Chapter 6

08:04, 17 November 2013

I walked out of the hotel and down the street. I couldn't stay there and have them look at me like that. I wasn't sure why I felt like that. I felt dirty and unworthy. Those are two things that I had been dealing with for a long time, now, but I still didn't like the feeling. It was something that I hated more than anything else that I could really think of.

"What happened? Why did you run off like that?" Leonard asked me. I sighed and ran my fingers through my hair.

"Look, it was a personal problem. I didn't like what was going on." I told him. He then started to walk in front of me.

"Why did you run off like that, though? They were really upset when you did that." He informed me. I shook my head as I kept walking.

"I need some time, okay? I just don't want to deal with that at the moment." I told him.

"Don't want to? Or is it that you can't? I am intune to your emotions. What the hell happened?" He asked me. I was not having this conversation. Not right now, at least.

"No, not here. Not now." I said quietly. I knew that he heard me, because he got out of my way and walked at my side.

I walked around the block and a little more. There wasn't really much that I could do in the area that we were in. Once I finally calmed down, I walked back to the hotel. I saw that Zak was standing outside, waiting for me. I sighed and closed my eyes. I needed to collect my thoughts, before I want to talk with him.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" I asked Zak as I walked up to him. He smiled at me and he looked really relieved.

"I was waiting to see if you were okay. Are you?" He asked me. I smiled at him and nodded my head.

"I am fine, but thanks." I told him.

"Why did you run off like that?" He asked me. I then started to walk into the hotel.

"I did it because I felt bad. I am not sure why, but when y'all started asking questions, it brought back a bad feeling. I am sorry about that." I told him. He sighed and held the elevator for me.

"I am sorry that we asked too personal of questions." He told me.

"Don't be. It's my own fault. Really." I explained to him.We then got off at our floor. Aaron was waoting in the hall, while he was messing with his phone.

"You found her! Nick! She is back!" He yelled out. Nick then came out of his room.

"Hey, I am sorry if I did something wrong." He told me. I smiled at Nick and shook my head.

"You did nothing. It was all me. I am soryy for making you all worry. I really didn't mean to." I told them. Nick smiled at me then pulled me into his arms. I was caught off guard. I wasn't sure what to do, so I froze. I then realized that it was a hug. I relaxed a little and hugged him back.

"Nick, really you are okay. It is honestly me. You did nothing wrong. I am just a mess." I told him. this was sort of like a message to all of them. Nick then let me go and I took a step back.

"So when are you boys going to interview people?" I asked them. It was almost time for lunch and they hadn't really been out.

"We are going to do a couple tomorrow. There aren't that many today. Tomorrow, I think that we should introduce you to the show, officially." Zak said. I looked at him and he looked like he was really happy.

"That is a good plan. I am going to hang with Billy, if he will let me." I told them. I really hope that he wasn't scared of me. That wouldn't be a good relationship to have with a coworker.

"If he is still shaken up, you can come with us. We aren't really doing anything fun." Aaron offered. I smiled at him and nodded my head in response. I then walked to Billy's room. Leonard was with me. I looked down at him and he seemed to be calming down a little more.

"Hey, are you and I cool? Or do you need some more time or space?" I asked Billy as I walked in his room. He was sitting on his bed and messing with his phone when I walked in.

"I think that I am okay. I have loads of questions, but I think that they will be answered in time." He told me. I smiled at him and sat next to him.

"They will. I just need some time." I told him. He then put his arm around my shoulders.

"Hey, we know that. We can tell that you are broken. Maybe hanging with us will help you mend yourself." He told me quietly. He was really nice to me. I closed my eyes and thought about what he had just said to me.

"I hope so too. If not, I can just go to a samll random town and be a librairian again." I told him. He chuckled at that and got off of the bed.

"I need to make a call, so I am going to go outside." He told me. I got up quickly and I ran to the door.

"No, I will leave. It's cool. I am going to hang with the others." I told him. He nodded his head and smiled at me. I walked back to Aaron, Nick, and Zak. Leonard was getting really anxious.

"Go ahead, you cna do something fun." I told him. He looked up at me and beamed with joy. He was like my little invisible child.

"What are you guys doing?" I asked them as I walked in Nick's room. They were sitting randomly in the room. Nick was on the floor, Zak was in a chair, and Aaron was on the bed.

"Absoluetly nothing." Nick mumbled to me. I smiled at him.

"That's great." I said. I sat on the bed with Aaron, who had moved his feet for me. Leonard seemed to be really interested in Nick's suitcase. He then lifted a can of shaving cream up.

