23. Prom

14:11, 30 June 2014

Ava got to her room and watched herself from the mirror. Her hair was curly and open, as always. She blinked her eyes and as she opened her eyes she noticed a figure behind her. She turned quickly but she didn't see any one. She was glaring the room with her eyes in panic. She wasn't really in the mood to meet Silas right now. She was leaning on the drawer and she was squuezing it until her knockles were white. Never had Ava been this scared of something. But when it was Silas, she did not know what to expect. She wanted to always know every fact on someone, like she had known of Klaus.

"Hello?" she asked and then staightened her back. There was no answer so she didn't bother to look around. She got to her closet. It was quite large and she had collected a lot of shoes and outfits in there. She had decided to get to the prom, to watchout Silas of course.

Ava took a black dress and beige spiked high heels. Her dress ended just above her knees and it had a turtle neck, long arms but it had cuts that revealed her shoulder's. It was tight and it left no imagination. She placed her feet in to the heels and got back to the mirror. Quickly she corrected her make up and ran outside from the house. She had grabbed her car keys and was now sitting in her convertible. Her hands were shaking she didn't know why, but she knew she needed to get to people.

"Ava what are you doing here?" she heard Damon whisper. He sounded mad but Ava ran to him. They were in the white tent and people had huge princess dresses and their's compared to Ava's, well, let's just say that she was the loser.

"I need to tell you something," she whispered but before she could finish her sentence Elena appeared on to their side.

"I don't think you are allowed to be here Ava," she said and crossed her hands. Elena raised her eyebrows and Ava had a slight temptetion to compel the girl.

"You don't tell me what to do," Ava stared her in the eyes and used her compulsion to make her quiet. Elena looked shocked again.

"I can compel you little girl. Behave or I may compel you to do something much more horriffic," Ava said and smirked to her. Elena tried to say something and Ava raised her eyebrows.

"I didn't think so Elena," she said and turned back to Damon who was standing there with a quite amused face. Ava slapped him gently on the arm.

"This is serious," she said and in that minute Elena was dragged away with Stefan. Ava glared around so there was no vampire trying to hear them. She leaned closer to his ear.

"I can feel Silas here. Watch out I can feel he has it out for you."

Damon drew away from her and stared her straight in her eyes. Ava looked at him worried and walked away from him. She saw Bonnie watch her closely. Ava avoided Bonnie's eyes but she felt her start to move to her way. Ava tried to move through the crowd but Bonnie catches her by the arm. Ava felt a shock when Bonnie touched her. She knew Bonnie felt it too. They watched each other intensively, like there was a connection between them.

"Your eyes," Bonnie started, "they're golden."

Ava turned her head away from facing Bonnie's. She ripped her arm out of Bonnie's grip and started to walk towards the outside. She saw Rebekah move in front to stop her. Bekah took her head to her hands and studied her eyes. Ava tried to avoid looking to her. Rebekah snorted and Ava stared her straight in the eyes.

"Rebekah let me go," Ava said and took Rebekah's hand off of her face. She stormed outside holding her hand on her eyes covering the golden shades of her eyes. When she got out she drew deep breaths and tried to stop herself from crying. She bit her lip so hard it started to bleed. Her state of mind wasn't stable, nothing in her was stable. She was a train wreck. She wiped few tears away from her cheeks and stared at the woods. She heard Stefan grunt in pain and with her vampire speed she was there in no time.

"Stefan?" she asked as he whined in pain she saw a stake sticking out of his stomach. Ava kneeled down and pulled the stick out of his stomach. He sighed relieved and started to get up. Ava saw Damon ran to them, she smelled blood on their clothes.

"It's Silas," he said and Stefan nodded.

"I know, he attacked me too," Stefan said and held Ava from the shoulder. She kept him up.

"Are you okay?" Ava asked from him and Stefan nodded. She saw Damon standing next to the tree Stefan was leaning on. He looked at Ava who was helping Stefan stand on his own. He got up and Ava glanced at Damon who instantly looked away. Ava's senses got heightened when she smelled blood, human blood. She noticed Damon and Stefan realize the same thing. She glanced to them and sensed magic. She vanished from the Salvatore brothers sight.

