'Rainy days, are meant to be unfortunate.'

Y/n woke up with a smile on her face after checking her phone.

Heeseung (오빠)

Good morning :)

Read.

Y/n couldn't help but smile. She started to feel warm inside.

Heeseung (오빠)

You're watching a basketball game, not going to a fashion show.

Excuse you do you want me to come into school looking like I'm on my 4th week on steroids ?

haha just go get ready

bye grandpa

Read.

She had an hour to get ready, eat and then leave. The bus from her house took 15 minutes so she was tight on time.

She dolled herself up. The school she went to didn't allow very heavy makeup. They allowed makeup but if you came in and was a whole different colour or had literally black eye shadow to make you look like a panda bear, you'd be in trouble.

Many schools in Korea were strict and didn't have departments. That's why y/n's school is superior to them all. They were more relaxed but the pupils were all educated. Well most of them atleast!

Y/n got to the main gates of the school and seen Jungwon and Jake standing waiting for her.

"Hey guys!" Y/n said running up to them.

"Hey! Come on let's go." Jake said.

"Sunoo saved us seats but we have to be quick or else someone might take them!" Jungwon said grabbing her wrist and dragging y/n.

They made it to the games hall and found Sunoo in the crowd. It wasn't hard since Sunoo's blonde hair stuck out like a highlighter.

That was another thing they allowed in y/n's school. They were allowed to dye their hair. But not rainbow colours. They either had to be black, brown or blonde. Navy Blue was a stretch but they allowed Heeseung.

They all sat there waiting patiently on the game.

y/n's pov

We were all talking amongst ourselves until the referee of the basketball game was in the middle of the court. He tapped the mic twice, testing it to see if it is working.

"Ah. Ah. 1,2,3. Ah great." He said testing it.

"Hello students. Welcome to the game first of all. I'd like to thank you all for coming to cheer on our great team. If you're from another school then also welcome." He said.

——————————————————————————𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐠𝐚𝐦𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐨𝐲𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐠𝐨𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐨 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲 𝐰𝐚𝐬 𝐚𝐠𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭 𝐚𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫 𝐬𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐨𝐥!———————————————————————————

"Anyway, without talking a lot today. I hope you enjoy the game, cheer the teams on, and have fun! Fighting!" The referee said.

Everyone cheered and clapped.

We waited about 1 minute. The players then came onto the arena. And the referee finally blew the whistle.

I felt Jungwon's arm tense up and his leg tapping.

"It's starting!" He said.

We then saw both teams charge for the ball. So far one of our players managed to tip the ball on our side giving us the head start.

I seen how well our school's team was doing. I cheered.

I then saw Heeseung with the ball and I cheered very loudly.

Jake and Jungwon also cheered with me.

"LEE HEESEUNG FIGHTING!" I yelled from the crowd enough for him to hear.

I seen him smirk and move swiftly through the pitch and pass to his teammates.

It was very satisfying to watch him and Sunghoon play.

I was trying to hard not to look at Riki. But he was too good. I couldn't help but gawk at him when I seen him playing basketball.

I knew this guy was attractive ever since I seen him again. But he was so much different when he was younger. Seen him be so serious about basketball really brings me back flashbacks.

Flashback

"You really think you can score that?" A 6year old y/n said.

"And if I do? What will you do?" A 6year old Ni-Ki says.

"I know you can't make that shot from this far!" Y/n's squeaky 6 year old voice says.

"If I make this in, you have to do whatever I say!" Ni-Ki's pipsqueak voice also says.

"Deal! Let's see you even try." Little y/n's voice yells.

Little Ni-Ki runs up and bounces it off the board and scores it perfectly into the hoop.

"I told you!" Little Ni-Ki says pointing at y/n.

"No fair! You cheated." Little Y/n said.

"I didn't cheat! A deal is a deal." Ni-ki says.

"Okay fine, what do you want?" Little y/n says crossing her arms and looking away.

Little Ni-Ki just goes up to her and flicks her forehead.

"Ow!" Y/n squeals holding her forehead.

She holds back her tears.

"There!" Ni-Ki proudly retorts.

