to the bottom of the field." He offered. "Why would I go anywhere with you after what you just said? There was no reason to do that!"

"I want to explain, just come with me? Please?" I sighed and gave in. "Come on then." I walked past him, Dan followed. We layed down on the bank, I waited for Dan to talk. "First of all, I want you to know I didn't mean a single word of what I said back then." Dan started, I nodded.

"I feel like I've lost you, you only want me when we're at school or when Cody isn't there. Even then you find someone else most of the time, I feel like you've found a new best friend. Cameron Dallas. You're with him a lot and it's not fair on me, that used to be me and I did nothing wrong but you've just gone and I don't like it." He told me.

"He hits me up first, I don't text him all the time. You have to make an effort like that or I won't know you wanna spend time with me." "Can I tell you something?" "Sure.." "I don't want it to change us or how we are with each other. I can't let it ruin our friendship- Our connection." "It won't." I assured.

"I love you." "I love you too, Dan." I smiled at him. "No," He shook his head, he looked me dead in the eyes. "I'm in love with you." He said. My heart stopped beating. "I- Uh- You're in love with me?" "I have been for a long time. I'm sorry."

"You don't need to say sorry, it's out of our control who we fall in love with." "I wish I wasn't in love with you. It hurts. You're so happy with your boyfriend and I want that to be us so badly and now you've got more friends that are guys. It's too much for me, I'm about to lose you Lauren."

"How?" "You're becoming famous, within months you're going to be a celebrity and you won't have time for me." "I'm not famo-" "You're a model and you're starting your music career. Stop denying it, I know how much you hated Cody at the start of his career because of how cocky he was. I listened to you bitch about him for ages and I know you're scared of people thinking the same of you but you're amazing and the world needs to meet you. You can't be L.A's little secret forever." He said.

"I'm scared of people hating me." I confessed. "People will hate you." He told me. "But even more people will love you." He said which made me smile. "I promise you're going to get to where you wanna go. I know you very well and I believe in you." "Thank you."

"Just remember to thank me when you win your first award." He joked, I giggled. "I will." "Good." He laughed. "And I'm sorry that you can't have me." I said. "If I were to tell you before Cody, would w-" "Don't put me in that positi- Wait?! Me and Cody have been together for half a year." I looked at him.

"Yeah, I've kinda had a crush on your since we started here." He said, I laughed. "Why didn't you tell me?!" "Everyone knew you had a crush on Cam and he liked you too. We weren't allowed to have a crush on you, he told us you were his yet he never made a move. I was going to tell you when you got back from Bora Bora but you were with Cody then and you went to Europe for three months." He explained. "I'm so sorry." I felt bad as hell.

"Well hello baby." Cody greeted as I walked over to the tree he was stood by. "What's put you in a good mood?" "Seeing you." He smiled, I rolled my eyes. "Quit with the cheese, what's up?" I asked. "I'll tell you when we get outta here." He said, I looked behind me.

"Good bye to high school." I sighed. "You're gonna miss it?" He asked, I nodded as I looked at the building. "You've got a long path infront of you now." Cody looked at the building too. "I just wanna talk to Dan." I went over to where he was stood.

"Hey, I just wanted to uh- To give you this." I kissed his lips quickly and then smiled at him. I walked back over to Cody. "What the fuc-" "Shut up, I'll explain when we get in the car." I walked past him towards his car.

"You can't just kiss whoever you wanna kiss!" He started the car. "He told me loves me today, I couldn't just leave him there! I felt terrible when he told me about how long he's wanted me and I just felt like I had to do it. I'm sorry but if there was something to hide then I wouldn't of waited for you to be here to do it. That's why I did it in front of you so you'd know about it." I explained to him.

"I'm not sure.." "Cody do you really think I'd cheat on you?" "No." "Well then." "You shouldn't of done it." "I don't care what I should of done." "Reeeeaaaally looking forward to you going to this house party tonight." He said sarcastically, I scoffed and rolled my eyes.

"What are you wearing?" "Madison's coming around to get ready with me, we're gonna order a pizza and get ready together." "Do you want me to go home or what?" "You'll get bored but it's up to you." "I'll take Tommy out." "Okay." I smiled.

"And keep Lilly downstairs or at least out of my room, please?" I begged my dad. "Why can't she come in?" "Because me and Maddie don't want her to." "Actually, you don't want her to. I didn't say anything." Madison said.