"Why the hell does he have so much shaving cream? Does he man-scape everyday?" Leonard asked as he started to set three cans of shaving cream out of his bag.

"Why do you have so much shaving cream, Nick?" I asked him. It was a legitimate question, with the three cans of shaving cream on the floor, sitting upright. Nick looked at his bag then he started to freak out.

"How did those get out of the bag? Are you guys playing a prank?" Nick asked Zak and Aaron. they both looked at him then at the shaving cream.

"Why is it that you have so much shaving cream?" Aaron asked him. Zak was sort of freaking out. I could see that he was trying to think of a reason of why the cans would be out of the bag.

"Guys, calm down. I know what caused the shaving cream to come out of the bag. Y'all know that I can see things. Well the night that I gave me necklace to Zak, I got an attatchment. It's cool. He is pretty okay. He was the one that did it." I told them. Leonard was still wondering why someone would need that much shaving cream.

"That was pretty weird." Zak said, finally. I smiled at him and rolled my eyes.

"Are you positive?" Nick asked me. He was still freaking out. I sighed and smiled at him.

"I really am. Let me show you. Could you bring one of them over here?" I said to Leonard. He walked to the shaving creams and picked two of them up. He then brought them to me.

"I am not your monkey. I will not be doing this everytime you want to show off." He told me. I smiled as I took the cans away from him. I knew that the guys had just seen two cans of shaving cream float to me.

"See? It is harmless. So just chill. Some more stuff like this might happen when I am around." I told them. I looked around the room to see their expressions. Aaron was austounded, Zak was confused about what had just happened, and Nick looked really scared.

"So when stuff like this happens, assume that it is you?" Nick said. His voice gave out as he asked that.

"No, only when I am here. If I am not here and something happens, then get me. Because that isn't my little buddy." I told them. He nodded his head and looked at the cans that were in my hands.

"Why do you have so many cans of shaving cream, though?" I asked him. He looked up at me and blushed.

"The others are always asking me for some, so I brought a can for each of us." He told me. I laughed at that. Zak looked at him like he was insane, because he was.

"Well thanks, I guess." Zak said as he was looking at the shaving creams. He seemed to be the only one in the room who wasn't too effected by the fact that there were two cans floating in the air.

After that little incident, we went to grab a lunch. We went to a little fast food place and ate there. Afterwards, we got in the van and drove off to the old hospital. I wasn't sure if I should go, but Billy was going too. We arrived at the place and there were a couple of cars outside.

We walked in the building and went up to the people. I stayed with Billy. Once in a while, Zak and I would end up next to each other. I was really careful to not get near him during the interviews. I stayed and watched them talk with the people.

There were a lot of weird stories. It seemed like women weren't comfortable in many places of the building. the men that had expireiences, didn't like to go in the waiting room of the old hospital. There was a woman that wouldn't even come in the building. All of this made me really suspicious about what was really going on here.

Then the guys went behind the building. Billy and I followed them. I was sure that there was something that they were going to talk about. Nick and Zak leaned against the wall and Aaron had his camera pointed at them. Nick had a shot of Billy and I.

"Okay, we are going to have to do the intro now, because I want you to come in the building with us." Zak said to me. I sighed and looked at Leonard. They saw that I was looking at the ground.

"Fine, let's do it then." I told them. Zak smiled at me and Nick lifted his camera a little. Billy pushed me towards Aaron and I looked at him.

"Since the ghosts in thie building seem to not like women, what if we brought a woman in here while we inverstigated?" Zak said. I smiled at him. I was glad that he was going to fill the viewers in, before he just introduced me.

"Lea, would you go in tonight?" Nick asked me. I saw that all the cameras were pointed at me.

"I guess, but not for too long." I told them with a smile. I was really nervous, now that the cameras were on me.

"Lea is our new audio and visial tech, along with Billy." Zak said. I saw that Nick had then placed his camera back on Zak.

"So tomorrow night, we are taking the three of us and Lea inside to hosptital." Zak said.

"It is going to be a good lockdown, I can feel it." Nick added. They then let the cameras down.

"Could I go in and look around? Like I look around for my thing?" I asked them. Nick sighed and looked at Zak and Aaron.

"Yeah, you can. Should one of us go with you? Since there have been attatcks and such?" Zak asked me. He seemed to be really concerned.

"I guess it wouldn't hurt." I said quietly. No one moved to come with me, though. I sighed and looked at all of them.

