Chapter 12 - Luffy and Kid

"So you're telling me... Your son's name is Kid."

"Yes, Shanks. Kid. Eustass fucking Kid."

"Kid... Like kid? As in kid? Like the child but kid?"

"Yes. Yes. Yes. And oh what was that again? Fucking yes!!" You shouted as you continued to repeat the unending answer to his stupid question.

"Pfftt- B-but... Why?" Shanks shove a hand on his mouth as he tried to look straight at you.

"What do you mean why?"

"...L-like...Why?"

".... You sound so stupid right now, Shanks. You know that right?" 

"Pfftt..."

"...."

"DAHAHAHAHA! FROM ALL THE NAMES YOU CAN CHOOSE, YOU CHOSE KID?! DAHAHAHAHA!!!" He laughed as he rolled around the floor while clutching his stomach.

Your eyebrows twitch as you watch him go around your living room.

Now if he could just bump into that table and make the vase fall into his stupid head...

"DAHAHAHA! I-I-I'm sorry... I just...I just... I can't... pffttt... DAHAHAHAHA!!"

Fuck it. You'll do it yourself.

You cursed at him as you started to roll your sleeves up. Ready to pummel him from making fun of your son's amazing name.

You were just about to go after him when a hand grabs your shirt. You abruptly stop and glance back at the couch.

Kid glanced up at you. He looks like he needs help as he tried to push the little rascal away from him. Luffy giggled as he continued to wrap his long-ass arms around your son.

You internally sighed at the sight.

Of course... Like father like son...

"Ugh... Fuck this shit." You grumble to yourself as you sat down on the floor where the two kids are playing.

"Shishishi!!" Luffy giggled as he cuddles on your son. While Kid looks like he is regretting his life choices.

"Luffy, let go of Kid. You're killing him." You sighed as you gently unwrapped the rascal's arms.

Luffy tilted his head at you before looking back at Kid. He babbled something before finally letting go of your son.

As soon as he was let go, Kid swiftly crawled over to your lap and hugged your stomach. You patted his back as you glance over to Luffy.

He grinned at you as he also climbs your lap and leans on Kid. Your eye twitched a bit from the affection that you were getting.

"DAHAHAHA!! You look great, Y/N!!" Shanks laughed as he wobbled over to you and the two children.

"Tsk! Finally done laughing your ass off?" You growled at the redhead as he sat beside you, patting Luffy's head.

"Yup!" Shanks grinned at you.

You rolled your eyes at him before looking down at the two kids staying on your lap. Kid is trying to push Luffy off while the little rascal is only grinning at him.

"Shanks, take your brat off me." You said as the two started to push each other off your lap.

"Eh?? But they're having fun!!" Shanks grinned as he took his phone out and started to record whatever was happening.

"Shanks..." You growled as he continued to videotape the fun fight.

"Dahahaha! It's like a mini-me and a mini Y/N are fighting!" Shanks laughed as he took a few steps back to fully record everything.

You sighed at him, knowing that the redhead wouldn't do anything to stop this childish fight.

You glanced down at your lap, seeing Kid holding into your shirt with one hand while the other is pushing Luffy off by his cheek. Luffy pouted, not liking the action, as he tugged on Kid's shirt, causing both of them to headbutt each other.

You gasped at the sudden sound as the two quickly pulled away and started to sniffle a bit.

"Shit." You whispered as you hold onto the two kids, they whimpered as they lean onto your chest.

"There, there. Don't cry." You mumbled at them as you rubbed their forehead with each hand.

Luffy whimpered, tears streaming down his chubby cheeks as he held into his sore head. While Kid was only sniffling as he leans onto your touch.

You sighed at the two as you gently bent down, kissing both their foreheads. The two children quickly stopped their crying as they looked up at you.

"There. No more pain." You smiled softly at them. They gawked at you before wrapping their stubby hands around your stomach once more. You patted their backs as you lean on your couch.

"Woah..."