"Just please!" I said as I picked up the two pizza boxes and went up to my bedroom. "What are you going to wear?" I asked. "I dunno, I bought some things with me but I'mma look in your closet too." She said and opened my closet doors and then walked in.

"You should wear these!" She held out my black, leather short skirt. "Yeah but with what?" I asked. "Come in here and help me, I ain't no personal shopper." She joked, I laughed and went in there with her. "I could wear this?" I showed her my blue crop top, she shook her head.

"Nah, that's too short. You don't wanna show too much skin. It's either your stomach or your legs." I nodded as I took in the information. "How about this one?" It was a shiny-ish silver shirt. "You could loosley, tuck it into the skirt." Madison suggested, I nodded and put the on my bed.

I returned with a slice of pizza each as we looked through the clothes for Madison to wear. "How about this?" I held out a tight, galaxy stars, short skirt. "I love that skirt!" Madison took it from my hand and admired it. I lauhged at her.

"I could wear this with it?" She held out a simple gray shirt. The shirt was a belly top but the skirt was high waisted so it wouldn't be too much skin showing. "Can I borrow these?" She asked as she picked out some gray boots. I nodded and picked up the boots I wore yesterday to dinner.

We took it in turns to have showers. I did Maddie's hair and make up for her. I applied some winged eyeliner as well as red lip stick. I then made beachy waves in her hair from just about the shoulders down to the tips.

Madison did my hair and make up for me after that. Madison did the same for my eyes but light lip gloss on my lips instead of red. My hair was straightened and then curled on the ends, we both got changed into our outfits and took pictures in the mirror and selfies.

I uploaded some on instagram and twitter, Madison did the same. "What's the time?" I asked, Madison checked her phone. "Half past seven, Nash and Cameron should be he-" She was cut off by the sound of the door bell. "On que!" I giggled and ran downstairs.

"Hi!" I opened the front door. "Oh wow, you guys look amazing." Cameron looked at us both. "Thank you." I smiled. "Alright, Dad?!" I called. "Yeah?" "We're leaving, see you later!" "Bye!" We left the house and started walking up the drive. "What's he doing here?" I paused as Cody's car pulled up.

"Why are yo-" "I need to talk to Trey." Cody said as he shut the car door behind him, I narrowed my eyes at him. "I do!" "You hate each other!" "Not anymore." He grinned and walked into the house. "I'm onto you!" I called after him as we began to walk again.

"Woah." I stopped at the foot of the drive of the house. There was people everywhere with red cups full of alcohol, blaring music and all kinds of pick up lines, dancing and talking going on between people. "Are you okay?" Cameron asked.

Nash and Madison had already gone in. "Lauren?" He clicked infront of my face. "Oh- Uh- Yeah." I smiled. "Let's go." I started to walk, Cameron caught my arm to stop me from walking. "What's wrong?" He asked, I shrugged.

"Don't leave my side." I asked him, he nodded. "We already settled this, I'm not letting anyone take you anywhere. I'll stay by your side and then I'll wait with you until Cody comes to pick you up." He reminded. "Okay, let's go." I took his hand and walked towards the house

"What do you want to drink?" Cam said in my ear, I looked at the booze which was on the top. "This." I picked up a bottle of some sort and popped off the lid. "Let's go dance!" I took a swig from the bottle. We danced and drunk until we had no energy left.

"Let's go outside, I need some fresh air." I grabbed Madison's hand and pulled her outside. "Hey girls." Some guy looked us up and down as we stood by the front door. "Hey." Madison smiled flirtatiously at him. "I'm Madison, what's your name?" She asked.

"I'm Andy and that over there is Greg and Harry." He pointed at two guys, they came over. They passed Andy a ciggerette. "You girls want one?" Andy asked, I shook my head. "I don't smoke." I was drunk but not that drunk, I'm not repeating what happened last time.

"Come on, gorgeous, you know you want to." One of the other guys came close to my face, he smelled like weed and alcohol. "I'm fine thank you." I stepped back, the guy caught me and pulled me forwards. "Don't move away from me, baby." He whispered.

"Uh, are you Greg or-" "Harry, I'm Harry." "Okay, nice to meet you." I stepped backwards again. "Want some of my beer?" He asked, I shook my head. I noticed Madison had gone back inside and the other two guys had gone too.

