Chapter 29:

Mao rushed over to me quietly before tugging at my hand and pulling me up. "Leader-sama-kun needs you now!" She whispered/yelled. I nodded and allowed her to pull me through the hallway to Leader-sama's office.

She knocked on the door before opening it and pulling me in. She then turned towards Leader-sama and Konan before bowing, I turned and bowed also. 

"You called for me, Leader-sama?" 

"Yes. I am sending you out on a mission. Itachi and Kisame are currently at the sand. They had gone to gather information about the new Kazekage, also known as the one tails. You are to go to the Sand and rendezvous with them. You are then to help gather information and report back in three days. Go now." Leader-sama said. 

I tensed up, I felt Mao tense up beside me also. I'm suppose to go to the Sand and spy on Gaara? And Gaara is the new Kazekage? And I'm suppose to go to the Sand? Did I hear that correctly? Well, shit. 

"Is there something wrong?" Leader-sama asked. I shook my head, Itachi told me he was going on another mission...

"I'm just confused, Itachi informed me about his mission. This is different from the one he told me about." I confessed. Leader-sama nodded. 

"I changed the mission they were on." Leader-sama explained. I nodded and then bowed. 

"I will leave after I gather my supplies. Konan, will you be able to train Mizuki when I'm gone?" I asked while turning towards hrt. Leader-sama slammed his fist on his desk making Mao jump. I raised an eyebrow at him, what's his problem?

"Mizuki is your responsibility, no one else" Leader-sama said while glaring at me, I was rather intrigued by his eyes. Though I snapped out of my traces and sighed inwardly.

"Konan had informed me that when I will be going on missions, she would put Mizuki to work. I understand that and I agree whole-heartily. Though since I will be going on missions I need someone to train Mizuki for the time being. He does what he is told to, then after he needs to train." I explained. 

Konan stepped forward. "I understand, and yes. In order for this organization to be stronger, we need each member to be strong. I've watch you and Mizuki train and I understand what he needs. Go now."  Konan said. I nodded and bowed before walking out, Mao trailing behind me. 

Once we were down the hall, Mao exploded. 

"WHAT THE FUCKING HELL?! HE KNOWS YOU JUST CAME BACK FROM THERE! MAN WHAT A TOTAL DOUCHE. THIS ISN'T FAIR. HOW WOULD HE LIKE IT IF I TOLD HIM TO GO BACK TO THE VILLAGES THAT HE DESTROYED WITH ALL THE PEOPLE HE LOVES AND CARES ABOUT AND SPY ON THE LEADER WHICH WAS HIS EX LOVER?! LIKE DAMN, HOLY FUCKING SHIT WHAT'S WRONG WITH HIM?!" Mao yelled. 

I watched her from the side of my eyes, not letting any emotion show. I understand why Pain is making me go, he's testing the waters. Seeing if I'm strong enough, seeing if I'm trustworthy.

"Mao, calm down. It's okay. I'm fine. When Mizuki and Sora wakes up, please explain the mission to them. Also, Ookami will explain what happened with Kakashi when he comes back. I must go now." I said before transporting myself outside. I already had everything pack, I didn't really need a lot of stuff.  

Ookami trotted up beside me. "I heard what's going on." He said while nudging my head with his. I sighed as I petted his head, my hand slipping through his soft fur. 

"Yeah, please explain what happened with Kakashi to Sora and Mao.. I'll be home soon, I want you to stay here and keep an eye on those two. Well also Senju." I said. Ookami nodded before walking towards the front door. 

"Don't die." He said before disappearing into the house. I nodded, not like he could see me and started running, since I knew where the Sand was I was about to transport myself there in a matter of time. 

How am I suppose to find Itachi and Kisame? I sighed, the gates was about 100 meters ahead. Am I suppose to just wait till they find me orrr? I sighed again before walking towards the gate, I believe they're inside the village, well here goes nothing. 