You whipped your head towards Shanks as he continued to hold his phone up, pointing it towards you and the two kids.

Tsk. He's still recording?! His son just got injured! Idiot.

"What?" You grumbled at him.

The redhead just gaped at you like a fish as he looks back and forth between you and the kids.

"That... That was... It was..." Shanks murmured as he slowly pulled down his phone.

"What is it?" You sighed at the idiot as he walked over and sat beside you.

"You... you don't remember?" Shanks whispered as he rigorously taps against his phone.

"Remember what?" You frowned at him, still patting the two kids as they rest their heads on your stomach.

"... Here... Watch." Shanks grinned as he pushed his phone towards your face.

Your eyebrows twitched but let him be as you gazed at the video that is now playing on his phone.

It was from what happened just now, the kids were pushing each other then they bump their foreheads. Your face flushed when you saw yourself lean down and kiss their bruise.

"W-what the-!" You gawked as you continued to stare at his phone.

"DAHAHAHA! I DIDN'T KNOW YOU CAN BE SUCH A SWEETHEART, Y/N!!" Shanks shouted as he laughed at your blushing face.

"D-delete that! Shanks!" You growled as you tried to snatch his phone out of his hands but he quickly stood up and got out of your reach.

You cursed at him as he laughs at your predicament. You can't stand up since Luffy and Kid are still resting on your lap.

"I won't delete it! It's a great memory captured!! Wait till the others see this! Dahahaha!" Shanks continues as he jumps around, looking at his phone.

'This childish idiot!! My reputation would be ruined if the others see that!! They'll tease me for life!'

You glared at the redhead as you crossed your arms across your chest.

"Aww... Don't be like that, Y/N! Don't worry, I'll send you a copy as well!!" Shanks grinned as he tapped on his device, your phone quickly ringing as a message was received.

Your eyes twitched as you watch the red-haired man. After a while, you just sighed and let him be.

It's not like you can do anything about it.

"Whatever. Let's go eat lunch." You grumbled as you started to carry the two children in your arms as you walk towards the kitchen.

"Good call! I'm starving!" Shanks grinned as he follows closely behind you.

You settle the two kids down on the counter as they stared at each other. You sighed at their rivalry before starting to prepare the food.

-- A few hours ago --

"Dahahaha! Y/N is probably still asleep." Shanks snickered as he grabs Luffy and a small bag filled with baby things. He started to walk over to Y/N's house, managing to open the door with a spare key he managed to steal from Y/N's key holder.

Y/N knows that the redhead stole the spare keys but didn't bother asking for it as she just asked Iceburg to make her a few more.

Shanks glanced down at Luffy, placing a finger on his lips so that the rascal would stay quiet until the surprise. Luffy giggled as he nods his head once he saw his father's mischievous smile.

The red-haired man placed the bags down in the living room. He and the kid started to go up the stairs, the man all too familiar with the layout of the house.

"They'll probably be in Y/N's room," Shanks muttered to himself as he took silent steps towards the door. He was just about to open it when he heard noises in the room beside it.

Luffy tugged on his father's collar as he gurgled, pointing over to the crimson red door. Shanks smiled down at his son before moving over to the new target.

"From the picture, Y/N's son has red hair so it wouldn't be surprising if his door would be red as well." Shanks snickered at his best friend's simple thinking.

He took a deep breath as he glanced down at his grinning son. Shanks grinned back as he raised his fingers.

"1....2....3!"

*Slam*

"Y/N!! Luffy and I are here!!!" Shanks shouted as he slammed the door open, a grin present on his face while his son is babbling incoherently as well.

The redhead continued to smile as he glanced around. He saw Y/N's son looking at them with wide eyes as the kid started to crawl back from the sudden noise. Shanks tilted his head a bit as he saw Y/N still asleep on a mattress in the middle of the room.

"Eh?! You're still asleep after all that noise?!" Shanks gawked before facepalming. Of course, she's still asleep. This is Y/N we're talking about.

