Chapter 7

08:07, 17 November 2013

Billy and I sat there and watched Zak, Nick, and Aaron walk around and talk about stuff. I saw a couple of things, but I knew that the guys wouldn't be able to see it on the cameras. All of this was causing a lot of anxiety for me. Leonard would say some stuff that would calm me down, once in a while.

Then it came time for me to go in with them. I heard them talk about letting me in the building. Billy then hooked a mic up to me and gave me a recorder and a camera. I smiled at him and he wished me luck. I then entered the building, at least the part that wasn't the control center. Leonard was with me too. I was glad that he was tagging along.

"Okay, so we are now going to go in some of the areas that there have been attacks on women. Are you ready, Lea?" Zak asked me. It was pitch black. I could only see things through the tiny screen. I could see that he was facing towards me.

"Yeah, I am as ready as I'll ever be." I told him. We then walked further into the building. Aaron and Nick told me that I would be fine. I knew that I would be.

"Here is the patients room. This is the one where there was a doctor went insane and murdered a couple of people, including nurses." Zak said. I looked around the room and I was already feeling really bad. I didn't say anything, though. I figured they weren't going to do anything yet.

Let's get some EVPs." Nick suggested. I ended up being in charge of it. I asked some basic questions. They were nothing special. I was sure that my voice sounded really strong, before I actually spoke. There was no way that I was going to look scared on the camera. Leonard kept whispering stupid stuff as I asked the questions. I knew there it was going to pick up some of his reponses.

"We are going to take this back to Billy, then we are going to send Lea on her own as we watch her." Zak said. I felt my stomach drop. I did not want to be alone in here. But this was now my job. We walked back to the room and they gave me a new recorder and made sure that the camera was okay. Then they sent me out of the room.

I walked down the hall slowly. I wasn't sure of where I was going. I was just walking. I then walked into a room. It wasn't until I panned the room, with the camera, that I realized where I was. I was in the surgery room.

"So here I am, in the surgery room. It feels really bad. I feel like I need to leave. But I am going to take some EVPs. If they want to talk, I guess." I said outloud. I then pulled the recorder out. I asked a couple of questions, then I started to feel really cold and scared.

"Okay, this is now getting worse. I feel really bad and really really cold. I don't know how much more of this I can take, honestly." I told them. I then stood there in the silence for a while.

"Ever feel like someone is watching you? That is what it feels like right now." I said again. I was sure that something was going to happen. I was right. I was then picked up and thrown against a wall. I dropped to the floor.

"Damn it." I said as I held my head. I had droppped the camera. I felt terrible and I could hear chuckles. This was really not happening. This couldn't be happening.

"Could you guys get the fuck in here?" I said loudly. My head was pounding and my shoulders were hurting really bad. There were footsteps running to me. I didn't open my eyes, though.

"Lea, are you okay?" Zak asked me as he came closer. I opened my eyes and he had a flash light with him.

"I think I will be. I just need to get out of here." I moaned. He held me to my feet, then we started to walk out of the room. He grabbed my camera and walked out of the room. I couldn't get out, though. It was like there was a glass door in my way. This was like an energy door. Mine wasn't allowed to pass.

"What is wrong? Come on. You need to sit down." Zak told me. I knew what I needed.

"I can't get out. I can't leave." I said to him. I knew that I sounded really panicked. I had everyright to be.

"Zak, I can't come out. It is like there is something that is stopping me." I explained to him. He then grabbed my wrist and started to pull me. He couldn't get me out.

"Damn it. I am doing my best, Lea." I heard Leonard say. I sighed and made Zak let go of me.

"Just give me the camera." I told Zak. He handed it to me and I looked around the room. There was a figure that was smiling at me. It came closer to me and made me drop the camera on the ground. He then lifted me up and threw me on the ground. Zak saw it happen.

"No! Stop! Not her! Leave her alone!" Zak yelled at my attacker. He couldn't see him, but he saw me be thrown around like a rag doll. He then came in the room and picked me off of the floor along with the camera. I was afriad that he wouldn't be able to get out, now.

"Nick! Get the first aid ready." Zak said to the X camera. He then walked me to the room. I was shocked that he could get me out of there. He walked into the room and I saw that Aaron was filming.

"What the hell was that?" Billy asked Zak and me.

"She was just attacked. Did you not see that?" Zak answered him. He was now getting really upset. He set me in a chair in front of Nick. He had some stuff out. He then started to clean something off of my face.

"We saw that. Are you okay? You were thrown pretty hard." Aaron said. He seemed to be really concerned.

"Yeah, I will be fine. Look at my camera." I told them. Zak opened it and went throught the film.