Ni-Ki turns away being all smug about how he won.

Y/n starts sniffling. She couldn't hold back her tears.

Ni-Ki hears her sniffling and turns around.

"Hey!-.. wha..-" he halts his sentence and sees the tears drop from her eyes.

"Wh-why are you crying?" Little Ni-Ki asks, worry in his eyes.

"That really hurt you cheater!" Little y/n starts crying softly.

Ni-ki starts panicking.

"Hey!- I- look-.. I'm sorry Kina!" Ni-Ki goes up to her and pats her back.

She stops sniffling.

"Kina?" She asks.

"Yeah!- You're Nanaki y/n. Nanaki." Ni-ki says highlighting the letters.

Y/n looks at him with teary eyes. She's about to start crying again. Little Ni-Ki sees this and gently hugs her.

"I'm sorry Kina!" He apologises with his little squeaky 6 year old voice.

Y/n completely stops crying and hugs him back.

"It's okay. I forgive you Riki." She says smiling.

End of flashback

The teams were almost tied. Our school was winning by 6 points. It was very close and there was 2 minutes and 16 seconds left. Everyone went wild and cheered for our school. The other school also cheered for their team but we were louder.

The other team scored sadly and gained an extra 3 points. The players were working hard not to lose. Eventually the teams were tied and everyone in the crowd was tensed up.

I sat there with lots of anticipation. I was stressed. Even though I wasn't even playing!

I kept my eyes glued on the ball. Or more like, the person who had the ball.

There was only 15seconds left and I seen Ni-Ki with the ball moving swiftly around the court. His teammates were out of bounds to pass to so he had to count on himself.

I stood there with my hands clenched looking at him intensely. I make eye contact with him. It's like time stopped. I shake my fists and mouth 'fighting!' whilst still looking at him.

He then dodged the teams attack and did a layup and scored. The referee blows the whistle.

"WE WON!" Jungwon yells as everyone from the crowd from our school stands up and starts jumping, cheering and clapping.

I seen Ni-Ki smile while his teammate's congratulate him and pat his back.

The players then go off the pitch. The other school wasn't happy but still clapped out of respect.

It was a very close match.

"Come on guys! Let's get out of here so we can congratulate those 4." Jake says moving us along to quickly get out. We eventually do, even with that whole crowd of students.

Because the match was for the duration of the whole school day as an event instead of school work, we got to go home early. However me, Jungwon, Sunoo and Jake decided to collect the other guys.

We stood in the PE department waiting for them to get out. It was starting to get cloudy even though it was sunny this morning. I was scared it was going to rain but even if I had an umbrella just in case.

"Oh, it looks like it might rain guys." Sunoo announced after feeling the breeze of cold air.

"Yeah.. it's fine I have an umbrella!" I said.

"Yeah so do I!" Jungwon said.

"Let's hope the other guys do too because I'm not sharing my umbrella with them after they're all sweaty from playing basketball." Jake said shaking his shoulders as if disgusted.

"You do realise we're even worse after football?"Sunoo says.

"Whatt?? Noo.. I don't sweat." Jake said.

"Instead of sweat it's cologne that comes out of my armpits." Jake said proudly.

I just stood there shaking my head while Sunoo gave Jake a disgusted look.

"I feel like that's worse.." Sunoo said.

"Whatever point is I smell nice." Jake said.

"Sure you do. If everyone else smells like dog poo." Jungwon says cheekily.

"You better watch how you talk to your elders!" Jake said.

"Oh sorry, sorry... grandpa." Jungwon says muttering that last part.

"You!-"Jake messed up Jungwon's hair and bickered with him. Me and Sunoo just stood there laughing at them.

As we were causing havoc, the basketball team came out. Sunghoon, Jay, Heeseung and Ni-Ki walked towards us.

"WOAH! Look who it is. The star players of our school!" Jake says teasingly.

"Everyone bow down!" Sunoo says teasing them also.

"Get the red carpet! Get the red carpet!" Jungwon said.

They just shook their heads and smiled.

"We're kidding! Great game guys." I said.