She got to the parking lot, Stefan and Damon not far behind her. Bonnie had her expression on and Elena was on the ground whining for hear head. Elena's nose was bleeding and Bonnie wasn't controlling her magic Ava took a step forward but felt Bonnie make her freeze.

"Bonnie stop!" Ava shouted and Bonnie shook her head.

"She tried to kill me!" Bonnie shouted but it blended in on Elena's painful screams. Damon and Stefan started to reason Bonnie out of it but she kept her expression on. Ava knew what she had to do. She walked closer to Bonnie and grabbed her by the hand. Bonnie tried to struggle but stopped hurting Elena.

"Bonnie, you feel that?" Ava asked and smiled little.

"I've never felt it with you before," Bonnie said and stopped struggling. They had a connection. Ava felt Bonnie's powers run through her and Bonnie felt Ava's. She stared Ava in the eyes and Ava's eyes turned to gold.

"I don't know why I can feel it," Ava gasped and Elena had ran to Damon and Stefan. Bonnie breathed in and sighed from relief.

"I'm in control," she said quietly and left the scene. Ava turned to Elena and narrowed her eyes on her. Damon and Stefan stared at Ava and held Elena. Ava noticed Damon pull out a vervain shot from his pocket. She moved her look from that to Elena. Damon yanked it on to her neck and Elena got a small high voice out of her throat before she collapsed. Ava swallowed loud and stared at Elena.

"I hope you know what you're doing," she said and walked to them.

"You know where to find me," she whispered and walked past them. Let them deal with Elena on their own for a change.

Ava walked a long the road getting to her car. It was really silent, everyone was at the after party. She felt a shadow move behind her. A cold wind blowed her hair. She knew exactly who was behind her.

"Silas," she said and heard a dark and silent chuckle.

"How did you know?" he asked in a familiar voice. Ava stayed facing her car.

"I felt your presence," she said simply. She opened her cars door and got in. A figure got to the passengers seat and Ava glanced to it. She looked Silas from head to toe.

"You don't seem shocked that I look like your friend. How is that?" he asked and crossed his hands. Ava chuckled and started the car.

"I got a connection with my past self," she said and started to drive further away from the prom place. Silas was studying her.

"With Cassia?" he asked like to make sure.

"No with Amara!" she shouted. "Of course with Cassia, I am Cassia. I guess. It just feels like we are a different person."

"So you know...?" Silas asked carefully.

"That we were friends? Yes. That I think I had a crush on you, yes. I got over it with Solomon, yes. You didn't like Solomon, yes," she said, "did I forget something?"

Silas looked at her amused and tapper her knee.

"Well there happened much more, but I'm not going to tell you my leverage am I?" he asked and vanished from the car. Ava was soon to arrive to the Salvatore boarding house and she assumed that Damon and Stefan were already there. She parked her car near the house and got to the house with her super vamp speed. Inside the house was Stefan and Damon both sitting on the couch with drinks on their hands. She walked to them and crossed her arms.

"Well?" Ava asked and they both turned to her.

"What?" Damon asked irritated.

"What did you do with her?" Ava asked still having a strong stand.

"None of your concern," he said which made Stefan get up from the couch.

"Where are you going?" Ava and Damon asked at the same time.

"You clearly have something to solve. I'm going to sleep," he said and left the living room.

"She is very difficult," Damon finally said. Ava got to him and sat down. She took a bottle of whiskey and drank from it.

"We are," Ava said and smirked.

"Petrova girls are," Damon said. Ava lifted her legs to the small sofa table.

"I meant vampires without humanity. Maybe the Petrova line has something to do with it," she laughed.

"You're with her?" Ava asked with a bump in her throat. She poured the whiskey down her throat and closed her eyes. Damon was quiet for a long while.

"I was," he whispered. Ava bit her lip to stop the tears. She had her feelings so overwhelming, like she was a new vampire.

"Does she love you?" Ava asked.

"I don't know anymore. She was sired to me," Damon said with sadness in his voice. Ava could not help but smile a little.

"I'm really sorry," she said and coughed. No she wasn't.

"How about you and I get drunk like the good days?" Ava asked and Damon made the slightest nod.

"Great! Stefan!" Ava shouted. Damon frowned his eyebrows.

"What? The more the merrier."