Shanks placed Luffy down on the pads. He glanced over to Y/N's son and saw that he is looking scared as hell.

"Hello! My name's Shanks, I'm Y/N's best friend!" The red-haired man grinned as he took a couple of steps closer to the child.

The kid didn't hear anything as he is too focused on the two strangers suddenly barging in the room. He is a couple of ways away from Y/N and she is still asleep so if the man decided to take him, no one would know.

Shanks frowned a bit as he watches the kid whimpering and starting to cry. He stood still for a moment, just observing Y/N's son as he tried to crawl over to his mother's far away form.

"Hey kid, don't worry, I'm not going to do anything to you," Shanks said to calm him down but the kid's crying only seem to worsen as he started to gasp a bit.

The redhead cursed to himself as he saw the kid starting to panic. He tried to take a few steps closer but that isn't doing much good. He glanced a bit towards Luffy to see him tilting his head as he also watches Y/N's son.

Shanks rubbed his face as he turned his focus towards Y/N's form. His best bet is that Y/N would be the only one able to calm the panicking child. One quick look at the still whimpering kid was enough for the redhead to dash over to the mattress and shake the woman awake.

"Y/N!! Y/N!!" Shanks muttered as he tried to wake his best friend up.

Unknown to him, his actions made the kid panic even more. Fearing what the red-haired man would do to her, the kid tried to crawl over to them but the crying and gasping were proving to be difficult.

"Y/N! You idiot, wake up!! Your son is crying and I think it's my fault!!"

"Ugh... go away."

"Y/N!! Wake up already!! Your son is panicking!!"

"... Huh??"

"Your son is panicking!!!"

".... What?!" You growled as you quickly stood up and push the redhead away from you. He grumbled a bit but let you be as you ran over to your son.

"Hey, hey, Kid. Don't worry. Everything's fine." You whispered softly on his ear as you hug him closer to you.

The kid continued to cry as he clutches onto your shirt, resting his head on the crook of your neck.

You continued to whisper soothing words at your son as you glance around the room. Shanks sheepishly grinned at you as you send him a glare. You saw Luffy watching the two of you as he tried to crawl closer.

"Calm down, Kid. These idiots are my friends." You muttered as you felt the kid's crying lessen a lot more.

He snuggled closer to you as you patted his back. After a while, the kid's sniffling was gone as he slowly pulled away from you. You gave him a smile as you wiped the fallen tears from his face.

"Y-Y/N!" Luffy giggled as he was able to finally reach you and your son. You smiled down at the little rascal as you ruffled his hair.

Kid looked up at you in confusion before glancing back at Shanks' son.

"Kid, this is Luffy. Luffy this is Kid." You introduced the two kids to each other as they continued to stare.

Luffy tilted his head a bit before giggling and clapping his hands in glee. Kid frowned a bit before hiding his face back on your shoulder.

"Dahahaha! Your son is a shy one, Y/N!"

"Tsk! Don't think you're not in trouble, Shanks!!" You growled at him as you place your son down so he can get to know Luffy.

Kid held onto your shirt as Luffy quickly wrapped his arms around your son. The raven head babbled incoherently as he tried to converse with Kid.

"Dahahaha! Sorry about that. I thought we could surprise you both. I didn't think your son would panic." Shanks sheepishly muttered as he tried to avoid eye contact.

You continued to glare at him before sighing a few moments later. This idiot doesn't know so it's not his fault.

"Whatever, just don't do it again." You grumbled as you watch the two children play, but it's more like Luffy trying to play with Kid while your son is trying his best to ignore him.

"Don't worry, I'll inform you next time!" Shanks grinned as he sat closer to you, also watching the two interact with each other.

"Hmm..."

"Anyways... What's your son's name?"

"Kid."

"Huh?"

"Eustass Kid."

"...Pfftt... Y-you're kidding right?"

"...."

-- Present --

"Your cooking is amazing as always, Y/N!" Shanks grinned as he stuffs his face with all the food you have presented in the table.