I finally got to the gate, I saw someone walking up towards me so I stopped. Also the person got closer, I finally saw who it was....Kankuro. His eyes widened when he saw me, then it turned into a glare as he reached for the Crow. It came fast towards me, luckily I keep my sharingan activated on missions otherwise I would've gotten caught. 

My Sharingan was in it's third stage, it's alright I guess. Sasuke is one stage above me. Sora already had her Mangekyou Sharigan. The third stage was pretty cool, I was able to react much faster to counter attacks. 

I smirked underneath my mask, whenever I fought Kankuro he would always "go easy", so now that he's pissed at me and probably wants to rip my guts apart, he'll fight me with all he got. 

"Why are you here?! Trying to ruin Gaara even more than you have? Kosuke? Naruto?" Kankuro snarled. I raised an eyebrow before sighing. I looked past the gates to see everyone dressed in black.. Today was a funereal.

"It's Sora's and Mao's funereal. Kakashi finally found their bodies where you decided to hide them. You're sick you know that? You're a fucking monster. How could you do that to your own sisters?" He asked as the Crow tried to attack again, I blocked it easily before jumping back. 

Kakashi.. Thank you. 

(KANKURO'S POV) 

"They were never my sisters." Rai said emotionlessly. She was always able to hide her emotions well, that's what got us all trapped in her game. I'm beyond pissed, she killed Sora and Mao.. Our Sora and Mao, the one's who cared for everyone, the one's who died to protect the Sand. 

And that's unforgivable.  The gate guards called me when they spotted someone out in the desert wearing an Akatsuki's cloak. Which turned out to be Rai. 

"They were your sisters! Blood related or not!" I yelled back. How could she say that about Sora and Mao?! Ungrateful little brat. My blood started boiling, she's going to pay!  

(TEMARI'S POV)

"LADY TEMARI! RAIN UCHIHA! SPOTTED BY THE GATES!" Someone yelled. Rai!? She's here! What the hell is she doing here! I growled under my breath and grabbed my fan, people started chattering. Today was Sora's and Mao's funereal. Lady Hokage and all those close to the two came to the sand. They all stared at the Sand guard in shock. 

Kosuke was the first to make a move, he darted towards the gate, sword in his hand. Gaara darted after him, then Naruto, and so on. Shikamaru grabbed my hand and dragged me along.Terrible, this is terrible. Why did she have to come back?

As we got up to the gates we saw Kankuro and Rai fighting. Kankuro was using the Crow while Rai was just dodging every attack, her eyes activated. When Kakashi and his team came back from their mission, they found Sora's and Mao's body and told us about how Rai was actually an Uchiha. And that Sasuke and Itachi Uchiha was her brothers. 

"Kankuro, stop." Gaara ordered. His face showed no emotion as he walked towards Rai, Rai stepped back before giving us a closed eye smile I presume. I couldn't tell really because of her mask..To hell with her. My grip tightens on my fan, she deserves to die. She killed Sora and Mao, that's unforgivable. 

Kosuke ran towards Rai, sword swinging at her wildly.

"HOW DARE YOU COME BACK? YOU KILLED THEM, YOU DESERVE TO DIE. HOW COULD YOU KILL THEM, YOU MONSTER?! YOU BITCH, I'LL KILL YOU. GO ROT IN FUCKING HELL." Kosuke yelled as he attempted to strike at Rai. 

She dodge every attack, sand started sneaking it's way towards her. Gaara's sand. 

Rai noticed the sand before Gaara could attack, she jumped out of harms way before Sakura threw kunai's at her, she manage to block them perfectly. Damn her and her sharingan, I clenched my teeth together, think Temari think!

(RAI'S  POV)

Man that was extremely harsh.Though, I don't blame him. I landed perfectly crouched down on the ground before standing up. Their attacks aren't focused, they're getting reckless. 