"What do you want us to see?" Billy asked me. He was pugging it up to one of the computers.

"Right before the second throw. See if there is something there." I told them. Nick was done cleaning the scratches off of my face now. He then looked at the back of my head. I wasn't bleeding, but it felt like it.

"Right there, Bill." Zak said. Billy then started to play it out. I turned and looked at it. There was something. I caught something on camera. It was a giant blackness that came to the camera and surrounded it then it was thrown to the ground.

"That is really weird." Aaron said as he looked at it. Billy played it again. Nick looked over to watch it this time. We all saw what had happened. There was a large black mass that came to the camera and consumed it. Then it was dropped on the floor.

"Are you okay?" Zak asked me as he came over to me. I looked up at him and smiled.

"I will be. I think that it is just a couple of bumps, because everything seems to be working just fine." I explained to him. He seemed to be a little more relieved.

"We are going to go back in, you are going to stay in here with Billy." Zak told me. I knew that he would go back in. There was something in his eyes that was different, though. The way that he was looking at me was strange.

"Let's go back in that same area and see if we can get something like that." Nick suggested. I knew that the guys were going to he along with that idea. As they left, I went to sit with Billy. He placed his hand on my own, as we sat there. I was glad that he did. I needed just something that was calm.

We watched Zak, Nick, and Aaron in the room. I was getting really anxious for them. I didn't want them in there at all. I then took the radio and called them.

"Guys, stay out of there. You aren't welcomed in there." I told them through the radio. We were watching their reactions on the camera.

"We can't. There is something in here." Zak radioed back to us. I sighed and put the radio on the desk.

"Hey, just come back into base." Billy then told them.

"Bill, not now. We are getting some responses." Zak said to him. I looked to see that Leonard was really pissed.

"What? They are being retarded. There is something in there, though. It wanted to kill you." He told me. I sighed and looked at Billy. He was really watching the moniters. I picked up my camera and I left the room quickly. I went down the hall and to the same room.

"Guys, really. Go to the morgue. There is stuff there. Just get out of this room." I told them. They were shocked that I was there. NIck came over to me.

"Alright, let's get out of here, then." Nick said. Zak sighed and we all walked to the morgue. I figured that I would stay with them for a while. We went in the morgue and I was right. There were things in here. They kept coming up to me, though.

"Guys, there is something here and it is using my energy." I told them all. I was already starting to feel really tired and out of it. I knew that I had a lot of energy for them to use.

"Can you use one of our energies instead of her's? Or are you too scared to?" Zak asked. He was starting to get angry. I sighed and looked around the room. There weren't many, but they were still taking the energy from me.

We stayed there for a while longer. I was glad to leave, when we did. I went back to the control center and they went to another part of the hospital. Billy was really concerned, but he didn't say much. We sat there and watched the cameras.

"Lea, you dropped your necklace. I think that there is going to be another friend with us, now." Leonard said to me as he handed me the necklace. It was the one against attatchments. I touched my chest and I felt that it was the only one that came off. It must've came off when I was attacked.

"Just be careful and I will do my best to help you out with it." He told me. I smiled at him and nodded my head. I then put the necklace back on.

When the lockdown was over, I was happy to be out of it. I didn't ever want to come back here. I was really hoping that we were able to get some really good evidence, too. Once the owner let us out, we went back to the hotel. We were just miserable as we went back to the rooms.

Before Zak and I fell asleep, I lit some sage. I wanted him to be ableto sleep for a while. When we woke up, we would start getting rid of the attatchements. I laid in my bed and I saw that Zak was already asleep in his own. It wasn't long before I was asleep too.

~~I was in my old house. I was in the apartment that I shared with the man that I had loved. I walked in the small kitchen. There was sunlight that was coming through the curtians that was giving the room a nice little glow. There he was. He was sitting at the table, reading his newspaper. I walked to him and he looked up at me with disgust. His grey eyes were full of anger.

"What are you doing here? I thought that I told you to leave! You are a horrible beast!" He yelled at me as he got up. I started to back away from him. He then walked closer to me and grabbed my wrist.

"There is no reason for you to even be alive. Your mother died because of you. Your father hated you and you knew it. What would make you think that you could ever be happy with anyone?" He asked me. He was getting really angry and the grip on my wrist was tightening. I tried to pull out of it.

"Stop, please, you are hurting me." I said back to him in a pleading voice.

"No, you don't deserve anyone. You don't deserve anything. You are worthless and sickening to even look at." He hissed at me. I was really starting to get scared. The man that I onced loved was saying these words to me. It hurt more than what I thought it would. He then got really mad at me and started to drag me to a basement.

