Chapter 5

03:04, 29 March 2016

*???'s POV*

The wind flew my hair back as I sprinted down the ally ways. The space was small and almost claustrophobic.

The pursuers weren't giving up on the chase but I was faster than them. I came out of a clearing and into the trees.

I took to the branches and darted through the thick forest.

I heard a branch snap and a kunai came darting my way. I dodged just in time to avoid getting hit by i but lost some speed.

"Tch!" I growled picking up speed again. I was running out of chakra as I had been propelling my self faster with it.

I could see another clearing up ahead but there were already figures occupying the space.

I knew I was in another village and my trackers must have realised too as i couldn't sense them anymore. I breathed a sigh of relief but continued to hide in the trees and not get spotted but the other ninja.

Why did I let this happen? Why am I alone now? Why did I cause this? Why...

With that tears rolled down my face slowly and I found it hard to fight down my sobs.

*Ryuua's POV*

It was a few days later and we were back at the training grounds. I had wanted to go see the hokage about our living arrangements but I had given in to Yuki's pleas to wanting to stay at the training grounds so we had. We just finished watching Neji spar with lee.

We hadn't learned much ninja training from the academy so we were still new to everything.

The academy had been good but we hadn't gotten to know many of the people as we were with the hokage a lot to talk about ways to find information on our clan. It was the first time since our first day here that we were back at the training grounds.

"Right, who wants to go next?" Lee asked looking around.

"Would you two like to train?" Ino asked referring to me and Yuki.

"We actually don't remember anything about our chakra or ninja training" I replied looking down a little embarrassed.

"Well we could train you!" TenTen smiled and me and Yuki grinned back and nodded.

"I'll train you in the power of youth! By that I kind of mean tijutsu" lee took a fighting stance.

"I can teach you chakra control" Neji added.

"I can show you some jutsus if you'd like" hinata murmured and I smiled kindly at her and she smiled back.

"I'll show you how to handle your weapons" TenTen grinned.

Eventually most people had offered to teach us something. By most I mean that sasuke being the duck butt he is just left and Sakura seemed to hate us so she bailed as well.

We didn't care though we were just happy that everyone was being so nice.

I started off with learning ninjutsu with the help of Hinata and ino, who had come round and she was actually really nice, except the fact that she fan girled over sasuke every 2 minutes.

Yuki was with lee to begin with and was learning taijutsu and now she was with Kiba and Neji talking about chakra control.

I learned some cool new ninjutsu's like-Ninja Art, Dancing moon rose - this was a jutsu which let me manipulate flowers and turn them into poison vines that would paralyse the enemy, I personally like that one best out of all the ones I learned.

I was now learning about ninja tactics with the lazy ninja himself, Shikamaru.

"And if things get too much of a drag, just use your jutsus" Shikamaru sat back against the tree we were sat under.

"Ah, I get it" I replied uniting my braid and letting my wavy hair fall down my back.

"You do?" Shikamaru asked opening on of his eyes to look at me.

"Yeah, it's like a game of shogi right?" I looked over to him tilting my head.

He opened both eyes and smirked at me nodding."Not bad, newbie. I guess I'll have to play shogi with you some time see if your actually good" he chuckled and I laughed.

"Bring it on, I bet I'd win!" I smirked smugly and he just raised and eyebrow and shook his head.

I laid back into the grass and closed my eyes as the cool breeze swept past me. As usual my peace was shattered by a certain hyperactive dimwit.

"RYUUUUAAAAA! Come on! It's getting a bit late and we still don't have a house! we need to go see the hokage!" She called waving over at me.

"Peace destroyer" I muttered under my breath before pulling myself to my feet.

"Coming?" I asked Shikamaru. He shook his head sighing.

"Nah, I'm gonna stay here a bit longer. Later, newbie" he waved lazily and I rolled my eyes and shrugged.

*Shikamaru's POV*

I watched as the newbie left to join her friend.

Who knew she liked shogi. Bet she can't beat me tho! Well we'll have to see I guess.

I stared up at the clouds as they began to turn an organgey colour.

"What a drag. They have it easy, just floating around with out a care in the world, no responsibilities, I wish" I muttered looking over at Ryuua getting tackled by Yuki.

Huh, those two are a interesting pair. I thought once more before closing my eyes and leaning back against the tree again.

*Yuki's POV*

That was so fun! I love training!

I had learned new jutsus, chakra control and weapon handling! Who knew being a ninja was so fun!

"Well, let's go get a house from the hokage!" I smiled at Ryuua who was still recovering from me tackling her.

"Need a place to stay I see" We turned to see kakashi Sensei standing behind us.

"Um wellllll" Yuki scratched the back of her head.

"The hokage saw this coming so he selected a temporary accommodation for you two. By this I mean you only have the house until the end of the academy." Kakashi shook his head before throwing us some keys and disappearing before we could say thanks.

"I guess we will see you in the academy tomorrow then." Choji said In-between eating his like 7th bag of chips.

Gah! I can relate!

"Yeah! See you later!" I waved as we took our leave. I skipped away and Ryuua followed lazily dragging her feet.

Once we were back in the streets we saw a figure in an ally.

I was curious so I took a detour down the ally.

"Yuki! Ever hear the phrase, Curiosity Kills The Cat! In this case you are technically a cat so, DUH!" Ryuua scolded me and I stuck my tounge out and continued down the ally.

I began to hear sobbing and i frowned at the noise.

"G-get away! I-I know your th-there!" A silvery voice echoed from the end of the path.

I got close enough and then saw that the voice belonged to a girl huddled in the corner staring at me intently while shaking through sobs.

"Are you okay?" I knelt beside her and she just looked surprised for a moment before nodding.

"W-who are you?" She asked as she slowly stood up.

"I'm Yuki Hatashi and my friend Ryuua Seki is at the end of the ally." I smiled and she shakily smiled back.

"Well you don't look too good, your all bruised, would you like to come to our house, when we find it." I asked and she tilted her head to the side.

"Well we kinda don't know where it is but we do have one I swear!" I laughed and she just smiled in response.

"I-if that's okay w-with you" she stammered and I smiled back before leading her out of the darkness to where Ryuua was.

"Your back what were you thinki- wait are you okay?!" Ryuua asked worriedly looking at the girl stood next to me.

She looked around our age and had long silvery grey hair and dark purple eyes. Her knee length white dress was torn and stained from what looked like blood and tears.

What has she gone through? I thoughts myself as we began to walk again.

"Well thanks for taking me in. Sorry about the trouble." The girl smiled at us.

We had finally found our house and we're currently sat on the couch. The girl had gotten changed into some of our clothes. She had on my kimono from the day we got here and a light grey pleated skirt with knee high socks and ninja shoes.

"No problem. Wait we still don't know your name!" Ryuua realised and I gasped sarcastically which earned me a glare from Ryuua and the girl to jut laugh.

"My names Umi, Umi Utaka"

Hope you liked it!

I'll write more about Umi in the next chapter and will also include a photo of her.

Well they have been in naruto for about 3 days now and I can't wait till they begin to learn more jutsus!

Well thanks for reading!