I looked around seeing all the rookies from the leaf, plus TenTen, Neji, and Bushy Brow, also all the Senseis and Lady Hokage are here also. 

Gaara walked up. "What are you doing here?" He asked calmly, though his whole body was tensed and his arms were crossed. I smiled to myself, he has matured a lot. I shrugged. Gaara's eyes narrowed before sand shot out all around us creating a barrier. 

"What. Are. You. Doing. Here?" He asked, his tone cold and bitter. I shrugged again. Gaara couldn't hurt me with his sand and he knows that. I can't use my sand either right now, sand isn't effective. 

"I can't let you harm the village." He said as he took out a kunai. I mirrored his actions and stood in a fighting stance. 

"NOW." 

The sand swirled around me, getting into my eyes. I shielded my eyes before I felt someone coming from my right, then left, in front, in the back. They're going to try to block any escape. I smirked, Shikamaru probably thought of this plan and Kosuke relayed it to everyone. Nice. 

I did hand signs before water swirled around me, turning the sand into water. I now had a clear view of what's happening. Kosuke was on my right, Shino on my left, Gaara in front, and Naruto behind. They all glared at me. 

"WHY WOULD YOU KILL THEM?" Naruto shouted. His eyes was bloodshot, from crying to much. I felt a pang of guilt before I sighed to myself and turned towards Naruto. 

"They didn't follow the plan. They wanted to stay and protect the Sand. In result. They died." I replied while shrugging again. Naruto started getting angry, I can feel his tailed beast. Uh oh, this is bad. I sat down criss crossed right where I was. I started focusing on Kurama. 

"Kurama, connect to your other half. Tell him to calm down." 

No one responded back, I sighed before looking up at Naruto. Sakura was next to him calming him down. Though it seemed to just piss him off even more. I sighed again before standing up, this is a drag. 

I transported myself behind everyone and knocked them out. Works like a charm. Everyone was knocked out expect the Senseis, Lady Hokage, and Hinata. I looked up at them before walking towards them. 

"You found their bodies huh?" I asked Kakashi, he nodded. I sighed before turning towards Hinata, she was shaking and staring at me. 

"R-r-rai?" 

I walked towards her as she backed away. She looked at me, horrified. I walked up and held my hand up. She was about to burst out crying, I pulled down my mask and smiled gently at her. 

"Hina-chan. Look after everyone okay?" I said as I poked her forehead. She looked at me shocked, I pulled my mask back up before turning towards the Senseis and Lady Hokage. 

"I was sent here on a mission, Pain is planning to do something to Gaara. Guard him well." I informed them before turning away. I sensed Itachi's and Kisame's chakra while I was inside Gaara's sand barrier. 

"Rai!" Lady Hokage called out, I paused and turned around. 

"Take care of yourself." She said with a sad small smile. I nodded before I sensed two other chakras beside me.. Itachi and Kisame. 

"Rain." Itachi said as he leaned down and kissed my forehead. I grabbed Itachi's and Kisame's hands before transporting us all out of there. I transported us to a forest, probably about a day away from the base. 

Itachi pulled me into a hug as silent tears rolled down my cheek. I couldn't hold it in anymore, seeing all of them again. The fear and hate in their eyes made me sick, though I was the one who brought this onto myself. 

"Shh, it's okay." Itachi whispered into my ear as he held me tighter. I started sobbing, this is the first time I broke down after what happened at the Sand. Itachi sat down and cradled me in his arms. Kisame stood there awkwardly before sighing and walking away. 

"I-I-Itachi." I whimpered. He started rocking me back in fourth humming. I started calming down after a little. The song Itachi was humming reminded me of the song Sasuke used to hum when he thought no one could hear him.. I miss Sasuke so much. I breathed in and out before humming along. 

When Sasuke found out that I could hear him, he made me promise not to tell anyone, I bargained with him. I told him if he taught me the song, I'll promise not to tell anyone. He agreed and explained that it was the Uchiha Clan's song. It was beautiful.   

