Chapter 7

I smelled something horrible. Disgusting. I went to the kitchen and saw Ayato. Ayato making whatever that thing was in the pot.

"Oh hello Thoma! Would you like to try some of this?",  Ayato said, offering a spoonful of, was that boba mixed up in miso soup?

"You know I really have to clean the bathroom-", Ayato stuffed the spoon in my mouth. Ew. I was about to throw up. I turned around and left for the bathroom and came back.

"My lord, next time, maybe try to not add the boba", I said.

"But the boba was the best part", Ayato said as I stared at him, dumbfounded.

Suddenly, Ayaka burst through the door. She looked, very nervous.

"Guys I need help!"

"Ayaka? What is it?", Ayato asked.

"Yoimiya just invited us for dinner. All of us",

"If you're that worried, just be yourself. You'll be fine", I said with a smile as Ayato nodded in agreement.

"When's the dinner?"

"Today".

"TODAY?!", I almost screamed.

"Its fine we should just leave now", Ayato said reassuringly.

We all left the Kamisato Estate, and head to where Yoimiya was. There were no whispers anymore. Just smiles and waves directed to us. It felt so nice. No rumors, no nothing.

We walked up to the restaurant Yoimiya invited us to, and found her sitting on a table.

"We didn't keep you waiting did we?", I said happily.

"Nope! Don't worry about it! I'm glad you guys could make it", Yoimiya said.

We sat down and got our menu. Ayaka and Yoimiya were talking about, well, fireworks and stuff, while me and Ayato were third wheeling. Or fourth wheeling, whichever one was correct.

I finally decided to say something.

"Ayato puts boba in his soup". All eyes were now on me and Ayato.

"It wasn't the taste I was hoping for, but it was an interesting combination", Ayato said proudly.

"Are you sure he's your brother?", Yoimiya joked.

"Yup".

"Anyways who wants some drinks?", Yoimiya said.

"ME!", both Ayaka and Ayato said at the same time. I guess they really are siblings. I didn't want any alcohol, I couldn't let it interfere with some of my work. Ayato didn't really have that much of a workload, which was probably why he took the drink.

Yoimiya invited Ayaka for a "girls only sleepover no boys allowed", so Ayato and I were alone. In the Kamisato Estate.

And not to mention that Ayato was probably drunk.

"Hey Thoma I need to tell you something", Ayato said, looking straight at me in the eye. He looked like he was gonna fall down so I had to hold him by the shoulders to keep him stable.

"Yes, what is it?"

"I loveee youu~"

What.

Yes I did have a teeny tiny crush on Ayato, but I didn't think this would happen.

It's not like I don't like him back but,

I feel really happy for some reason. I wonder why. Perhaps it was the dopamine release.
