Destabilized- P1

As Peridot soared through the warp and back to her home, she stuck her hand out of the warp, feeling the cold, empty space. She remembered how her and Lapis would lie in Homeworld and stare up at the stars. She started to cry and pulled her hand back in, using it to turn her tears into crystalline shards and flick them off her face. After what seemed like an eternity, she landed on... a place she didn't recognize anymore.

In the world she remembered, Diopside would grow the grass, and Tourmaline made the flowers. It was a beautiful place where Gems could grow and live in peace. But now the grass and flowers were gone. There was nothing. There was smoggy smoke in the sky and broken buildings all around. There was a lighted pathway leading to what seemed like the only intact building. Peridot forced one foot in front of the other and shakily made her way to the skyscraper in the distance.

As she approached the door, she was met by a petite Gem. The Gem picked her up with surprising ease. "Who are you? State your business!"

"P-Peridot, ma'am! I-I came back to Homeworld... f-from the Crystal Gems!"

"Crystal... Gems?!" The Gem grabbed a strange rod pulsing with electricity and stabbed it into the green Gem's chest. Peridot screamed as she retreated into her gem, and the petite white Gem guarding the building scooped up the gem, bringing it inside, mumbling "The Diamond Authority needs to see this..."