"I'm fine, I'm waiting for my boyfriend." "Damn." He stumbled a bit before catching his balance once again. "I'm gonna get you a drink, wait here." "No alcohol, please?" "Sure thing!" He said and then stumbled away. I got out my phone, I had twenty minutes until Cody was coming. I didn't wanna go back inside though.

"I got you a coke." Harry came back, I nodded and took it off him. I knew he was lying the second I swallowed the liquid but I really couldn't care less. "Thank you." "Down it baby." He watched me drink. I did as he told me to. "I also got you this." He held up a bottle, I took it from him.

"Have you ever smoked weed?" He asked me, I nodded. "I'm not doing it again." "I think you should." "I don't." I put the bottle in my mouth. "The way you drink from that bottle is hot. I love your lips." Harry winked at me, I smiled at him and carried on drinking.

"Try it, come on." He handed me the joint. "Uh-" I looked at it. "I know, let me blow it into your mouth." He suggested, I gave him a weird look. He took a toke and then pulled my lips apart, he blew the smoke into my mouth. "Now do it yourself." He handed me the joint again.

I looked at it for a while. What the hell?! I took a huge swig from my beer and then took a toke. "See baby, you're a natural." "I have a boyfriend, please stop calling me baby." I gave the joint back to him, he let out a small chuckle.

"Does he know you're here, with me? Doing this?" He asked as he tipped the bottle I had by my lips upwards. I drank the rest of the liquid. "No." "Well then." He pulled my lips apart again and blew the smoke into my mouth. "I want more." I reached for the joint and took a deep toke.

"Want more beer?" "I'll go." I caught my balance as I pushed myself off the wall and walked inside the house. I came back out with more beer. "You got us two each?" He slurred, smoke came out of his mouth as he spoke. "The first one we're going to down and see who drinks it all first." I said and passed him two cans.

"Alright." Harry agreed and we downed the cans, I dropped mine seconds before he did. "I win!" I jumped up and down." "You have to finish this now." He handed me his joint. "Maybe we could go upstairs? You're really hot and I'd love to get to know you." He winked at me.

I cringed at that, ew. "No. Like I said, I have a boyfriend." "He doesn't have to know." Harry brought his face closer to mine, I moved backwards. "What did I tell you about moving away from me?" He pulled me back. I put my hands on his chest and pushed him away.

"Kiss me?" He whispered, I shook my head and moved my face away. "Do it. Your boyfriend isn't here and won't know." He pulled me even closer. "Dude, leave her alone." I heard Nash's voice, thank you Nash!

"Nash!" I wrapped my arms around his neck. "Woah, how much have you had to drink?" He caught me before I fell over. "Just like maybe a lot." I shrugged. "Cameron sent me out here to make sure you were alright." "I'm good, I was just talking to Harry. He's cool." I nodded my head.

"Well you're done talking to him and you're done with this." He took the joint from me. "Wha- Hey!" I reached for it. "You shouldn't be in this state. Cody's gonna get mad." He told me. "He won't be mad at me." I laughed, Nash laughed at me.

"You're soooo drunk." He laughed again before catching me from falling once again. "I'm having fun!" I started to dance around. Cody's car pulled up and he got out. "Cody!" I yelled and ran to him, I fell into his arms. "Happy to see me o- You're drunk as hell!" He noticed.

I laughed and pushed him playfully. "Nah, I'm just chilling." "And you're high?" He wasn't impressed, I laughed again. "I swear I had no idea what she was doing, Madison came and told me she was talking to some guy and then I found her out here with him." Nash pointed at Harry.

"Get her in the car, I'm going to talk to him." Cody said and walked over to him. "I'm not getting in there." I scrunched my face up, Nash lifted me and sat me in the car. He leant over to do up my belt for me. "Getting a bit friendly there, Nashy." I tapped his head.

Nash laughed at me before closing the door and walking over to Cody. They talked for a while and then came back and got into the car. "I love you, CoCo." I slurred as I watched him drive. "Sure." "I really love you." I ran my hand down his arm.

"I'm going to say this now, if you annoy me then I'll take you home to your parents and Trey." He warned me, I sat up. I mimed zipping my lips and locking it and then I undid the car window and threw the key out before closing the window again. Cody laughed at me, I grinned.
