"Now what the hell was yaw doing out there so late?"

It was pretty obvious dad, we was kissing?

It was now 4:00 in the morning and my dad had made it his business to interrupt Maya and I in our heated ass moment in the hot tub.

I scratched my head and looked down at Maya for an answer she tried to hold in a laugh, her hand over her mouth.

"Couldn't sleep." I finally spoke. I mean it was the truth. Ever since I found out that Maya was coming on this trip with the family, I couldn't stop thinking about the way I was gone ask her to be mine. 

We first met only a couple months ago but time didn't matter me, she was feeling me and I was feeling her. I couldn't  go another day without her being mine..

"So you came out here and tried to make a baby in the hot tub?" Dad asked me.

"No, Lavar. We weren't- never mind." Maya shook her head smiling, trying not to laugh.

Dad couldn't help but smile either. That's what Maya did to people. She was amazing and I couldn't take my mind off of her even if I wanted to.

"I'll let it slide this time. I understand y'all teenagers and your hormones and shit is all over the place but you need make sure you use protection I can't have anymore grandchildren just yet."

"Dad, we wasn't even doin nothing like that." I covered my face. Maya was giggling like a kid beside me.

"We understand, Lavar." Maya nodded her head and dad turned back around headed for the steps. He looked back for a second.

"I knew yaw was gone get together sooner or later. It's about damn time. Now get yaw asses to bed. Tomorrow is our full last day in Maui!" He yelled.

My dad ain't give a damn that everyone was sleep.

After I heard my dad's door shut, I grabbed Maya and hauled her over my shoulder.

She squealed,"Wait where are you taking me?"

"I'm takin my girl to bed."

Shit that felt good to say._

The door creeks open and he enters shutting the it behind him, quietly.

He gently sets me down on his bed.

My hand rested on his face and I gaze at his lips.

"No don't look at my lips Maya. You best believe I'm gone kiss you. But not tonight." I frown.

"Just one more kiss." I pleaded.

"Maya if I kiss you, I don't know if imma be able to stop. I wanna do this right. I wanna do right by you. I just want us to lay here, okay?" For the first time, Melo was actually being mature.

He was right though. We had to pause on exploring each other.

"Okay, Melo."

I was ready to get under the covers and comfortable with Melo but there was just one thing.

"Wait I'm still in my swimsuit. I gotta go get some clothes." I try to get up from the bed but Melo grabs my waist.

"Just wear some of my clothes, shawty."

He really didn't want me to leave. I just let him give me the clothes and I go into the en suite to start my shower.

I took a quick shower and quickly got dressed in his SLAM t-shirt and some of his shorts. The shorts were so big that I had to tie the drawstring very tight. I was so tired.

When I got out of bathroom, Melo was sound asleep. He looked so quiet, innocent and cute. The only thing was he was still in his swimming trunks and I wasn't about to get in bed with a chlorine nigga.

Climbing into bed, I crawl over to him.

"Melo, wake yo ass up and get in the shower."

"That's why you ugly. I don't even understand how Maya could like you. She a crackhead."

"Shut yo ass up, you gone wake my baby up." Melo shushes Gelo.

I gushed. My back was turned towards them.

Yeah, I was already up. But I stayed still.

"So yaw kissed and got caught by dad ?" Gelo asks again to he can't stop himself from laughing.

"Yeah she was a really knew what she was doing, kissing me and shit. I really didn't want to stop. Dad just had to ruin it."

"I didn't ask for allat. Anyways I'm happy for you bro, yaw cute and shit I knew it was gone happen though."

Why does everyone keep saying that? First Lavar then Gelo.

Oh shit!

How am I gonna tell Kyle? What if he doesn't like Melo and kills him? What if he kicks me out of his apartment for dating a ball brother?

Oh my god. What am I gonna do?

"Oh she waking up, get out." Melo urges Gelo to get out the room.

I guess I was moving around a little bit.

A dip in the bed made me turn my body to see Melo.

My Melo.

I stretched my arms and legs, a following with a yawn.

"Good morning, shawty. How you sleep?" He lied right next me. I could see the faint freckles on his nose and the small hairs under his chin. He smelled good like fresh linens and cologne.

I scooted closer to lay my head on his chest.

"Really good." I replied.

Last night after Melo took a shower, we got comfortable in the bed.

My back was against his chest, his arm around my waist. And we stayed there like that. That nigga was so warm.

I had felt safe as hell in his arms.

"Good. Get ready and come down stairs for breakfast today's our last full day in Maui. We gotta make the most of it." _

"Good morning!" I walked off the last step smiling at everyone gathered at the table.

Today I was wearing a white ruffled tank top with light-washed denim shorts. My hair had been in braids but I decided to take the braids out and wear my natural curls.

"Good morning, Maya." Tina waved at me, smiling wide.

Oh no who told her.

"Hey lil Kuzma! Ready to have fun today?" Lavar greeted me loudly, as per usual.

"Yeah, Lavar."

Melo was sitting towards the middle of the table and had a seat empty next to him. When he saw me look his way, he patted the chair creepily. I laughed.

Lonzo was at the end if table with Kyle. I hugged Kyle's neck since he was sitting down. He flicks my arm off of him playfully.

Some brother.

"Hey Maya, can I talk to you for a sec?" Zo asked.

"Yeah." I nodded.

I followed him out to the backyard.

"So what's up, Zo?" We hadn't spoken to each other since last night.

He stop walked and turned around, "Well, I wanted to apologize."

"Apologize for what?"

"For not believing you sooner. It's just.. Denise she wasn't always like this. She was good, but now. I don't know what's gotten into her." He explains looking confused.

"It's okay Lonzo, it's only natural to trust the women that gave birth to your child. I hope you guys work things out. I'm always here if you need me, Zo."

"Thanks, Maya."

He pulls me in for a hug.

I'm glad we worked this out, I was concerned about him but I know things could only get better from here.

Denise was causing stress on Z and I hated it but I really hope things work out the way he wants them too. I won't wish nothing on nobody.

When we walked back inside the table was cleaned up and I spotted Melo and Kuz on the couch, talking up a storm and laughing.

Panicking , I made my way over to them, "Oh hey guys, what are we talking about?"

"Hey lil sis, so you just wasn't gone tell me that you had a boyfriend?"

My heart stopped.
