"Mommy!" my daughter came running towards me as I entered my dads house after finishing up at work.

"Hi baby!" I let her jump into my arms and I spun her around making her giggle. The nanny Rita came around the corner and smiled at me.

"Hello Miss Abigail." she greeted.

"Rita, you don't have to call me Miss." I chuckled.

"Right, sorry." she apologized.

"You don't have to apologize. Thank you for watching Mia." I smiled.

"It was a pleasure." she said. I smiled at her once more before setting my bag down and picking up Mia. I led her to the living room where I saw my dad, Keithie, and Greg.

"I'm telling you this was like the greatest game. Me and my buddies would play it on a winter day." my dad told my brothers while holding up shoots and ladders. "We'd go down in the basement drink hot chocolate."

"I wouldn't mind a hot chocolate right now." Keithie snapped his fingers and nodded. "Hey Rita!" he shouted.

"Why don't you get up and get it yourself?" I asked him as I sat down with Mia on my lap. Keithie shot me a glare to which I replied with ruffling his hair.

 "Rita!" he shouted again.

"I play with you grampy." Mia perked up and walked over to my dad. He smiled down at her and ruffled his hair.

"Dude, you gotta text her. She's doing laundry." Greg told Keithie. "Hey dad, we were at the Spielberg's house yesterday. They have 150 inch TV. Can we get one of those?"

"You know what, when you direct E.T I'll get you one of those." Dad said.

"Beg for mercy." the boys video game said.

"What is the object here? I don't get it." Dad pointed at the game. "You're on a cruise ship and you chop peoples heads off with a chainsaw?"

"Oh, and you can drown them." Keithie pointed out. I rolled my eyes once again.

Hi, I'm Abigail Feder. My Dad is none other than Lenny Feder and Roxanne Feder is my step-mom. If you looked at me and my family you wouldn't even think we're related. I look nothing like them. I look exactly like my birth mom who just so happened to die during child birth.

Her and my dad were young when they found out they were having me. My mom was excited and I can't help but feel guilty that she was taken from this world just so I could come into it. I have pictures of her and even though we never met I miss her like crazy. Especially with how I'm living right now.

Yes, I have a daughter and she is the light of my life. I got pregnant when I made the mistake of getting drunk and hooking up with one of my friends at a party. I guess you could say he's involved in her life but not as much as I am. I would never say that he's a terrible person because I get how stressful and nerve wracking it can be when you find out you're gonna be a parent at 16.

I never blamed him for taking that step out of Mia's life. She's met him before but not in the 'Oh hey I'm your father' way. More in the 'I'm your mom's friend' kind of way. I told her that he's her dad but she doesn't call him dad, daddy, or dada. None of that. She likes him but they just don't have that connection, which is totally okay. I'm good at this whole single mom thing.

Well most of the time.

When my dad and Roxanne found out I was pregnant, they were furious. Roxanne tried to get my dad to kick me out but thankfully he did the bare minimum and let me stay in the house. I'll always be thankful for my father because if it weren't for him, my daughter and I would be living on the streets.

Roxanne and I don't get along too well. She doesn't think of me as a daughter, she thinks of me as Lenny's failure. It sucks because I do really care about her and I've tried everything but she just hates my guts.

Greg, Keithie, and Becky don't hate me. They actually think of me as a sister and Mia as their niece.

Mia is my two almost three year old daughter. She's the light of my life and although I made a mistake, I can't imagine not having her in my life. Every day when she comes running to the door when I get home from work, it's the most amazing feeling. And when we fall asleep and cuddle while watching Disney movies, I wouldn't change it for the world.

"Oh my god Rita!" I looked over at Greg who shouted at Rita. "This isn't Godiva what are you trying to poison me?"

"Not nice Greggy." Mia glared at him adorably.

"Oh my god. Go back to texting. I don't ever wanna hear that out loud again." Dad stood up and looked out the window. "What the heck's going on out here?"

I looked over my shoulder and my eyes widened when I saw my dad's car drive into one of our tables outside.

"Oh my god." I stood up and ran out with my dad and everyone else following behind me.

Becky jumped out of the drivers seat and I ran and crouched down in front of her.

"I didn't mean to. It was an accident." she told me.

"I don't care. Are you alright?" I asked her.

"What the heck were you doing?" Dad asked as he hugged her.

"I was trying to use the Navy." Becky answered.

"The Navy? What's the Navy?"

"The Navy in the car to ask it a question."

"You mean the navigation system, idiot." Keithie said and I smacked him in the head.

"Some man called. He said your friend Coach Buzzer went to heaven. I was trying to find heaven for you on the Navy station so you could go visit him." Becky told us.

My face fell completely as I looked at my dad. I brought a hand up to my mouth and looked down at Mia.

"Yikes." Dad mumbled.

"Who's your friend dad?" Becky asked.

"Coach Buzzer was someone very special in Daddy and Abby's life. It's terrible." He said sadly. "Okay, go drink some hot chocolate with these guys." he pointed at Keithie, Greg, and Mia.

I lifted Mia onto my hip and she wrapped one of her arms around my shoulder.

"You 'kay mama?" she asked. I nodded and kissed her head before looking at my dad.

"You okay Dad?" I asked him.

"Yeah." he put a hand on my shoulder. "I'm gonna go make some phone calls. You should go make sure Mia gets lunch."

Lucas's POV

"Eric hon, it's your mom." I looked over as my mom walked out of the house and into the backyard where all of us were.

Donna and Bean are in the pool with my dad while I'm messing with the basketball hoop because the rim broke.

My dad tried to hop out of the pool only to break the whole side making the water spill out of it.

"Oh my god, Eric are you all right?!" my mom exclaimed. Donna shrieked as she was pushed out of the pool before Bean came out giggling. "Luke get your brother!"

I ran over and lifted Bean off of his duck floatie. My dad tried to run over to my mom only to fall again.

"Oh hon." she handed him the phone and he quickly answered it.

"Hello mommy." I rolled my eyes at his child like voice.

His face dropped as his mom told him something.

"Okay, I'll see you then." he said solemnly. He hung up the phone and turned to us. "Coach Buzzer died."

"What?" I set Bean down as my mom pulled my dad into a hug.

Coach Buzzer's the one that taught me how to play basketball. He's always been an important person in my life. I can't believe it.
