'her eyes are like a firework.'

Y/n woke up in the morning.

She was extra excited today as it was the day of the festival.

She practically jumped out of bed and got ready. She was going to be very dolled up today.

She put on some really nice make up and styled her hair by giving herself some royal curls and pinning it back nicely with an elegant hairpiece.

She was told to wear something casual but nice so they can walk around the festival later.

She was going to be changing into her work outfit for the helping with Heeseung's work anyway.

She got told to be there at 12pm.

She had 2 hours to get ready and go.

I'll spare you the details but she had a nice refreshing morning.

She got to the place Heeseung sent on the group and she could already see Heeseung and some others moving some boxes.

"Heyy!!" Y/n cheered coming in very bubbly.

"Hey! Woah.. you look.. great." Heeseung said.

"Who looks great?" Jungwon peaked around the corner whilst holding a box.

"Wow.. who are you? Are you single?" Jungwon joked around.

"Thanks guys. Anyway.. what can I do?" Y/n asked.

"Go in the back and get your uniform from my boss. Her name is Gaeul, she's very nice don't worry!"Heeseung said.

"Okay." Y/n said walking over to the back.

She looked around in what seemed like a storage room and a changing room next to it as there was a sign.

"Hey! You're y/n nanaki right? I love your hair it's cute!" A girl said.

"Oh yeah I am. Thanks, you're very pretty yourself." Y/n said respectfully.

"I'll introduce myself. I'm Gaeul! I'm the manager here and also Heeseung's manager." Gaeul explained.

"Ohhh! I see! You look quite young though. What's your skincare can I ask?" Y/n said.

"Haha thank you. I am quite young actually. I'm only 23 but I love this job so it doesn't matter!" Gaeul said.

"Can I be informal with you or is that a big no?" Y/n asked.

"Ofcourse you can! But please still be sensible as this is a workplace and I like to keep it neat." Gaeul said.

Y/n nodded and smiled.

"Anyway, let's not get carried away. Over there you can grab your uniform and go to change in that little locker area. You can leave all of your bags and clothes in there and just tie the key around your neck as there is a string attached to each one." Gaeul explained.

"Okay. Anything else?" Y/n asked.

"After that, just come into the main cafe area and I'll explain everyone's duties when everyone arrives." Gaeul said.

Y/n nodded and walked off into the locker room.

It was a changing room aswell.

There was no one in the room so she decided to use this time to change.

She seen the brand new uniform and took it out.

'Wait.. this is cute? Wait let me try it on.' Y/n thought.

She took her jeans off but kept her shirt on. She put the black see through tights on and then slowly the skirt. It was a tight dress that wrapped around her figure perfectly.

She still had her shirt on and didn't yet pull up the dress to her top half. She just was slowly squealing while putting it on.

She started talking her shirt off and then someone walked in.

There stood a shocked Jake and Sunghoon. Y/n screamed and quickly covered her body with the shirt.

Both of them quickly turned around.She quickly put the shirt back on.

"Y-you guys can turn around now. I'm not half naked in a bra anymore." Y/n said feeling EXTREMELY embarrassed.

"So.. let's just pretend that never happened so none of us get beat up?" Jake offered.

"Yeah that sounds fair." Sunghoon added.

"I- I'm gonna run to the bathroom." Y/n said speeding off past the guys.

She finished changing in there.

'Thank god I was wearing the bottom of the dress and the bra. That would've been a disaster if I was completely naked.' Y/n thought.

After a while she went back into the locker room and left her stuff in there.

By that time, the guys weren't in the locker room.

She decided to take a locker and then the key and place it on her neck like Gaeul asked her.

She then left the locker room and headed to the main cafe area.

The guys were carrying and unpacking some boxes. Everyone was scattered around the place.

Everyone was wearing their uniforms. There was also 2 other girls in the same uniform as y/n.

She looked around to see everyone busy and then walked over to Gaeul, Heeseung and Jake who was nearby.

They were behind the main counter with everything.

'When did Ni-Ki, Sunoo and Jay get here?' She thought with a puzzled look displaying on her face.

"Hey Gaeul!" Y/n said standing next to Gaeul.

"Hey y/n! Great that you finished changing. There's some work to be done." Gaeul replied.

"So.. what can I do?" Y/n asked.

"Everyone is unpacking boxes currently and placing and decorating the place a little more." Gaeul explained.

"The opening is at 6pm so we have around 3 and half hours." Gaeul announced.

"Ah okay." Y/n said.