"How do you know that song?" Itachi asked, his tone gentle after the song ended. I buried my face into his chest breathing in his scent. He smelled really good, like really really good. 

"Sasuke used to hum it here and there. I caught him a couple of times and threaten him to teach me it or I'll tell everyone I heard him humming, though I do not know what's so wrong with humming." I mutter while shrugging slightly. Itachi let out a chuckle, since my head was snuggled into his chest, I felt the vibrations. 

"Seems like something you would do." Itachi said as he pulled me closer. He tucked a lose strain of my hair and kissed my forehead. "Don't pay attention to what they're saying. They don't know the whole story. You're amazing, truly wonderful. You are not a monster, you're my little sister. I love you. Don't forget that, I'll always be here for you." Itachi mumbled in my ear. 

Damn Itachi, thanks for making everything so emotional, making me want to burst out crying and shit again ;-; JUST KIDDING, I LOVE YOU TOO BRO. 

"I love you too, Itachi." I whispered back. Itachi gave me one of his famous rare smile. I need to name this smile...It's gonna be the "Itachi Smile." 

"Let's move on a little bit more, then we can set camp." Itachi said. I nodded and stood up wiping the tears away from my face. I took a deep breath before running a hand through my hair. It felt good to cry, to let everything out was refreshing. 

Itachi reached for my hand and took it, we walked to where Kisame was waiting. He looked up and a sharky grin took his face. 

"Will you look at that, two Uchihas brother and sisters not actually wanting to kill each other. I never thought I'll see a day like this ever again." Kisame said while standing up and brushing himself off. I merely shrugged before walking over and wrapping my arms around his legs. Since he was super tall and I was super short, this was the best I could do. 

"What the-" Itachi shook his head silencing Kisame. 

(ITACHI'S POV)

Rain was currently hugging Kisame, which made Kisame extremely uncomfortable. He had his hand in the air, not knowing what to do before he placed them on Rain's shoulder. 

He looked up at me and I shrugged. When someone like Rain is hugging you, you should feel extremely special. I can't believe after all these years I finally found her. 

Though, I wish I didn't meet her like this. It's terrible that she has to be in the Akatsukis, it's unfortunate what she has to go through. She doesn't deserve any of this. 

Even though I only met her recently, I've became extremely protective over her.  I've failed one of my siblings, I intend to not fail this one. 

Kisame now had his arms wrapped around Rain, a fierce look on his face, that is how I know he decided, he has decided to protect Rain. A smile tugged at my lips before I shook my head. Since Rain manage to break that toughness in him, I have a feeling she'll be able to do that with each and every Akatsuki member. 

A kanji appeared on Kisame's neck... Protector. It was just like the one Ookami had. 

"They're idiots, all of them." Kisame said. Rain let out a small giggle, which made Kisame's sharky grin return. Rain broke apart from the hug and grinned up at Kisame. She pulled her mask down when she was crying in my arms. 

It broke my heart seeing her like that, though I know she will be able to get through this. 

Rain, I promise. I promise I'll protect you with my life, I won't leave you like I did with Sasuke. I regret that terribly, but this time I will be there for you. And hopefully, when Sasuke finally kills me, you'll be there for him. 

AWWWW ITACHI! - cries my eyes out - I hate doing this to myself ;-; Whenever I think of Itachi, and him being alive I feel like crying. I MISS HIM SO DAMN MUCH! HE SHOULD'VE LIVED! 

Oh well. 

Anyways, I have an important question for all my readers. Okay so I have two ways I can end this story. 1) After Gaara's death happens. It's not gonna be right after Gaara's death but probably like a couple chapters after. Or 2) After the fourth Shinobi world war. Now if I do the second one, I will make two books. If I do the first one, it's just gonna be one book. Sooo what should I do? I have good ideas for both so..Though I am leaning on the second idea more than the first.. So yeah! Give me some ideas!
