The next morning was quiet as many of the villagers from every village were hungover from last night, this morning valka told me that there was another dinner going to be held but only the Cheifs and their familys were to attend and I was invited for eret, it was held in the Cheifs hut tonight. I agreed and went about my day I did meet with eret and tell him what happend last night, along with valka, they weren't impressed but laughed when I explained how he reacted with nip, I did my rounds and got some updates from the dragon community with no suspicious information, I did however hear the way Hiccup turned away every girl for a dance except for Astrid and he had to explain why he wouldn't dance with the Cheifs daughters.

The day was nice and warm and i decided to go to the field that I slept in for a while, some dragons joined me in basking in the sun. Hours passed and then the night was upon us and the Cheifs meal as well, I left the field early to help valka cook oden knows she needs it, I ended up fixing the rest of the meal because she had no taste it seemed. Soon the meal was upon us I had set the long table with valka along with placing the food in its place, valka would sit at one end and hiccup at the outher The chiefs and their wives closest to hiccup along with me and eret the children would have the older teens near the chiefs and the younger ones near valka. Dinner went wonderful, the begging starting smoothly, I got many complements from the chiefs and their wives, and I had a nice conversation with Amy, that is untill Cheif Khad had a question for me.

" ahem so alayah... I don't mean to be rude but why are you at the Cheifs table up here? I mean I can understand valka but even she is near the children. Hmm?"

" oh- well I'm freind of valka and have helped her with the dragons and I have become a close family freind with hiccup as well-"

" so what your saying is your a glorified wench?"

Eret stands abruptly before I can stop him his chair screeching against the wood floor.

" Carefull how you speak about my mother Cheif Khad. This is supposed to be a nice dinner for the chiefs and their familys as chiefs hiccups adviser is allowed to invite my own mother am I not?!"

I make eret sit down and give him a look, thanking him but telling him to shut up as well. The Cheif looks surprised next to Amy Annus, and puts his hands up in surrender.

" I don't mean to offend apologies eretson, I was simply asking the reason as to why she was here. Cheif Hiccup, why don't you tell us how you tamed your beast of a night fury instead?"

Hiccup surprised at the sudden change of topic relented and started to tell his story, soon everyone was invested in the story of how he met and trained toothless to how he fought against drogo and loosing his father but meeting his mother. We all clapped afterwards, then Amy asked me a question.

" so alayah, how do you help valka with dragons? You never really said anything"

" oh well I help train and heal them when they need it it's not much-"

" not much?! Alayah you've saved many of dragons and villagers with you skillset that you have, I have never seen someone so comfortable with dragons, not even hiccup nor I, shes downplaying what she does the villagers have even given her nicknames and gifs for her help"

I feel a blush rise to my cheeks and I rub my arm shyly as valka showers me in praise.

" nicknames? Do tell as well as this skill that's so valuable alayah?"Looking at cheif Onus next to me I shrug and take a deep breath." well the villagers call me 'the dragon speaker, or the dragon mother, due to the fact I can calm many of dragons as well as train them, there's also.... the fact that I can speak ....... to them that helps..."

Many voices break out shouting in chock and exclaiming their surprise even the teens were surprised at this fact, hiccup stood and calmed everyone down before speaking.

" yes, lady alayah can talk to our dragons and that helps us all in the village with determining whose sick and how to train and take them, it's not easy and very difficult, alayah along with my mother and myself are the only three people who can tame them before they bond with the villagers or a rider."

A small scoff followed my mumbling is heard next to Cheif kads wife, and our attention turns to the boy, eret speaking up.

" care to share your thoughts with the rest of us broughtson?"

The boy that was a sorry excuse for flirting looks up in shock realizeing he had got caught before steeling himself and speaking,

" it can't be that hard to tame a dragon, you just have to show them whose boss and they'll listen to you right? I mean I could do it by time we leave"

" really? Would you like to try to tame one of our dragons then? We have a few calmer ones who are used to new people trying to tame them, if anything we could invite the invitation to any of the Cheifs kids-"

" I want to try- Me too!"

One of Cheif Annus sons stand and the eldest daughter of Cheif Onnus stand as well.

"If it's all right with your parents I don't see why not, we have the alpha dragon here so your shildren won't come to harm we can give them each a dragon that was worked with prevously for them to train untill you leave-"

" what happens after? When say one of them does successfully train one of your dragons?"

" well if that dragon is trained and one of the teens becaome their rider then I guess they would get to keep that dragon, we can set up some tests and challenges for both the dragon and it's trainer so see who wins"

The Cheif were all in on it now the prospect of keeping a dragon was on the table and now everyone was talking about it then the broughtson speaks up.

" wait I don't want one of the dragons that's allready been worked with, I want a challenge not some easy dragon give my your biggest dragon and I'll tame him in no time"

I look at hiccup to see what he says knowing that I am the biggest dragon that lives one the island,

" no, I'm sorry but our biggest would be too troublesome only alayah and valka have gained her trust-"

" So you do have a giant dragon on the island? Come on I want a challenge at least give us a good chance not the easy ones I bet we all could use some challenges!"

" there talking about frigg, our ancient mother dragon-" I whisper to eret

" FRIGG! I heard alayah! I Want frigg the dragon Cheif hiccup!"

Hiccup sighs standing he looks at valka then me and with a sneaky gleam in my eyes excited to humiliate this boy I nod, then he looks at Cheif broughtson who accepts, then hiccup stands.

" well it's settled, melee onnusdotir you will train a Skrill, Henery Annusson you'll train a thunderpede brad, you will attempt to train frigg, we will have to get alayah to get frigg out of her hideout, alayah?"

" yes, though I feel she might have a nest she won't leave it completely unattended so if I were to convince her to come to the village I wouldn't be able to stay here, and I may be able to convince her to let me watch the nest for the time being untill further notice"

" ok sounds good, now I suggest that you all read up about your dragons, we have journals here or if you ask valka she can tell you about them, you will meet the dragons tomorrow afternoon and start to trim the day after."

Dinner quickly winded down after that and everyone left the teens ready to leave to their rooms in order to get tomorrow to come faster, I took Hiccup aside to speak privately.

" hiccup I need at least three decent size rocks coverd in toothless's shedded scales by lunch tomorrow, that way if needed i have a reason to 'stay behind to protect them, do you think you can make it work?"

" of corse, do you need anything else?"

" I'll need to take eret with me, I can't keep something this important from him any longer, we will load up his dragon with the eggs so they look like food and supplies to seem unsuspecting if anyone sees us leaving"

He nods and I give him a hug thanking him, telling him goodnight along with eret, as I leave the hut I see brad waiting for me his hands behind his back like he's waiting for someone.

" ah alayah! Just the lady I want to see, I was wondering if you could tell me about this dragon frigg? She can't be too bad can she?"
