Chapter 27: Gone

Your POV

Still holding the cloth of Noodle, I walked back to where everyone was, with my ugly face covered in tears.

I saw as Russell, with an eager face scanned around me to see if she was there; I saw as his soft smile turned into a shattered face.

"S-she's gone." I whispered under my breath.

"SHE'S FUCKING GONE, MURDOC! AND IT'S ALL YOUR FUCKING FAULT!" I screamed, running at the green man. I was ready to throw a painful punch at his face.

I delivered a blow.It was heavy, carried by the weight of my sadness.

I watched as he fell unconscious into the ground, with a nose now bleeding.I prepared for another punch, but I felt strong arms pulling me back.

I looked behind me to see Russell."C'mon girl, don't do that. Please!" he begged.

"WHY THE FUCK SHOULD I HESITATE?!" I cried. "I COULD TELL HE FUCKING KNEW IT WAS UNSAFE! DOES THAT PIECE OF SHIT EVEN CARE SOME YOUNG GIRL JUST DIED?!"

I looked into Russell's eyes and I saw tears form."I know you're sad, (Y/N). We all are. We just have to recover–"

"DO YOU FUCKING CARE, RUSS?!" I growled.

"I...." Russell looked down. "I quit."

I felt a hard bang in my chest as Russell let go. I didn't feel like punching Murdoc.I felt like punching myself.

"R-Russ-"

"I said I quit. You deaf?" he hissed. "I'm going now."

I watched as he walked away, dragging his feet.

I looked over to 2D and saw him sitting on the ground, covering his face.

He then looked back at me with tears on his face.The blue haired boy stood up and ran to me.

"(Y-Y/N)..." he stuttered.He gave me a big hug, followed by a sob.I sobbed too. I cry when people cry.

We both sat on the ground, still hugging. We stayed for maybe an hour.

"Wot dew we do now?" 2D asked."Let's go." I answered. "Let's leave this shitty band."

"I-I uh." 2D broke the hug and fumbled with his fingers. "Dis may not be da rite tiem, but I dunno, da sunset looks noice rite now."

I looked into the sky, it was pretty nice.Yet, a bit of me is saying that's not what 2D intends to say.

"Is that all?" I spat out.2D shivered and looked at me.He proceeded to wipe the tears off my face.

"Nah." he chuckled nervously."I kno we jus' lost someone, but yew kno, I don' wanna sepr'ate wid yew when we both leave Gorillaz but..."

I watched as 2D put his hand in his pocket.

He pulled out a beautiful bracelet.

"Fo' yew." 2D smiled as he handed out the accessory. "I've been meanin' tew ask yew somefink..."

"What is it, Stu?" I asked as I felt my cheeks heat up a bit.

"Y'know, fo' da past tiems, yew've been noice and all dat. Yew've been kind and a great person tew someone liek me." 2D said. "Well, befo' I gif a speech 'bout how much I luv yew, will yew be mah gurlfrend?"

I felt my face heat up.I didn't see that coming.

I felt myself shaking a bit and before the words came out of my mouth, my lips collided with 2D's.

We shared a passionate kiss that would remain in our memories for who knows how long.

I broke the kiss, and my answer came out of my mouth.

"Yes."

And from that day, we never let go of each other, metaphorically.
