Chapter 4

*LUCY'S POV*

"That was an amazing movie! I loved it so much!" "Yea! It was really good!" Zayn says."Well Lucy, time for you to go to bed. It's 11pm." Liam says tiredly."Okay." I'm tired and excited to go sleep in my new bed but I don't wanna leave the boys."Can you take me to bed? I still feel really dizzy." I ask Louis."Sure love. Anything for my little girl." I love the ways he calls me his little girl. It makes me feel special.Louis carrys me to bed, the boys follow behind. They surround my bed, tuck me in, say goodnight and leave turning the light off, leaving the door slightly open.I hear their footsteps slowly walk away. They go different directions to their own bedrooms. I curl up in my bed and fall asleep peacefully.

*HARRY'S POV* 

I wake up to hear what must be our little girl screaming. I jump out of bed and sprint to her room, wake all the others up and go to comfort her. She must have had a nightmare. She was all sweaty, crying and screaming. 

"Lucy, Lucy, wake up! It's okay, your family are here. The boys all surround her and help me calm her down. I get on her bed, lift her up, while she is fighting me and put her on my lap. I give her the biggest cuddle ever. She starts mumbling.

"My dad. He..." 

"He what love?" I ask her.

"He. Found. Me." She starts crying her eyes out again and I look to the boys for help. 

Liam walks over to me and Lucy and gets down on his knees. 

"Lucy. He is never going to find you. He is in jail and will never come out again. You are safe with us." Liam knows exactly what to say.

"But it was so vivid." She tells me.

"Lucy, it's never going to happen. You have us and our security guards." Louis says.

She rests her head on my chest and I hold her so tight.

We sit in silence for a minute or two until she falls back to sleep again and we leave to go to our own beds.

Next morning:

*LUCY's POV*

I don't know what happened last night. I must have had a nightmare. The boys came in to comfort me and I must have fallen back to sleep because it's now 8:30am. I get out of bed, have a shower and change into denim jeans and top with converse shoes. I put my hair in a bun and go downstairs to meet the boys.

"Hello love!" Louis says excitedly. 

"How are you this morning?" Niall asks smiling.

"I'm better thank you for asking." I tell them. After being sick last night I do feel alot better.

"Want some pancakes for breakfast?" Zayn asks. 

"I love pancakes! Yes please!" I really do love pancakes. One of my favourite food.

Niall and Zayn go into the kitchen to make them and I sit on the chair with Harry, Liam and Louis.

"So love, don't forget you have the doctor coming soon." Harry tells me.

"Yeah I know. I'm kinda nervous." I tell him.

"Everything will be fin-"

"BREAKFAST IS READY!" Niall and Zayn shout.

"Everything will be fine." Harry finishes his sentence and we all walk into the kitchen and find so many pancakes on the table.

"It looks amazing guys. Thank you so much." I tell them.

"It's okay! Dig in love!" Zayn says sweetly.

We all dig in. Everyone has five pancakes and I have one and half. Ugh. Why don't I eat as much as them?

"I'm finished." I tell them.

"That's great! Well done love!" Louis says. 

We hear a knock at the door and Liam goes to answer it. The rest of us clean up the table and Liam walks in with...the doctor. I'm dreading this.

"Lucy, this is Mark. Your doctor. He is just going to do a quick checkup to make sure you are okay." Liam says.

"Okay.." I'm scared. I don't let strangers touch me.

"Hello Lucy! My name is Mark. I'm just going to check your heart, weight, height etc." 

"Okay.." 

"The doctor tells me to stand on the scale. I do and he takes notes. He asks me to stand straight and measures my height. He takes notes and then he says "Can you please take off your top so I can check your heart?"  

Oh. This is what I was scared of. 

"Umm, can you do it without me taking my top off?" 

"No, sorry. It will only be a second and I won't look at anything I promise." He says.

Liam walks over to me and holds my hand. He gives me a loving look saying I am here love. He isn't going to do anything. I look at the other boys and they do the same.

"Okay."

I slowly take my top off and I instantly cover myself up. I'm so self concious. And cold.  Liam comes up behind me and I jump. 

"It's okay love. It's just me." He says warmingly. 

He moves my hands away from my chest and I start crying. I turn my head into Liam's chest and he comforts me while the doctor puts the cold stethascope on my chest. It takes what feels like ages and then he says finished and I run to put my top back on. 

"Sorry about that. She has had a rough life." Liam says. I run to the boys and they look like they are about to cry. 

"It's fine. It happens all the time." Mark says to Liam. 

"So if you all can just take a seat. I have some things to go through." Mark says.

I'm really nervous. I'm probably really sick and need injections 24/7.

"Okay. So Lucy is really underweight. She may be anorexic so she will have to go down to the private clinic for more tests."

The boys face drops.