"I am not a witch. I am not going to curse any of you." I reminded them.

"I will come with you." Zak said. He walked to me and the two of us walked in the building in silence.

We entered the place and I was feeling a little uneasy. Zak could tell that I wasn't exactly the same. He stayed close to me as we walked through. I went to the surgery room. There was a doctor that would kill people, so that he could make money off of their organs. There were a could of things that I would see moving around the shadows.

"Zak, when I come in, could you not yell?" I asked him as I turned around. He looked at me with wide eyes.

"Is there something wrong with that?" He asked me. I sighed and looked around the room. There was something that was watching me.

"It is just that I don't like being targeted, okay? That and you sort of scare me, when you do." I told him. I had only seen the show once or twice and I didn't like it.

"I won't yell or make them angry." He told me softly. I knew that he would keep his promise. Then the sun started to go down.

"Let's get ouf of here." I told him. He smiled at me and let me out of the room first.

When we got back to the hotel, Loenard kept reminding me that something was going to happen. I tried my best to watch Zak. Neither of us were sure when it was going to happen. It was stressful for me. Just knowing that something bad was going to happen to him, was enough for me.

As the night wore on, Billy had explained to me what we were doing tomorrow. It all seemed really easy. I was able to dig up some records of deaths and incidents that had happened at the hospital. The guys were really impressed with what I could do. I was glad that I was able to help out a little.

"I am going to head off to bed." I told the guys as I got up. They all looked at me. I saw that Nick had looked at his watch.

"Yeah, it's pretty late. I think that we should all head off to bed." He said. Bille, Aaron, and Zak agreed with him and the five of us went to our rooms.

Zak and I got ready for bed in silence. I wasn't really sure if we needed to talk. I kept looking around the room at the attatchements. Leonard was getting really agitated. It was just really annoying. We didn't know when or if it was going to happen, by this time.

"Goodnight, Lea." Zak said as he laid in his bed. I smiled at him and I turned my light off. I then looked at the ceiling. It wasn't long before I was drifting off to sleep.

"Damn it, Lea! Wake up, bitch!" Leonard said as he woke me up. I looked at him. He was really worried.

"What the hell?" I asked him. He then pointed to Zak. There were attatchments that were holding on to his arms and legs. It looked like they were holding him in place. Then one of them touched his head while it stood over him. He opened his eyes and he saw the attatchment.

"No! No! No! Not now! Stop!" He said as he started to freak out.

I got out of my bed and grabbed the brown bag. I brought it over to his side. He wasn't paying attention to me. I pulled out matches and the sage that the witch had given to me. I lit the sage and it started to burn. I saw that it was draining the demons. They slowly let him go and I set the sage on the bed side table.

"Zak, are you okay?" I asked him as I made him look at me. He was panting and sweating. I should have reacted better to that. I should have been quicker.

"Yeah, now I am. Did I wake you?" He asked me. I sighed and looked at the floor.

"No, that was my little thing that woke me up. I saw that you were trapped. I am sorry that happened." I told him. He said nothing as he sat up.

"What is that burning?" He asked me. I looked at the sage then back at him.

"It is just sage. Does it smell bad to you? I am sorry. It just weakens them." I told him as I got off of his bed. I picked the sage up, to put it out. Then Zak grabbed my wrist.

"No, it's okay. I kind of like it." He told me with a smile. I smiled back at him as I set it back down.

"I guess we should get back to sleep." He suggested. I nodded my head.

"Let's hope that nothing else happens." I told him. He then looked at his bed. I felt like he was going to say something else, but he didn't. I said nothing as I went to my bed. I then laid down.

"He wanted you to lay with him. Ugh, you two are going to take forever to lay each other." Leonard complained. I smiled and rolled over as I fell asleep.

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

The next day was full of interviews and people talking to us and telling us about what they had seen. During lunch, I laid in the back of the van and took a little nap. Aaron told me that they had opened the back and saw me. They filmed a little bit of me sleeping. I wasn't too happy about that, but what was I going to do about it now?

As we got closer and closer to nightfall, I was getting nervous. All of the stories kept rushing through my mind. I was sure to wear my necklaces, so I was really hoping that nothing bad would happen. Zak was watching me closely. He and Nick could tell that there was something off about me.

"Are you ready for tonight?" Billy asked me. I smiled at him as I sat at the little control center that we had.

"Yeah, it is just the same thing that I see everyday. Except, in the dark and we are looking for them." I told him. He knew that I was joking with him. He smiled at me and pulled his chair up to the moniters.