"G-gud!!" (Good!!) Luffy giggled as he also proceeds to follow his father.

You sighed at the two gluttons as you feed your son some macaroni. Kid frowned at the two strangers before deciding to ignore them, deeming your presence much better than theirs.

"Your son still needs to be fed?" Shanks snickered as he watches you.

"Yeah. Isn't Luffy too young to eat that much meat? He needs to able to chew all that." You questioned as well as you look up to glance at his son.

"Dahahaha! Luffy's powers allow him to eat so much. He's a rubber man!" Shanks laughed before drinking some sake he has stolen from your cellar.

"Rubber man... Huh... I've forgotten about that." You muttered as you stared at your son.

From what you've heard, your son has powers as well... You've forgotten to get it checked in the hospital...

"Hmm? Does your son has powers as well, Y/N?"

"Yeah... I forgot to get it checked. But I guess I could just find out sooner or later." You shrugged as you went back to feeding Kid.

"Then, why don't we test him?" Shanks suggested as he grins at you.

You frowned at him for a second before looking down at your son. The kid noticed the attention as he stared back at you. He patted your hand in what seemed to be comfort as he messily chews his food.

"I guess we could try that." You nodded at Shanks as you started finishing the rest of the meals.

Luffy crawled over to you and your son as he also opened his mouth. You frowned at his actions before sighing when Shanks wiggled his eyebrows at you.

"You can eat by yourself right?" You grumbled but still brought the spoon over to the rascal's mouth. He giggled as he let you feed him as well.

Kid frowned at Luffy as he patted your hand again to catch your attention. You brought another spoon to your son's mouth.

"Just a sec."

Pat.

"Here."

Pat.

"Chew it properly."

Pat.

"Wait."

You sighed as you the two kids fight over who would be fed by you more. Shanks just laughed as he watches you shove the spoon on their mouths.

"Done!" You gladly shouted as the food was all finished but then you realized, you haven't eaten a single bite.

You groaned as you slammed your head onto the table. Shanks laughing much more obnoxiously at your predicament. He grabs a plate of meat that he has hidden and place it in front of you.

"There! I was able to save some." Shanks grinned.

"... Ugh... Thanks." You muttered, proceeding to eat it as you saw the two kids looking at you with their dedicated eyes.

Not anymore, you're not!

You were just about to shove the last piece of meat on your mouth when someone tapped your arm.

You glance at your side to see Luffy gazing at you with his doe-like eyes, looking at the meat on your fork then back at you.

Your eyes twitched at the sight before you sighed in defeat. You raised the meat again and let him eat it. He giggled in glee as he chews the last piece of meat.

Shanks cooed as he wiggles from side to side, his phone present once again as he records the lovely memory.

Kid's frown deepens as he watches you give the last piece of meat to the raven head. He felt annoyed that these two strangers barged into your house and now they were stealing all your attention from him.

He clenched his tiny little fists as he hears the giggling and laughing. Tears started to appear on his eyes at the thought of you leaving him for these two strangers.

The kid slowly raised his hand, focusing on the spoons and utensils on the table. He watched as it all raised a bit, he quickly waved his hand and everything met its mark.

You gaped as utensils, from spoons to forks suddenly rose and hit Shanks and Luffy. The two were unharmed but the sudden activity was enough to make every one of you silent as fuck.

Shanks and you stared at each other for a second, mouths open in shock as we slowly move our attention to your son. Kid.

He still has his hand raised a bit as he has tears streaming down his face.

It wasn't hard to guess how and who caused the sudden utensil from hitting the two guests as you continued to gape at your son.

"...."

"Eh?!?!?!"

Hey guys!! New update yey!

Sorry for the long wait, I was too cooped up reading some stories and making new chapters for the rest of my books.

I currently have three other stories I'm working on... I know... That's a lot.

I'm still thinking when or if I'm going to publish it. So... I don't know...

Anyways, I hope you guys like the new chapter!!