"Lea, Lea, wake up. I'm here. It's Zak. I am not going to hurt you." I heard Zak say. I opened my eyes and I looked up at him. He was sitting over me. He had one arm on the otherside of my body and his free hand was on my face. His touch was really gentle, like he was going to break me.

"What happened?" I asked him as I sat up. I tried to make it seem like I wasn't sure about what had just happened.

"You were having a bad dream. You were whimpering and you said something about someone not hurting you. You just kept asking for someone to not hurt you." He said to me. I sighed and looked at his face. He knew that there was something wrong.

"Yeah, sorry about that. Did I wake you up?" I asked him. He smiled and shook his head.

"Don't worry about that. I am fine. Are you okay?" He asked me. I sighed and sat up. He moved a little, so that I could get up. I looked around the room and Leonard was sitting in a chair and there was something else with him. It was a large black mass. It had red eyes and an evil smile. It was in the corner.

"It was what caused your dream. It is able to go in your mind and bring back the bad things." Leonard told me. He seemed to be really pissed off at it. I looked at it one more time. It waved at me and I started to get really concerned.

"I'm fine. Let's just get back to sleep." I told him. He didn't move. I looked at him one more time. I didn't think that he had taken his eyes off of me.

"You aren't and it's okay. I am here for you, if you want to talk." He told me. I sighed and laid down as he got off of my bed.

"Thanks. I will think about it." I told him. He got in his bed and the two of us fell asleep again.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

We woke up about 3 hours after we last woke up. Aaron came in and told us that we were going to leave for Nevada pretty soon. Once he left, I got up and I went to get dressed. Zak did the same. Leonard told me that we had to take care of things, but I wasn't able to find the time to do it.

"Zak, we have to take care of your problem." I reminded him as I packed my small bag back up. He looked at me and sighed.

"I know. Let's do it when we get to a hotel." He told me. That was probably the best shot that we had of getting any time.

We were going to drive the van and my car to Nevada. Nick was going to drive the van and I was going to drive my car. He and I agreed that at 9:00, we would find the nearest hotel. That would mean that we would make some pretty good timing.

I had found out that Zak was riding with me. I wasn't really excited about that. According to Leonard, the others were trying to help Zak out with me. He had a thing for me, but he was too polite to do anything. Zak and I got in my small car and followed Nick in the van with the others.

"So what was that dream about?" Zak asked you. You sighed and gripped the steering wheel. The drive had been really quiet for about two hours now. There was no way that I was really going to get out of telling him, with out seeming like a bitch.

"It was about something that had happened to me a while ago. It is really nothing." I told him.

"It was something, if you are having nightmares about it." He told me. I sighed and kept looking at the road.

"Yeah, it was. But it is nothing, now." I said. I really wanted him to either shut up or change the subject.

"Was it the thing that makes you run?" He asked me quietly. I had heard it and I felt like my heart had dropped to my stomach.

"How did you know?" I asked him. It wouldn't surprise me if he had read any of my journals. They were just laying in the trunk of my car.

"No, I figured that it would be. I am sorry about it." He said. I then looked at him. He was looking at his lap. I looked back at the road and sighed.

"Don't be. I kind of asked for it myself." I explained to him.

"What was it?" He asked me.

"When I got out of highschool, I went to college with the guy that I loved. He and I shared everything, except I didn't tell him about what I see. once we were done with college, he had asked me to marry him. I told his yes. One night, I decided that I would tell him all about what I could see. I had drawings and I got some help. He seemed to be okay about it, at first. The next morning was different. He was abusive and he had attacked me. He said some of the worst things to me and I finally just left him. That was when I realized that I couldn't really tell anyone or get close to anyone for that matter." I confessed to him. My voice had broke a couple of times while I told him about all of that. He sat there and said nothing for a really long time. I figured that he had nothing to say to me.

"I am sorry that someone would be like that to you." He finally whispered. I shook my head and wiped a tear away.

"It's really okay. It wasn't your fault, it was my own. I was the one who did it." I told him. He then touched my shoulder.

"It wasn't your fault. It was his. He was the one who couldn't accpet it. He couldn't understand that you are able to do an amaing thing." He told me. I listened to him. I really didn't believe anything that he was saying.

"Zak, you can't tell me what is my fault and what isn't. You don't know what I am and what I have done." I told him.

"I am not going to argue with you, but I know that you are good. You didn't desreve that." He told me. I felt another tear come out of my eye. I wiped it away and kept driving. Just like I had always done. Drive but this time I had a passenger with me.
