Obstacles Stop Me

T/W: Blood, Violence, Swear Words.

Alhaitham's POV:

"No no no no... Kaveh! please wait for me! I'm sorry!" I yell at myself in a panic, as I run through the rain,  because I completely forget that teleport waypoints exist.

I sprint as fast as my legs possibly can, I don't stop running until I spot an eremite camp in front of me. They are blocking the path, there's no way to get around them! "Sh*t", I mutter under my breath as I draw my sword from the abyss, preparing myself for the battle ahead of me.

As I get closer to the eremite camp I notice that there is a Floral-Ring Dancer Eremite. That's going to be such a pain to deal with! I'll have barely any effect on her with my Dendro powers against hers!

I get even closer to the turn in the path that the eremite group had taken over, they start to notice me, and soon enough they all have seen me and are charging towards me, weapons drawn and at the ready.

"Not today you damn eremites!!" I shout at them in determination as I run forward sword ready to strike.

The first eremite comes straight at me weapon drawn, but still completely defenseless, I quickly strike him with my sword as I run past and take out the few that were behind him.

There are more Eremites than I calculated there to be! "Damn it, I'm gonna have to use my Dendro vision", I say to myself as I stop in my tracks preparing myself to use my powers.

"Flicker", I say as I use my elemental skill to take out almost all of the small eremites in the area. There are a couple strays to my left, all charging at me with their weapons drawn, spears and swords alike. 

"Ahhhh.... this is so annoying!" I think to myself as I run toward the stray eremites who escaped my elemental skill, I strike them with sword, then throw my sword in the air and kick it done on them. They've all been taken out... Finally.

"Now all that's left is.... you", I say as I point at the Floral-ring dancer with my sword.

She becomes quite enraged at my action towards her. she immediatly, jumps off her ring seat, and charges toward me Dendro powers flaring in her hands.

I do the same and charge towards her with all my might, as I brace myself for the incoming impact of her powers to my body.

Exactly as I planned her powers hit me with great force, I fly backwards. Feeling the wind rushing through my hair as I get sent backwards and hit the rocky path, felt almost refreshing and like a wake up call, to get my shit together, and fight this woman head on.

As I lift myself from the ground, I can feel power surging through me. The rain running down my face, the gravel under my feet, the wind blowing trees back and forth, it feels like the surroundings and I are one. I can see and hear everything, I can feel it all.

I look at the Floral-Ring dancer with anger in my eyes, I could feel my Dendro powers surging within me ready to burst and explode in my opponents face.

I rush forward feeling the rain on my face, I bring my sword behind me and ready to swing at my formidable opponent. Once I become a meter within range of the dancer eremite, I bring my sword up and swing it down on the eremite before me, slashing straight through her shoulder, blood going everywhere.

The blood from the eremites shoulder got on me too, but was quickly running away with rain that drenched my body. Soon I was clean of blood once again.

I looked up at the Floral-Ring dancer I had jumped away from, and saw her grimacing on the ground, gripping her shoulder, trying to stop the bleeding, but to no avail.

This is my opportunity. I can finish her off! I feel my Dendro powers surge through me and into my sword, as I run toward the female eremite for the last time.

"A process of elimination!" I shout as I use my elemental burst on the floral dancer. 

My burst hits her my great power, she's goes unconscious, and soon turns into elemental energy and disappears into the abyss of nothing-ness.

Suddenly I remember why I was running in the rain, "Kaveh..." I whisper as I continue sprinting in the rain to get to Sumeru City, and stop Kaveh from doing anything crazy to himself.