"Your job later is to just serve people who come in and greet them nicely. I'll put everyone in groups later so we'll divide the roles evenly." Gaeul said.

"Also can I ask, who are those two other girls in the uniforms?" Y/n asked.

"Oh that's Leeha and Hoyeon. They're also girls who I know who are going to be helping out. They're around your age." Gaeul explained.

"Ohh I see." Y/n said looking over to them.

"Do they work here regularly?" Y/n asked.

"Nope! They're here helping out just like most of you, just for today." Gaeul said.

"Oh okay." Y/n said.

"By the way, I see that the outfit suits you perfectly. You look great. I knew the girls outfits would look better than the guys." Gaeul complimented y/n, proud of her work.

"Thanks so much. I also like it! I can't believe you designed this." Y/n said.

"That's what I used to major in uni. Obviously before I wanted to have my own cafe." Gaeul laughed.

"Okay anyway. Heeseung and Jake need some help with those boxes. You can go unbox them or just in general help out." Gaeul said smiling.

"Okay I got it!" Y/n said walking over to them.

"Hey Heeseung. You want me to help you with that? "Y/n asked to help with stacking cups in a cupboard.

LHey y/n- wow nice outfit. It suits you.l Heeseung complimented y/n.

"Thanks a lot. Yours does too." Y/n smiled.

"And yeah you can help me obviously. Just stack those and flip them upside down so they won't fall." Heeseung said.

"Okayy." Y/n said grabbing the cups and placing them one on top of each other.

After some time they finished with the box and then helped Jake with his.

Jake and y/n avoided eye contact just because of earlier.

It was quite awkward even if they didn't see anything too restricted.

"Jake. I just wanna say that I'm not mad or upset about earlier. Just a little embarrassed. But just forget that you seen anything! It was only my shoulders and stomach nothing else!" Y/n whisper shouted to Jake so no one else would hear.

They were just stacking them next to each other while Heeseung went for another box.

"Sorry. I just felt you must've felt really weirded out because of that accident.." Jake said.

"Just forget about it! I'm not upset and it's not your fault or Sunghoon's. I should've been more careful about changing as a woman. Anyway are we good now?" Y/n said.

"Ofcourse. Hug?" Jake said.

"Mhm." Y/n said opening her arms as they two hugged.

They then pulled out as Heeseung came over.

"Wow so this is what happens when I'm gone for a second! I miss everything I swear.." Heeseung said.

Y/n and Jake just laughed a little at that and y/n patted his back.

"Let's continue shall we?" Y/n said.

Heeseung just nodded and they continued stacking cups and storing the stuff from the boxes.

"Okay! Now that you're all done, it's time for the main bit." Gaeul said.

Everyone finished and they were standing in a U shape and infront of them was Gaeul.

"Let's just do a little introduction even though most of us know each other." Gaeul said.

They all had name tags anyway but just incase.

Starting from Heeseung they introduced themselves.

"I'm Lee Heeseung. I think most of you know me but yeah." Heeseung said.

Then after that went Jay and everyone else including those two new girls.

"Okay so! I've made a list with everyone's name on it, everyone will be divided into pairs and different tasks ofcourse." Gaeul explained.

"Okay so let's start off shall we?" Gaeul said whilst they all just eagerly listened.

"Jungwon and Sunghoon, you'll be in charge of serving. After our chefs make the food your job is to just serve them to the people that ordered the food." Gaeul said.

Jungwon and Sunghoon at looked each other and cheered.

"Okay next is Jake and Sunoo. You two will be taking orders from people and writing them down. Simple job, you'll get a notepad and I'll teach you the rest later." Gaeul explained.

Jake and Sunoo nodded and high fived.

"Next, Jay, Heeseung and Leeha. You three will work together as this job requires more people. You three will work at the counter and make drinks and pass food from kitchen to the pick up station in the main area." Gaeul explained.

Heeseung and Jay nodded. And the other girl also did the same.

"And lastly, Ni-Ki, Hoyeon  and y/n. You three will work as promoters. You'll stand infront of the cafe handing out leaflets and small samples next to our stall to make people come in." Gaeul said.

'I'm with Ni-Ki?' Y/n thought feeling a little more excited.

She tried to hide a small smile on her face.

'What's wrong with me?!' She thought to herself slapping herself gently.

"You can now go over to your pair or three and discuss whilst I go over to each of you one by one explaining your task more." Gaeul said.

Y/n walked over to Ni-Ki.

