Chapter 5

Thoma's pov

Ayaka and I have been together for a while now. But I don't think it's working. I don't really feel love for Ayaka. Nor does she to me. We both are just acting at this point.

What worries me most is seeing my lord stressed out. Usually he is confident in what he does, but nowadays, he's been looking worse and worse. I wonder what's wrong with him.

Today Ayaka and I were going on a stroll throughout Inazuma City. The whispers still filled the air, but I didn't mind. I looked over at Ayaka, but saw her looking at someone else.

Her eyes were fixed on Yoimiya. That wasn't surprising, Ayaka had told me she had feelings for Yoimiya. But she never worked up the courage to tell her anything.

Finally I took a deep breath.

"Ayaka we need to talk"

I led Ayaka inside the Komore Teahouse. We both took our seats.

"What did you need to tell me Thoma", she asked.

"I really don't think this is working out. I mean, it's not like I dislike you or anything, but I don't really feel like we should be "dating". Besides, you deserve someone better, like Yoimiya", I said to her.

Ayaka opened her mouth then closed it.

"I've been thinking the same thing. This isn't right. I don't like you. Well- I do like you but not like that. It's my fault. I shouldn't have started this. I should have asked Yoimiya first", Ayaka sounded like she was gonna cry.

"It's not your fault. But I agree, our hearts belong with someone else", I said hopefully.

That night, Ayaka and I returned to the Kamisato Estate.

"Ayato we have to tell you something"
