09. You Complete Me

Have you ever been avoided by someone for more than a week? Maybe for two weeks or more? If you have never experienced it, you can ask Win.

Win had always met with many people who were used to be around Bright, but there was no Bright around them. Last month, Win was the one avoiding Bright, now it was his turn.

Win did not look for Bright actually, but he wondered why he could not see him. This afternoon, he was with Mook who helped him practice singing. They walked to the lobby together after the practice, then he met with Toy, Mook's boyfriend.

"Sawasdee khrab, P'Toy."

"Oh, Nong Win." Toy greeted him back. "How do you do?"

"I'm good. How are you khrab, Phi?"

"Great. It's good to see you doing well." Toy replied as he waved to his girlfriend.

"Are you here... by yourself khrab?"

"No. I'm with Gunsmile, but I don't know where he is right now." Toy checked his back. "He's gone. Maybe he already left to meet Ai Bright and abandoned me."

Win's lips opened a bit when he heard the name. But then he stopped, trying not to ask more.

Toy noticed how Win's body tensed up after he mentioned Bright's name, so he decided to leave Win alone for now on. "Umm... I have to go with Mook now. See you later, Nong Win."

Win bit his lips. There was no reason for him to meet with Bright, so no matter how strong his desire to go to where Bright was, he had no idea what he would do when they meet.

Win's footsteps directed toward the elevator. He parked his car in the basement today. From behind, he heard someone running and the sound was getting closer to him. When Win was about to turn around to see, his shoulder was held by that person.

"Ai Win, wait."

"P'First...?"

"Let's get in the elevator." First pushed Win in. He pushed the button to 30th floor.

Win's jaw slacked when he saw it. "But, Phi, I'm going to the basement. I'm going home."

"Huh? No way. Are you serious? Oh, but it's going up now. Sorry na." First grinned.

"Did you just arrive, Phi?"

"Umm. I'm already late for my next schedule. The traffic almost killed me." First panicked. First was responded with a nod from Win. While the younger man watching the floor numbers changed in the small screen of the elevator, First observed him. He suddenly remembered his friend. "Anyway, Ai Win, you are driving today, right?"

"Khrab."

"Then, can you help me to drop P'Bright off his condo today? I came with him this morning. I still have a schedule until 10 PM and I have no heart to let him waiting for me." First looked worried.

Win's eyes dilated. His lips were shaking.

First startled himself after seeing Win's reaction. How could he forget what happened between his friend and this junior? He emitted a deep sigh. "I'm sorry na. I already heard about you from P'Bright. Just... forget what I asked earlier if you are uneasy. I will ask others to drop him off."

"That..." Win wanted to reason but words would not come out from his mouth.

First raised his eyebrow and smiled slightly. "Phi told you that some of us knew, didn't he? Actually, we all only know that you are important to him since it was obvious. He was a straightforward person. If he doesn't announce it out loud then he will show it in plain sight." First said. "When Phi broke up, I was not surprised at all. Most of us expected it to happened sooner or later." First chuckled.

The elevator stopped at the 30th floor. Before First stepped out, he said... "Well, just in case you change your mind and want to drop him off, P'Bright is at 'Imagine' Meeting Room on the 20th floor."

Win threw his back to the elevator wall. He closed his eyes and pressed his lips together in frustration. "I hate myself." He murmured before his eyelids lifted. He pressed the button to 20th floor immediately. Having no idea about what he would do, he still did it.

The view from the double door with glass design showed Win that people inside were discussing about something. He could not hear it. They were all cheerful, laughing. Win did not see Bright. Bright must be at the other side of the U-shaped table because the table was long and only the round part could be seen from the door.

Win spotted Guy, Krist, and Lee, who were sitting facing the door. When Win noticed that Lee caught him watching them through the glass, Win stepped aside from the door, hiding. Not long after that, the door was opened. He saw Guy came out.

"What are you doing there?"

Win shook his head.

"Do you want to come in?"

"No, Phi..." Win denied in whisper and waved his hand. "You guys are busy."

"Huh?" Guy acted like he could not hear Win. "Come here. Come closer to me. I can not hear you."

Win was forced to stand in front of the door. He had no problem with it, actually, since there was no Bright near the door. "Khrab, Phi?" Still, with a low volume, but Win did not whisper anymore.

"Are you looking for someone?"

"No, khrab."

"Then, what are you doing here?" Guy asked. "You can join us. We almost finish."

"Umm... P'First said he still had schedule until 10 PM so I'm gonna drop P'Bright off at his condo." Win answered.

"Oh. Does Ai Bright know about this? He told us nothing."

"I've been wondering the same thing, Phi. But just now, I was about to LINE him." Win explained.

Guy nodded. "Umm, ok. Are you interested in joining us for dinner before coming back?"

Win's eyes widened. There was a little sparkles in his eyes. "So, you guys are going to hangout? Then, I guess, one of you can drop P'Bright off after that khrab. I'm going home."

In fact, Win was not sure if he was happy with the fact that this group had a plan to have dinner after the meeting. The plan would save him from the awkward situation between him and someone who he had not met for a month. On the other hand, he could feel that the butterflies in his stomach dead when he heard the plan.

Guy sighed. "Oh, boy. You leave me with no other choice." Guy scratched his head. He turned his face to the right. "Ai Bright! Did you hear that?!" He called the name. "Don't you think it's a perfect time to go home?"

Win was surprised. If Guy was not his senior, he would put his hand over Guy's mouth. One thing that Win did not notice was... the room which previously full of the sound of laughter, had been quiet for a while since Win started talking in front of the door. His voice might be soft and low in volume but the people inside were able to hear it when the room was noiseless and the access to outside was opened.

Win waited for a moment but Bright did not appear yet. Win knew it. Bright had not wanted to meet him yet after the last time they talked to each other.

"It's Ai Win, isn't it?"

Win gasped as he heard Bright's voice. It was close as if Bright was behind the wall.

"Umm." Guy said yes.

"Really?"

"You see it yourself."

When Bright finally showed up and already wore his sling bag, Win could not hold the easiness and peace of mind. He knew his eyes glistened, and his eyes stuck on Bright.

Guy left them after giving a pat on Bright's shoulder.

Bright stepped forward, so Win had to stepped back for Bright to be able to close the door. Bright turned to Win and found the younger one was still staring at him in admiration.

"Are you alright, Ai Win?"

"Umm."

Bright exhaled heavily with a smile on his face. "Come on. We are going home." He put his arm around Win's shoulder and brought Win to start walking away from that place.

What can I say? I wished Bright could avoid Win a little bit longer and Win was failed to find him hahahahaha but I could not help it :p