"So I guess we're working together. That's good right?" Y/n said awkwardly.

"Hmm.. you sure you didn't cast a spell on Gaeul to put us together?" Ni-Ki said sarcastically.

"Omg how did you know?!" Y/n said sarcastically, obviously joking.

As they laughed together a little and shared little conversation, Hoyeon walked over to them.

"I guess I'm working with you guys! I'm really excited! We have an easy task too!" Hoyeon said.

Y/n wasn't sure to trust her or not.

'She looks friendly right?' She told herself.

"Yeah we're also excited!" Y/n said but her voice sounding insincere.

'Oh yeah. She's here too. So it's not just us.. bummer.' Y/n thought.

"So what's your name?" Hoyeon said to Ni-Ki as he wasn't really paying attention to anything them two were saying.

'She only wants his name? Wait, we did introductions though didn't we?' Y/n thought.

"I'm Ni-Ki." Ni-Ki said looking at the girl.

"That's a cool name. How old are you?" Hoyeon asked him, only making conversation to him.

"I'm 19 this year." Ni-Ki said.

"Really?! That means you're my sunbae! Or can I call you oppa?" Hoyeon asked.

'What. WHAT.' Y/n thought whilst she slowly started to get agitated.

"Sunbae is fine." Ni-Ki said not caring.

"But I wanna call you oppa~" Hoyeon said in a whining tone.

"Sunbae is fine." Y/n glared at her while emphasising 'fine'.

'It's clear what her intentions are. Obviously she's interested in him. Jake and Jungwon weren't lying when they said he's a lady magnet.' Y/n thought.

Hoyeon looked at y/n.

"I think I was talking to him?" Hoyeon said in an egoistic tone.

"Oh were you? Well there's two of us here. It wouldn't make sense to leave me out would it?" Y/n said in an agitated tone, glaring at the girl.

"Y/n relax. Call me whatever you want." Ni-Ki said.

Y/n had a shocked look on her face.

'Relax..? YOU WANT ME TO FUCKING RELAX YOU DICKHEAD?!' Y/n got angrier.

"So.. do you have a girlfriend?" Hoyeon asked him.

At that point y/n just shut off and crossed her arms and sat down at a booth next to them as they were standing up and talking.

Ni-Ki didn't seem to care in y/n's eyes.

At first she got angry but then upset.

Y/n sighed and just closed her eyes waiting for Gaeul to come over.

After a couple of minutes Gaeul came over and told them what to do.

Y/n stood up obviously for that and listened.

It was finally 6pm and time for opening.

There was some people cued up even before it started. It was a good cafe with good food so no wonder.

Y/n looked over to Ni-Ki and Hoyeon and sighed.

'Whatever. It's not as if he likes her right?' Y/n thought trying to become more positive.

'..right?' She then lost the happiness and started overthinking.

They just kept busy and kept handing out the sheets for quite some time.

It was around 10pm. And y/n just tried to keep positive as those two kept laughing together and she kept hitting on him.

It was already dark and the other stalls next to them were really pretty. Everything was light up and colourful and it made y/n more relaxed.

Y/n looked over and watched Ni-Ki and Hoyeon again. But then.. she grabbed his arm and hugged it while smiling.

That was y/n's last straw. She felt as if tears were about to form in her eyes.

She then walked over to them.

"I'm going to the bathroom. Have fun together." Y/n looked at the both of them while she was upset.

"Bye bye~" Hoyeon smirked.

'What a bitch.' Y/n glared at her.

'Hold it in. Hold it in.' Y/n told herself but then she burst.

"That skirt looks tight on you. As in it's about to burst." Y/n said sounding like a real bitch.

Hoyeon looked at her and so did Ni-Ki.

"But it's fine! It looks like you were planning to make him take it off of you tonight. But too bad for you.. he'll kiss you a little and leave you like all the rest! Well no surprise on you though. I don't think you'll even get past undoing the zipper." Y/n said flatly and walked off.

Hoyeon just stood there shocked and angry.

'Fucking deserved it. Both of them. I got so worked up over nothing again.' She rolled her eyes and entered the cafe.

"Hey y/n!" Heeseung said watching her walk fast.

She stormed past Heeseung and Jay and the other girl who was making a drink.

Jay and Heeseung stood there a little taken aback.

Y/n rushed past into the locker room and sat down.

She slid her back against the wall of a locker beside the corner of the room. It was like a little hiding spot.

She then sighed.