*LOUIS' POV*

Our wee girl is possibly anorexic and it looks like their is more bad news to come. I'm gonna help her be really healthy again. She is my wee girl and means the world to me.

*LUCY'S POV*

"There is more news." Mark pauses.  "If she doesn't eat more soon, she will have to go into hospital and stay there. After the tests we can confirm if she is anorexic and the steps that need to be taken to get her healthy again. Right now, you just need to make her eat more. Little bits at a time. Small snacks every so often." 

"Okay. We can do that." Louis says.

"Do you want to come down with me to do the tests now or?" Marks asks.

"Yeah okay. Better find out as soon as possible."

We all grab our jackets and get in the car. We follow Mark the way there. We park in the carpark and Zayn holds my hand. 

"Okay. We need to take some blood tests. We will also need to talk to Lucy about eating habits." The nurse says.

Liam asks "Can you put a numbing patch on Lucy for the blood test? She doesn't take blood tests very well and I can't bear to see her in pain right now." 

"Yeah sure." The nurse says kindly.

She walks out to grab the equipment and the boys talk to me. 

I have Liam on one side hold my hand, Harry on the other, Niall at my feet, Zayn beside Niall and Louis on the bed beside my head.

"Can you sing me What Makes You Beautiful please?" I ask almost crying.

"Of course. Anything for our little girl." Harry says. The boys all smile at me and the nurse comes back in with the equipment. The first thing I see is the needle. I freeze. I think I see the numbing patches. She puts the patches on my arm and spreads some cream on. She then grabs the needle and the boys hold me tight. 

"Close your eyes love." Harry tells me.

"Baby you light up my world like nobody else,The way that you flip your hair gets me overwhelmed.."

 "All done!" The nurse says. 

I open my eyes and the boys congratulate me.

"Okay so while those are being assessed, Lucy, we need to talk to you. Do you want the boys -"

"In thanks." I say before she finishes. 

"Okay thats fine." I sit on Liam's knee and the nurse starts talking.

"What do you normally have everyday to eat?" 

"Well at the orphange I had, 2 pieces of fruit a sandwhich and a biscuit if I was feeling up to it." 

"An orphanage?" The nurse asks questioningly. 

I look at Liam for help and he nods.

"She has lived in an orphanage since she was ten for a year and in that year she has been abused and returned after 3 weeks. Her mother and father abused her at 9 years old. Her dad is in prison and we don't know where her mother is." Liam tells the nurse.

The nurse takes notes and finally says "Okay. Thank you for telling me. I will go get the test results and be straight back." 

I snuggle into Liams chest and start to cry. The boys surround in a circle comforting me. I never wanted to be like this. Ever. I love these boys so much and I never want them to leave me.

"Promise you won't leave me... Ever." I mumble.

Liam hugs me tighter and they all say "Promise with all our heart."

The nurse walks back in and it doesn't look positive.

"Okay. So Lucy is anorexic. We will have another check up in 3 weeks. In the mean time here is some vitamins, iron tablets and protein drinks. She has to take these 3 times a day as well as little snacks. She is not to force herself too much but only a little bit. "

"Okay. Thank you so much." Harry says.

We walk out and go back to the car.

"Hey Lucy, what do you want for tea? Anything!" Niall says excitedly.

"I love sushi!" I tell him.

"SUSHI IT IS BOYS!" 

We get home, Niall orders the sushi and we go into the movie/game room. We get it all comfortable and me, Liam and Zayn go to the pantry and get heaps of lollies, fizzy, and junk food. We take it back to the room and Niall finishes on the phone. 

"I'm just going to make one more phone call okay?" He winks at the boys and I wonder whats happening.

*NIALL'S POV*

I dial the home number expecting an answer after two rings.

"HEY MATE HOW YOU GOING!" I shout into the phone.

"GOOD THANKS! WHAT'S UP?" 

"Hey mate. we have adopted a little 11 year old girl. We are getting in sushi and gonna have a junk food and games/movie night. She is very sick and needs all the food she can get. Wanna come round and hang as well? It would make her so happy!" I say to them.

I hear him tell the rest of his mates and they all shout yes.

"BE THERE IN 10!" 

"YAY OKAY!" I shout back.

I skip back to the movie/game room and the boys look at me. I just smile at them and they know its a yes. Now to wait and see Lucy's reaction. I can't wait.

*LUCY'S POV*

What's happening? Niall just skipped back in here with a huge smile. I just sit there with the boys and everything is okay. We play a game of go fish and it turns out really funny. I win and then I hear a knock at the door.

"What was that?" I ask the boys.

Niall sprints out of the room and I look at the rest of the boys and they say "Just wait" smiling.

Niall comes back in with 4 people behind him.

"Lads, this is Lucy."

"Lucy, this is 5 Seconds of Summer."