"Thanks." Jay said smiling.

"That was a very close call today though. Good that Ni-Ki scored that last shot." Jungwon said.

I still couldn't get used to the fact that Ni-Ki was really Riki. It was so obvious but I was so stupid that I couldn't notice.

"You guys did a great job cheering us on though." Sunghoon says.

"Yeah, we could hear Sunoo's high pitched dolphin scream from a kilometre-.." Ni-Ki says getting slapped on the shoulder by Sunoo.

"야! (Hey!)" Sunoo says shaking Ni-Ki as payback. The others just laughed.

The others just talked amongst themselves for a bit.

I felt a pair of eyes on me. I look to the side and see Ni-Ki staring at me intensely. I didn't know what to do so I just stared back at him. And then I realised who he really was and I glared at him. He stared  back at me.

'Has he been lying? Is he trying to act as if he didn't hit and run that night? Did he really forget who I am? It's been 3 years, but those memories are worth millions of them.' My thoughts kept repeating.

I'm still mad at him. He broke my heart.

I broke the eye contact between us after I felt a cold breeze under my skirt. I got goosebumps.

We were under a rooftop but we were outside. It started raining.

"Uh guys.." Jay said.

"Haha losers I have an umbrella!" Jungwon said sticking his tongue out and opening his umbrella up.

"Oh really? That's great!" Jay said getting closer to Jungwon and going under his umbrella.

"Hey! You're all sweaty and disgusting! Go away, shoo shoo!" Jungwon said.

"I also have an umbrella." Sunghoon said taking out his.

Sunoo took out his umbrella and opened it up.

"Are we meeting up today later?" Sunoo asked.

"Yeah we probably are. I'll text the details on the group." Jay said.

I was paying attention to what Jay and Sunoo were saying that I didn't notice Heeseung behind me with his umbrella.

"Hey, you have an umbrella or do you need one?"Heeseung asked.

"Oh no it's fine I have one." I said taking out mine and opening it up.

"Thanks for offering though." I said and smiled at him.

He just nodded and smiled back.

"Sunghoon-형. I'll go with you." Ni-Ki said.

"Heeseung has a spare one ask him for it." Sunghoon said.

"Heeseung 형, can I have your spare umbrella?" Ni-Ki asked Heeseung.

"Yeah go ahead take it." Heeseung said handing it to Ni-Ki.

"Alright bye guys we're gonna go. Text the group about the meet up." Jungwon said. Him and Jay left through the gate.

"Yeah I'm also gonna go. Y/n you coming with?" Sunoo asked.

"Yeah sure let's go." I said smiling.

We had our separate umbrellas.

I left so I didn't know what happened with the others after I left.

Me and Sunoo walked up to the bus stop together and he said this is where he takes his bus home so I had to say goodbye to him.

After that I was walking with my umbrella past a couple of shops. I remembered I had to restock on groceries as there was nothing in my fridge. I stopped at a grocery store and got what I needed.

As I was getting out of the shop the wind blew really strong and as I tried to open my umbrella, it broke. My umbrella broke. And the worst part it wasn't raining, it was POURING. If I ran in this rain I would catch a cold.

I tried to go back and buy an umbrella, as my one broke. But when I looked in the rack with all of the umbrellas, they were sold out.

People must've ran here before me and bought them.

I just sat there and sighed waiting under the grocery shop with my shopping, praying for the rain to go away. I sat down a little beside the entrance next to the bike shed. There a roof there so it was fine. Plus I wasn't disturbing anyone anyway.

I didn't even notice how tired I was until I leaned my back against the wall.

I dozed off without realising.

The next thing I see is me getting carried on someone's back while they're holding an umbrella in their hand.

I barely open my eyes. And realise where I am. I jolt back and then look around.

'AM I GETTING KIDNAPPED?!' I thought and panicked.

I tried to get out but the person had strong grip. They halted.

"Stay still. I'm not gonna hurt you. Just don't say anything and trust me k?" A male's voice said.

I recognised that voice. And the smell was so strong, and so familiar.

'IM ON RIKI'S BACK?!' I realised.