'Why am I getting so worked up for? I don't even know if he likes me or not..' y/n thought.

"Am I not good enough for him?" Y/n said muttering to herself.

'She's not even that pretty..' y/n thought to herself.

"But she doesn't have to be pretty for him to like her." She muttered to herself.

She then heard the door of the locker room open.

She then wiped her tears quickly and went silent.

"Y/n?? I saw you run in here. Where are you?" Heeseung's voice said.

She then stayed quiet while she hid behind the locker and tucked in her knees more.

Heeseung didn't say anything and looked around and seen her feet peeking out.

He just shook his head while smiling and quietly walked over to her.

He just sat down next to her but on the side of the locker not directly infront of her.

"What happened Nanaki?" Heeseung said softly while sighing.

Y/n tried to speak but her voice cut off and didn't let her. She then felt tears run down her face.

Heeseung didn't look at her but ahead of him just to give her some space.

"I-.." y/n stopped talking as she felt her heart getting more heavy and tears ran down her face more.

Heeseung heard her sniffle and looked to the side.

"Hey- don't cry-" Heeseung panicked when he seen her crying.

"Don't look at me!- I'm a horrible person.. just please-.. don't look." Y/n said slowly breaking down in a panic.

Heeseung quickly looked away.

"I won't look at you until you tell me to. I promise." Heeseung said sincerely.

Y/n just sniffled.

"Do you want to tell me what happened? Or do you just want to sit in silence until you calm down a little?" Heeseung asked, while his voice sounded reassuring.

Y/n stayed silent while sniffling.

"I'll take that as a stay quiet." Heeseung said.

They just sat in comforting silence for a couple of minutes before y/n wiped her tears.

"I.." y/n started off.

Heeseung still was sitting down, leaning his back against the front of the locker while y/n was on the side doing the same but her knees tucked in with her hands on them.

Heeseung focused his attention to her but still respected her decision for him not to look at her.

"..I just had a-" y/n got cut off because she started hiccuping.

Heeseung tried to hold in a grin but it was hard.

"Uhh.." she tried to speak again but hiccuped.

Heeseung started snickering. He tried to hold in as much as he could but he couldn't take himself serious.

"Hm? You're laughing!" Y/n whined while peaking out to look at him.

"I'm sorry! I'm sorry.." he said holding in his snicker.

He looked at her.

He then realised he did and looked away.

"Sorry." Heeseung said. He couldn't look at her remember?

"It's fine you can look now." She said hiccuping afterwards.

"So, you wanna tell me why you stormed off upset earlier?" Heeseung asked.

Y/n sighed and got herself out of that corner and leaned her back against the front of a locker near Heeseung.

"I just had a bad day. It's not that I don't like helping out!- It's just.. I feel strangely emotional today.." y/n said avoiding eye contact with Heeseung because she felt him staring.

"Hm. I can't say I understand how you feel because only you know how that is. But I get what you mean. Everyone has those days ofcourse and maybe it's just the feelings of an event happening." Heeseung said.

Y/n looked at him.

"I- just feel.. like.. I don't know." Y/n sighed and lowered her head.

"You know what you need? To just walk around and get your thoughts away." Heeseung said.

"I'll ask my boss if you could take a break to get some food from other stalls and just enjoy the festival." Heeseung said.

He was about to stand up but y/n grabbed his sleeve.

"H-Heeseung please don't leave." She looked at him with pleading eyes.

It was a hard scene for him to resist.

In that dark locker room while her eyes were glistening from the tears, while she was still sitting down.

"Come here." He said kneeling down and opening his arms for her to hug him.

Y/n practically threw herself into his arms and her tears started building up again.

He just held her in his arms while she cried.

He rubbed her back and caressed it gently.

"I'm here. I'll stay with you for as long as you need." Heeseung said hugging her tighter.

Her hand clenched the back of his shirt.

They stayed like that for a good few minutes.

She eventually stopped crying and relaxed.

She then pulled out of the hug slowly and looked at Heeseung.

She felt her heart squeeze.

"Thank you Hee. Don't take this in a weird way but I really love you. In a friendly way ofcourse-" y/n said.

Heeseung just snickered and smiled.

"I love you too. Friendly way ofcourse." Heeseung said.

Both of them hugged again in a friendly way.

'Her eyes are truly like a firework. So much colour and emotions in them.' Heeseung thought.

And while them two were comforting each other in that warm embrace.

There in someone who was listening to their conversation.

'How unfortunate..' Hoyeon thought smirking.
